‘Spider-Man: Freshman Year’

Premiere: 2024

Announced on Disney+ Day on November 12 2021, a new animated Spider-Man series with the subtitle Freshman Year is heading to Disney+. It instantly caught everyone’s attention, as it might take place within the MCU just like their previous animated project What If…? and luckily Marvel quickly confirmed that it is indeed. It’ll explore Peter Parker’s time as he becomes Peter Parker in the series in a style that celebrates “the early comic book roots.” Jeff Trammel is acting as executive producer.

The Marvel Animation panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 finally gave audiences a bit more information regarding the show. There was confirmation of a 2024 Disney+ release and appearances by Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Nico Minoru, Amadeus Cho, Harry Osborne, Unicorn, Chameleon, Scorpion, Speed Demon, Tarantula, Rhino, and Doc Ock were announced.

As it has become customary with Marvel Animation projects, a second season was announced ahead of its debut. Spider-Man: Sophmore Year will then continue the story being told in the upcoming Spider-Man animated show.
