‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

Premiere: May 5, 2023

Originally scheduled to release in May of 2020, James Gunn’s dismissal and return as director pushed the film down the road a bit. In May 2021 we got confirmation of the newly scheduled release date, with the movie moving to May 2023. By late June 2021, production was said to be eyeing a November start date.

In October 2021 a trade report and later James Gunn himself confirmed that Adam Warlock, a character teased in the previous Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2, would be played by Will Poulter. The same happened a few months later as Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad) was reported to be appearing in the threequel, with James Gunn confirming said announcement just a few hours later. Later that same month both Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) and Nico Santos (Crazy Rich Asians) joined the cast, both in undisclosed roles. Both Iwuji and Bakalova later had their roles officially confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con 2022.
