Now that the strikes have ended, the various productions are finally revving back up to get their films out as best as they can. 2024’s release schedule will likely still be quite a bit empty compared to what they may have hoped for, but 2023’s box office is a sign that less is more for everyone involved in the film business.
One of the most anticipated films of 2024 is Deadpool 3, which is also now the only Marvel Cinematic Universe film set to release that year. As they have just restarted production, it seems Mirror has gotten some behind-the-scenes images that reveal a major spoiler for the upcoming multiversal adventure.
If you want to remain unspoiled on the film that is set to release next year, only continue at your own risk.
So, now that is out of the way. New images from Mirror reveal that Sabretooth is going to return in the upcoming film and also that it’s not going to be a long presence in the film. Ryan Reynold’s Wade Wilson is spotted holding the head of the character after him seemingly being decapitated by Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
We can’t clearly see which version of Sabretooth this might be, as he was played by Liev Schreiber and Tyler Mane in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men universe. If they are going all-in with the multiverse storyline, they could also clearly have both versions show up to give some closure on how X-Men Origins: Wolverine set up that they are brothers but Logan seemingly had no idea who he was when he appeared in the original X-Men. Either way, it’s great to see more familiar faces set to return.
