The battle for the fate of the DC Universe is far from over—in fact, the true war is just getting started.
Announced at San Diego Comic-Con, DC All In Saga: Darkseid vs. the World #1 is scheduled to hit comic shops on October 28, 2026. The massive 48-page oversized one-shot brings together architects Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson alongside powerhouses Sanford Greene and Yasmine Putri.
Serving as both an epilogue to the recent DC K.O. storyline and the catalyst for DC’s 2027 publishing roadmap, the issue dives deep into the origin of Lord Uxas, his endless hunger for Omega Energy, and the looming Absolute Crisis threatening all of creation.
The Origin and the Omega Threat
While the heroes of the Justice League Unlimited recently thwarted Darkseid’s bid to become “King Omega,” the Lord of Apokolips hasn’t been defeated—he’s simply evolved. Darkseid vs. the World pulls back the curtain on the hidden past of the being formerly known as Uxas, exploring his initial descent into tyranny and his crusade across the multiverse to gather every fragment of his cosmic essence to become Darkseid Prime.
The story weaves together the fate of the Fourth World, the New Gods (including Orion), and the whereabouts of Superman following his disappearance at the climax of DC K.O.
Speaking at SDCC, the creative team broke down why this one-shot is a vital cornerstone for both the main DC Universe and the Absolute line.
“The whole idea behind ‘All In’ was to give Darkseid a purpose and weight he hasn’t had in decades. He isn’t just an obstacle for the Justice League to punch; he’s a fundamental force trying to rewrite how reality itself functions,” said Snyser. “‘Darkseid vs. The World‘ is the connective tissue—it shows what Uxas has been building toward in the shadows since the breach, and it sets the stage directly for the Absolute Crisis waiting for our heroes in 2027.“
“Getting to draw Kirby’s Fourth World mythology through this dark, apocalyptic lens is a dream project. Darkseid in this issue isn’t just imposing—he’s an overwhelming, living myth,” teased Greene. “We wanted the art to feel heavy, raw, and kinetic, matching the scale of a god literally pulling the threads of the multiverse apart.”
