GEEKED WEEK: First Look at Upcoming Anime Projects Heading to Netflix
We’ve got a first look at some new anime series heading to Netflix. They’ve been busy working with some talented animation artist in the industry to bring some iconic new series to life, such as Exception. A new sci-fi series where people explore the galaxy to find a new home to terraform.
That#s not all, as there’s also a new project from Wit Studio titled Moonrise, which will very likely bring us some beautiful animations as they did with Bubble and Attack on Titan.
Last but not least, it looks like Netflix is actively working on a The Seven Deadly Sins spinoff that’ll explore the story of Tristan, Meliodas’ son in a new two-part film series.

GEEKED WEEK: ‘Masters of the Universe’ Gets a Sequel Titled ‘Revolution’
It looks like Masters of the Universe is back but will now get a new title. The series will continue exactly where the last one left off, but will now be titled Masters of the Universe: Revolution and no longer Revelation. While they won’t give away any details, we did get at least a tease with a new visual hinting at where it’s heading. the ending also set up a sequel which will likely where the story picks up.

GEEKED WEEK: ‘The Sandman’ Eyeing August Release
Netflix Geeked Week has kicked off once again with the streamer bringing some of its biggest original series to the week-long event. Perhaps the streamer’s biggest release that’s set to debut this year is the adaption of The Sandman, the critically acclaimed and beloved graphic novel by author Neil Gaiman. Geeked Week has brought with it the release date for the series, coming sooner than you think.
Netflix has revealed that the adaption will be hitting the service on August 5th, just a little under two months away. The first season is set to adapt the first chapter in the store of Morpheus, the lord of dreams, titled Preludes and Nocturnes, with Gaiman revealing we can expect a little bit more to this story as well.

The series was written by Allan Heinberg who will serve as an executive producer alongside Gaiman and David Goyer. The premiere of the series was co-written by Gaiman, Goyer, and Heinberg. Many fans were uneasy about the news of an adaption, but learning that Neil Gaiman is heavily involved in the series hopefully has eased a lot of minds.
The series will star Tom Sturridge as the titular character alongside Gwendoline Christie, Kirby-Howell Baptise, Jenna Coleman, Mason Alexander Park, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Kyo Ra, and Stephen Fry.

GEEKED WEEK: ‘One Piece’ Cast Finds its Mihawk, Kuro, Zeff and Morgan
The One Piece cast continues to grow, as they used Netflix’s Geeked Week to confirm some new additions to the cast. Not only do we finally know who is playing Mihawk, who will be played by Steven Ward but also that Craig Faribrass is playing Chef Zeff. That’s not all, as Chioma Umeala will play Nojika, Celeste Loots is Kaya, and Alexander Maniatis is Klahadore. Last, but not least, Captain Morgan will be played by Langley Kirkwood.

GEEKED WEEK: First Look at ‘One Piece’ Sets and Concept Art
Finally, we got an update and official look behind the scenes on what exactly they’ve been working on for the live-action adaptation of One Piece. During Geeked Week, they shared a very close look at the amazing massive sets, as well as the detail that went into bringing this franchise to life. Not just that, but it also includes some concept art.
Sadly, they have not revealed any details or a look at the cast in their official costumes. But, it’s quite impressive that they put in the work to bring these ships to life. Here’s hoping that they start teasing more and more as we get closer to the potential release.

GEEKED WEEK: ‘All Of Us Are Dead’ Season 2 Confirmed
Horror and zombie fans rejoice as All of Us Are Dead has been confirmed for a second season. While they didn’t give any exact details on what’s to come but it does look like the challenge of balancing love, drama and zombies will be back. The first season was a big hit and it’s great to see more international shows get season renewals.

GEEKED WEEK: ‘Locke & Key’ Final Season to Release August
Geeked Week is kicking off strong with a look at some of Netflix’s upcoming shows. We’ve long expected and hoped to see what the future has in store for fans, and it finally has offered some updates on what to expect. We’re getting a look at some projects that will take a while to release but also a hint at some that are just around the corner, such as the new season of Locke and Key.
During Geeked Week, it was revealed that Locke and Key‘s third season will release on August 10th. It’ll be interesting to see what the new season has to offer. We got our first look at the new season some time ago and it was confirmed that this will end its run. So, we’ll see how it ends in August.
