Season 4 of ‘Manifest’ Debuts to 57.1 Million Hours Viewed

Manifest debuted the first half of Season 4 on Netflix last week to impressive numbers. It was revealed today that the series easily took the No. 1 spot on last week’s Top 10 list on Netflix. The first 10 episodes of Season 4 are said to have pulled in 57.1 million hours viewed within the first three days on the service. Also impressive, the first season of Manifest also reentered the top 10 with 20.3 million hours viewed ahead of Season 4’s debut.

When Manifest was canceled by NBC last July, the series ended up being shopped around, but at the time, it seemed uncertain it would find another home. In fact, even Netflix initially passed on saving the NBC drama. But as fans continued to stream the series and the number of viewers continued to grow, the streaming giant retracted its initial decision and decided to save Manifest. It’s of note that, in the end, Netflix ended up having to beat out NBC to renew the show for a fourth season.

The fourth season of Manifest consists of 20 episodes and sees the return of its all-star cast consisting of Melissa RoxburghJosh DallasAthena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, and more. As of now, there’s no release date for the second half of Manifest Season 4.

  • RUMOR: ’Manifest’ Season 4 to Debut in November

RUMOR: ’Manifest’ Season 4 to Debut in November

Production is well underway on the fourth and final season of Manifest. The former NBC series will move to Netflix for its final outing this year. Details regarding the latest season have been sparse, however, we may now know when it will premiere. It seems that famous author Stephen King is quite the fan, as he threw out a question on when we might expect the series to make its return. Showrunner Jeff Rake obliged and shared that he’s hearing November is when Season 4 will release. However, nothing is yet set in stone.

As the showrunner is unsure about the exact release, there’s always a chance that it might shift as we near its eventual announcement but it does give us an indicator of when we might expect it to release on Netflix. The series originally premiered on NBC back in 2018, which explored the story of passengers of a commercial airliner that suddenly reappear after over five years. After its cancelation, the series grew in popularity after hitting Netflix which led to its renewal. The upcoming fourth season will consist of 20 episodes and see the return of its all-star cast consisting of Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, and more.

J.R. Ramirez Teases Start of Production on ‘Manifest’ Season 4

The hit series Manifest is back in business.

After being canceled by NBC over the Summer, Netflix gave the series a second life when it picked up the show for a fourth and final season. As we previously teased, production on the fan-favorite series kicked off today. The news was confirmed by one of the show’s leading actors, J.R. Ramirez in a post on Instagram.

When Manifest was canceled by NBC in July, the series was being shopped around, however, it seemed uncertain it would find another home. After all, Netflix initially passed on the show. However, as viewers continued to stream the series on the streaming service, the streamer retracted its initial decision. Ironically, Netflix had to beat out NBC to renew the show for Season 4.

Needless to say, it has been quite the journey for the cast and crew. Something Ramirez acknowledges. In his post, the actor talked about what it was like to return to the stages today. “Walking through the stages this am… Just felt different. I’ve been working in this business for almost two decades now and I know to land a team of Cast n Crew that is as Collaborative, Dedicated and in my opinion (Most Importantly) “Ego Checked” as these Beautifully Talented Humans are… well it RARELY happens,” he writers. “It’s only day one and you can already feel the Level of Appreciation this group has for the Magical Ride that is Manifest! But let’s keep it real… The reality is ALL of This Magic is happening because of YOU guys! You guys made this happen! We Love You. Can’t wait for you to see how it all comes together.”

A release date for Season 4 of Manifest is not yet known. However, fans can rest easy knowing Season 4 is, finally, happening.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Manifest’ Season 4 Start Date, Plus New Character Breakdown

Manifest is heading to Netflix for Season 4 after three seasons on NBC. The show that was once canceled, then nearly brought back by NBC before Netflix picked it up, has had its share of delays heading into production. Now we can exclusively reveal Season 4 is tentatively preparing to start production on November 18th.

Along with the production start date, we can also reveal Manifest is looking to cast a character named Henry Kim. The role calls for an Asian male between the ages of 50-80 years of age. The character must appear frail and thin and speak English with a noticeable accent. The casting call is specifically calling for a visually impaired actor. Henry is a character who has been through numerous trials and tribulations but remains a fighter. The role is that of a recurring character.

Like with most Netflix productions, the streaming service is enforcing mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations to ensure a safe production/set. All who submit tapes for casting calls must confirm they’ve been vaccinated, or submit proof of a disability preventing them from being vaccinated.

Production on Manifest Season 4 will kick off in New York in a couple of weeks.
