With Marvel Television intent on producing new season of Daredevil: Born Again on an annual cadence, fans will continue to run the risk of learning information about each “next” season before the “current” season completes its run. While it’s easy enough to avoid major spoilers (and as Season 2 will prove, easy enough for the studio to keep major reveals away from the public eye), it’s impossible to keep everything under wraps when much of the series is filmed on the streets of New York City. And with filming on Season 3 underway, a pair of major characters have been confirmed to return to your small screens in 2027.
Behind the scenes photos from the NYC set have revealed that both Krysten Ritter‘s Jessica Jones and Deborah Ann Woll‘s Karen Page will not only be back for Season 3 but will be sharing scenes…with no sign that Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock will be joining them.

It’s been made clear by Marvel’s streaming skipper Brad Winderbaum that fans should expect more Jessica Jones stories in the future and the photos confirm that at least some portion of those will be told in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.

Marvel confirmed that every first-printing copy of Avengers: Armageddon #1—hitting shelves on June 3, 2026—will come sealed in a special polybag containing an exclusive Magic: The Gathering promo card.
The exclusive card, titled Warstorm Surge, features stunning new artwork by Marvel superstar Ryan Stegman. The art depicts a desperate battle in the ruins of Latveria, with Wolverine, Iron Man, and Spider-Man attempting to halt a rampaging Red Hulk.

This isn’t just a physical fight; it’s a battle over who gets to decide the fate of nations. If this truly is the “Origin of the End” for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Marvel Universe is about to look very different by July.
It seems the rule of two is alive and well at Lucasfilm. In a massive show of confidence, Disney+ and Lucasfilm have officially renewed the upcoming animated series Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord for a second season—and the first episode hasn’t even hit the streamer yet.
The announcement came via a post on StarWars.com and an extensive profile in Esquire, where Lucasfilm President Dave Filoni confirmed that work is already underway on the next chapter of the Zabrak’s criminal odyssey.
Season 1 is set to debut on Monday, April 6, 2026, with a two-episode premiere. The 10-episode first season will follow Maul during the “gap years” between Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Solo, specifically focusing on his journey to becoming the Godfather of the Star Wars universe.
Filoni teased that Season 2 will continue to explore Maul’s descent into the “addiction” of the Dark Side. “In order to quash that feeling of remorse, you have to do it again. And again… and it becomes this way of being,” Filoni told Esquire.
While Season 1 introduces Gideon Adlon as Devon Izara, a disillusioned Padawan whom Maul is attempting to corrupt, the renewal suggests this relationship is the long-term engine of the series, rather than a one-and-done encounter.

If you were expecting the Super Mario Galaxy Movie to end with Mario and Fox McCloud shaking hands in a “Nintendo Avengers” initiative, Shigeru Miyamoto has some words of caution for you. In a candid series of interviews at the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto, the legendary creator clarified that while he’s expanding the world of Mario, he isn’t building a “Smash Bros.” universe in the way fans might expect.
The short answer? Don’t hold your breath for a “Nintendo Avengers” just yet.
Despite the confirmed presence of Glen Powell’s Fox McCloud and a few rogue Pikmin in the Galaxy sequel, Miyamoto was quick to clarify that these aren’t necessarily building toward a massive team-up.

But make no mistake—with Powell’s Fox McCloud confirmed and the “secret character” looming, the foundation for something larger is being built, even if Miyamoto refuses to draw the map for us just yet.

The trailer finally confirms the inciting incident of the film, pulling directly from the Tom King/Bilquis Evely source material. Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts) has poisoned Krypto with a lethal toxin, leaving Kara and the young Ruthye (Eve Ridley) with only three days to find him and the antidote.
Director Craig Gillespie is leaning heavily into the Space Western aesthetic. The vast, dusty alien landscapes and the focus on Kara’s isolation make this feel like True Grit meets John Wick…as he said.
With Supergirl hitting theaters on June 26, 2026, the marketing is successfully positioning Kara not just as a hero, but as a survivor who is finally finding something worth fighting for.
“You’re meeting a Vision who has died and come back to life, who is sort of reconnecting with his memories, and his feelings, and is going through a bit of an identity quest,” explained showrunner Terry Matalas, who took creative control of the project from Jac Schaeffer. And while there’s certainly a timer running on how long Vizh can stay on the sidelines and how long the studio can wait to reunite the Maximoff twins, it sounds as though the story told in VisionQuest–or at least some its characters–could live on beyond a first season.
When asked by The Direct if a second season of the series was a possibility or if it would be a one-off, standalone series, Matalas left the door open. “I think that’s up to the Marvel and Disney Gods. It doesn’t necessarily have to,” Matalas said. “There is a group of characters in situations that are certainly on their own island, if you will. Trying to figure out how to say this… You could very much see these characters again, if you want.“
Outside of the clever play on words about characters on their own island (most of the series is reportedly set on Madripoor), Matalas‘ words indicate that at least some of the series main characters find themselves positioned for a future in the MCU even if VisionQuest is the end of the WandaVision trilogy. Even if Matalas is being cagey, there are plenty of ways a series full of A.I. characters could live on beyond the Multiverse Saga.

According to a fresh report from industry insider DanielRPK, Yelena Belova isn’t just surviving the multiversal chaos of Avengers: Doomsday—she’s being positioned as one of the primary anchors for the grand finale, Avengers: Secret Wars.
Pugh’s Yelena is reportedly one of the modern MCU characters who will actually drive the core of the story, which is slated to begin production later this year.

If you’re looking for someone to play a cocky, elite pilot with a heart of gold, there is currently no one doing it better than Powell. After the massive success of Top Gun: Maverick and Twisters, Nintendo and Illumination have secured the exact kind of A-List energy needed to launch a potential Star Fox spinoff.
The announcement likely positions him as one of the leads in the inevitable Super Smash Bros. event film. Powell joins an already stacked roster including Chris Pratt (Mario), Brie Larson (Rosalina), Issa Rae (Honey Queen), and Donald Glover (Yoshi).
With the film dropping on April 1, 2026, the reveal of Powell as Fox is the final “pre-launch” marketing hammer Sony and Nintendo needed to ensure a $200M+ opening weekend.
We’ve seen the reports that the Avengers: Doomsday script was being tweaked during production, and it looks like those rewrites have officially triggered a round of additional photography. But don’t panic—this isn’t a The Marvels level overhaul.
Avengers: Doomsday is heading back to London soon for additional photography and according to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the goal is to provide “narrative clarity” and “emotional beats” to the project. Sounds like after having spent some time in post-production, the Russos realize that with an ensemble this massive, the audience needs more time to actually care about the new team dynamics before Doom starts tearing them apart.
Richtman’s report stated that the big set pieces are reportedly locked and that cameras will be capturing “character-driven material” when they roll in the coming weeks. These moments have always been a strength of Anthony and Joe Russo, who have struck gold with unexpected character pairings and groupings in the past such as Thor, Groot and Rocket or Nebula and Tony Stark.
If they’re going back to set to make sure the “heart” of the movie is beating, that’s a win for the fans.

While responding to a fan’s statement that a matchup between Kingpin and Spidey was needed “ASAP”, D’Onofrio stated in order for it to happen, Sony and Marvel would need to “get their shit together” over what he called a “complicated rights issue.”

While Kingpin debuted in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man #50, he has since become a primary Daredevil antagonist. D’Onofrio explained that because the character is technically “shared” between Marvel (Disney) and Sony, placing him in a Sony-produced Spider-Man film requires a level of legal acrobatics that hasn’t happened yet. In the past, D’Onofrio has noted that his current contract is firmly rooted in the Marvel Television side of things, so similarly to how Spider-Man won’t appear in a live-action Marvel Television series, Kingpin won’t appear in a live-action Marvel Studios film until a new deal is arranged.
