Production just wrapped on the second season of Prime Video’s hit video game adaptation, Fallout, but the show’s future has already been decided. It was announced on Monday evening that Prime Video has given a third season order to the hit series. Along with the show’s renewal, Prime Video has confirmed the second season will premiere this December.
Season 2 of Fallout is set to pick up shortly after the events of Season 1. Per Prime Video, the new season will take audiences along for a “journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.” The series proved to be a huge hit for the streaming service when it debuted and has, to date, has amassed over 100 million viewers for its first season. In a press release, Vernon Sanders, the global head of television for Amazon MGM Studios, expressed the streaming service’s excitement about returning to the hit series for yet another season.
We are absolutely thrilled that our global Prime Video customers will be able to delve deeper into the wonderfully surreal and captivating world of ‘Fallout.’ Jonah, Lisa, Geneva, and Graham have done an exceptional job bringing this beloved video game franchise to vivid life on Prime Video. Together with our amazing partners at Bethesda Games and Bethesda Softworks, we are delighted to announce a third season of ‘Fallout,’ well ahead of the much-anticipated debut of Season Two.
Prime Video’s Fallout adaptation stars Ella Purnell, Kyle Maclachlan, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins. The first season is available to stream now exclusively on Prime Video, while the second season will debut sometime in December.
