Production on Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again is well underway in New York and it’s becoming increasingly clear that the new batch of episodes will be taking a different direction than the first 17.
On the heels of a leaked photo of Matt Murdock wearing prison orange and set photos of a grizzled-looking Wilson Fisk, a new series of photos from the set of Season 3 have revealed a new threat to the citizens of New York…and it’s a familiar face behind a familiar mask.
Whole it’s been heavily telegraphed in Season 2, the new photos confirm that Margarita Levieva‘s Heather Glenn will become the second Muse.

In 2025, Marvel introduced the second Muse, Morgan Whittier, in 2025. Influenced by the ghost of the original masked killer.
With Season 3 already confirmed to see the return of Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist, at least there will be some heroes, perhaps for hire, ready to step in and take on the new Muse.
Though Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again has a pair of episodes to go before concluding its run, photos from the set of Season 3 and the Spider-Man: Brand New Day teaser have confirmed that Wilson Fisk will be Mayor no more. Now, new photos from the New York City set have provided the first look at Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and his shocking new look.
While it’s likely from the first episode of the new season, it looks that Fisk, like his counterpart Matt Murdock, will be sporting a full beard in Season 3.
Between the beard and the costume, it’s a wildly different look for the typically buttoned-down Kingpin of Crime. However, outside of the shaved head, it is the same look D’Onofrio has been sporting for quite some time, including his appearance on the Daredevil podcast.
It remains to be seen what exactly befalls Fisk in the Season 2 finale but between losing the love of his life and his public office, it’s clear that the villain will have to rise from the ashes if he hopes to build his global empire.
The Out the Kitchen production cycle is living up to its name, and things are getting hot. According to an exclusive report from ComicBookMovie, the currently filming Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is doubling down on its Netflix roots with a sequence that sounds like a love letter to the original series’ gritty stunt choreography.
According to CBM, Cox recently filmed a scene in which he took on members of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force in a prison fight that may well have been inspired by Season 2 of the original Daredevil.

The Irish mob was featured heavily in the season before being systemically offed by Frank Castle because of their involvement in the death of his family.
While it’s not confirmed, a rebirth of the Kitchen Irish would almost certainly coincidence with a vacuum of power, leaving fans to wonder what might happen to Wilson Fisk.

Disney just dropped a bombshell at CinemaCon 2026 that is set to change how we watch blockbusters. Move over IMAX and Dolby—there’s a new gold standard in town. Disney has officially launched Infinity Vision, a premier theatrical certification designed to help audiences identify the absolute “biggest, brightest, and most immersive” screens on the planet.
Infinity Vision isn’t its own proprietary screen like IMAX; rather, it’s a certification for existing Premium Large Format (PLF) auditoriums that meet Disney’s rigorous “Director’s Intent” standards. To earn the badge, a theater must feature:
Max-Scale Screens: Only the largest domestic and global screens need apply.
Laser Precision: Mandatory laser projection to ensure superior brightness and 4K clarity.
Immersive Sound: Advanced premium audio formats (like Dolby Atmos) configured for maximum spatial immersion.
The first Infinity Vision-certified screenings will begin on September 25, 2026, with a massive theatrical re-release of Avengers: Endgame. It’s a tactical move to reclaim the #1 all-time box office spot from Avatar while letting fans test-drive the new format. The re-release will also feature new footage intended to bridge the film to Avengers: Doomsday.
The certification is primarily built for the December 18, 2026 release of Avengers: Doomsday. By seeking out Infinity Vision screens, fans can guarantee they are seeing the Russo Brothers’ vision on a scale that surpasses standard theatrical chains.
Wilson Fisk might be the undisputed Kingpin of New York, but when it comes to the big screen, he’s currently caught in a web of Marvel red tape. In a new profile with GQ, Vincent D’Onofrio finally pulled back the curtain on the creative silos of the MCU, explaining why we haven’t seen the Mayor of NYC trading blows with Spider-Man or the Avengers in a movie theater yet.
According to D’Onofrio, the reason isn’t a lack of interest—it’s a matter of theatrical logistics.
“Right now, they don’t have the rights,” D’Onofrio explained, before expanding on previous comments about the complicated rights situation. “They have a bit more rights than they did a couple of years ago, but it’s tough right now. They have the rights to a lot of characters from the Spider-Man series, but they don’t have mine, not completely. So I think that’s holding them back a bit. But I hope to be able to do it, we’ll see.”
I hope Kingpin is in the movies someday. We’ll see, I don’t know. Maybe it will be me, maybe it won’t.

Of course, by co-starring in Daredevil: Born Again, D’Onofrio has been able to provide significant input into how Fisk is portrayed on screen and devote more screentime to the character than even a trilogy of films would provide. And so while D’Onofrio—and everyone else–wants to see Fisk take on Spider-Man, it’s not in the cards…yet.

Despite concerns that the film was simply going to be nothing more than fan service, it sounds as though Joe and Anthony Russo have successfully translated the high-stakes tension of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame to the Multiverse Saga. If the movie is already being hailed as a masterpiece before the character-focused polish of the reshoots, we might be looking at a generational event. Either way, it’s shire to break the box office if hype is this high this early.
Reports have indicated reshoots in London are specifically targeting “character-driven material.” If the action and the Doctor Doom introduction are already landing this well, adding more emotional depth is just the icing on the cake.
THR reports that the film is already “exploding” on tracking, eight months out. With Disney set to hold it’s CinemaCon panel on Thursday, sounds as though it’s an opportune time for Marvel to demonstrate that they still own the cultural conversation.

I have some pitches and ideas, but none of them center on Deadpool. Centering Deadpool works best if you take everything away from him and put his back against the wall. I can’t really do that again. A fourth time feels a little iterative and redundant. That doesn’t mean sacrificing fun. There is still an arc for Deadpool which is fulfilling and powerful. He is a great supporting or ensemble player. And I would always want Deadpool and Wolverine to be paired in some way.

While no casting has been made official, Marvel’s Big Cheese, Kevin Feige, is reportedly looking for next-gen talent to anchor the franchise for the next decade and A’Zion and Claffey certainly fit the bill.

Currently the star of HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Claffey represents a shift toward casting actors who naturally possess the tank proportions required for the role, moving away from purely CG-reliant versions of the character.
The Beef team isn’t just bringing the drama to the X-Mansion; they’re bringing a specific, fan-favorite era of the comics with them. As part of his Collider sit-down, director Jake Schreier has finally revealed the North Star for the MCU’s X-Men reboot: The 1980s Chris Claremont Uncanny era.
Famous for turning the X-Men into a serialized drama where the characters’ interpersonal lives were just as high-stakes as their battles with Sentinels, the Claremont era not only saved the book but also elevated it. Whether through the creation of hundreds of characters–dozens of which have stood the rest of time–or simply enriching the fan favorites who already existed, Claremont cemented Marvel’s mutants and heroes as a brand that resonated with fans then and still does so today.
In talking to Collider, Schreier explained that he’s been searching the source material for a way to tell a story that feels “new” and sets itself apart from Fox’s “incredible cinematic tradition.” And it seems that, at least in part, Claremont’s seminal run provides that opportunity.
I also think just having the time to kind of sit back, and I’ve just been digging into so many of the old comics and the entire Claremont run, and just going through stuff and really trying to think about what can we do well that feels new and feels different, and that hasn’t been done well before? Obviously, there’s such an incredible cinematic tradition of these comics, but what can we do? And how can we put our own spin on what that is?

Claremont spent 16 years building the X-Men into a global phenomenon by focusing on their humanity. By choosing this as the blueprint, Schreier is signaling that the MCU mutants won’t just be another hero team. They will be a complex, diverse family dealing with societal prejudice and internal heartbreak—the exact kind of storytelling that made the Infinity Saga so resonant.
Using the Uncanny run as inspiration allows the studio to focus on some heroes who were never really given a fair shot in Fox’s Wolverine and Friends films; it also provides the opportunity to select wildly different villains instead of another round of Magneto. While Mister Sinister and Apocalypse have been rumored to play major roles in the MCU Mutant Saga, other villains such as the Brood, Mojo, Nimrod, the Phalanx or the Reavers could also be lifted from the pages of Claremont’s work. There’s also plenty of room for Alpha Flight, the Braddock family, the Shi’ar and the Starjammers to be weaved into the narrative tapestry being spun by Schreier and the Beef-ed up writing team.
While Jonathan Hickman‘s recent run thrilled longtime fans of the comics, Claremont’s run is THE standard and if the creatives behind Marvel Studios X-Men choose wisely, MCU fans could find themselves back on top.
