  • ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Plot Leak Reveals God Emperor Doom’s Multiversal Resistance Front

If you thought navigating a fractured timeline was complicated, the finale of the Multiverse Saga is looking to completely shatter the board. According to a rumored script leak for Avengers: Secret Wars, the group of Multiversal heroes who will rise up to for a resistance against God Emperor Doom may have been revealed.

The leak outlines a desperate, multi-generational underground rebellion that forms once the survivors realize a terrifying cosmic truth: Robert Downey Jr.’s God Emperor Doom isn’t just an authoritarian ruler—he is the physical engine maintaining reality itself.

According to the leak, Battleworld—the patchwork planet cobbled together from the fragments of destroyed realities—only exists because Doom is actively keeping it from collapsing into the void. Doom has effectively usurped and siphoned the timeline-weaving abilities of Tom Hiddleston’s God of Stories, utilizing Loki’s cosmic power as the raw fuel to sustain his patchwork empire.

While Doom successfully rewrote the memories of almost every civilian stuck on Battleworld to make them believe he has always been their creator, a collective of multiversal heavy-hitters somehow managed to retain their memories of the old world. The leaked roster features an blend of legacy icons, current MCU anchors, and newly introduced mutants:

    • The Web-Slingers: All three live-action Spider-Men (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland).
    • The Fox Legacy: Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
    • The New Blood: Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey, set to debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
    • Alliance of Heroes: Reed Richards, Namor, Vision, She-Hulk, Deadpool, and the Young Avengers roster.
    • The Heavy-Hitter: The Sentry, who is reportedly captured and kept under absolute lock and key by Doom as a highly volatile tactical asset.

By anchoring the emotional core of Secret Wars around the survival of characters who explicitly remember what was lost—particularly Tobey, Hugh, and the newly integrated Sadie Sink—the Russo Brothers are weaponizing 25 years of cinematic history to create the single highest-stakes rebellion in film history.

  • Alleged ‘Secret Wars’ Plot Leak Could Pave the Way for One Marvel Character’s Long-Awaited Debut

Alleged ‘Secret Wars’ Plot Leak Could Pave the Way for One Marvel Character’s Long-Awaited Debut

An alleged plot leak from an early draft of Avengers: Secret Wars has found its way online and while it’s certainly hard to take too seriously since the film hasn’t even begun principal photography yet, it does have it’s believable bits, including a very worthy batch of enforcers working for Doom.

According to the leak, Doom will command an army of Thors in the film, which will be set on Battleworld. Though the leak doesn’t specifically refer to it as such, the army of Thors would likely be the Thor Corps which could (and certainly should) feature a character comic book fans have been waiting on to arrive in tht MCU for over a decade: Beta Ray Bill.

Last rumored to be making his debut in Thor: Love and Thunder, the Korbinite warrior was one of the founding members of the original Thor Corps in the comics. In Jonathan Hickman‘s 2015 Secret Wars–which seems to be providing a heavy dose of inspiration for the film–the Thor Corps featured Bill, a Storm variant and Throg among other Thors from across the Multiverse.

While the leak is far from concrete, Doom using Thors as his enforcers seems like an absolute slam dunk to transfer from page to screen. Marvel can’t afford to hold much back in the Multiverse Saga finale and introducing a character like Beta Ray Bill, who is one of the House of Ideas greatest Cosmic heroes, can only help set the stage for whatever comes next.

  • Joe Russo Updates the Production Status of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ & Multiverse Saga Finale, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

Joe Russo Updates the Production Status of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ & Multiverse Saga Finale, ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

While fans found themselves frustrated that the Russo Brothers promised surprise was simply an appearance at an Easter egg-heavy Dom Latveria coffee shop, Joe Russo did provide an update on the progress of both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

While talking to the crowd at SXSW London, Russo explained that work was still being done on Avengers: Doomsday–and would be for some time yet–and that as has been widely reported, principal photography on Avengers: Secret Wars has not yet begun.

We are doing some work still on Doomsday and we’ll be until, probably, they rip it out of our hands in November … We’re in the middle of what we would call pre-production on Secret Wars.

    -Joe Russo

While fans continue to speculate that Avengers: Secret Wars will be moved from its December 2027 release date, Russo’s demeanor while talking about the project gives off far different vibes. Should cameras roll in August, which is believed to be the case, the Russos will have 16 months to work on the film before its slated debut, with them being able to spend the vast majority of that time giving the project their undivided attention. Unless there are major problems with the creative process, 16 months is more than enough time for a film, even one on the scale of Avengers: Secret Wars to make it to theaters on time.

  • Mahershala Ali’s Blade Reportedly Slated for a Pair of Upcoming Marvel Studios Projects

Mahershala Ali’s Blade Reportedly Slated for a Pair of Upcoming Marvel Studios Projects

The Daywalker is skipping the line straight to the end of the world.

According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel Studios has pinned down exactly when and where we will next see the Daywalker. The report claims that despite the solo film’s notoriously fluid production history, Marvel Studios is planning to bypass the solo film bottleneck by officially debuting Mahershala Ali’s Blade in the grand multiversal finale, Avengers: Secret Wars ahead of a major role in Midnight Sons.

It has been an agonizing seven years since Kevin Feige introduced Mahershala Ali at SDCC 2019, and five years since his disembodied voice warned Dane Whitman about the Ebony Blade in Eternals. While fans have worried that the endless revolving door of directors and script drafts meant the project was dead in the water, it seems as though Marvel and Ali have come to terms on a path forward for the character.

This is the most pragmatic move Kevin Feige could make. Moving ahead with a half-assed Blade solo film just to check a box has proven to be a creative minefield. By introducing him, and Ghost Rider–potentially played by Ryan Gosling— as high-stakes, multiversal heavy-hitters in Secret Wars, Marvel will satisfy the fans, honor Ali’s immense patience, and cleanly establish the supernatural infrastructure needed to launch the Midnight Sons in Phase 7.

  • ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Production Schedule Sparks Delay Rumors

‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Production Schedule Sparks Delay Rumors

Fans are beginning to worry that te road to the end of the Multiverse just got a little longer. Though the information had been known and available for quite some time, confirmation from a member of the cast about thefilming schedule for Avengers: Secret Wars has sparked widespread industry speculation that the massive crossover event may miss its current December 2027 release date.

In an interview with Dog Day Afternoon, Fantastic Four star Ebon Moss-Bachrach confirmed that he’ll be able to do a play until mid-June because Avengers: Secret Wars won’t begin production until August.

While Marvel Studios has yet to officially move the needle, the logistical realities of filming back-to-back Avengers epics are beginning to settle in, and fans believe there might be a push to May 2028 which is coincidentally the 20th anniversary of the MCU.

Avengers: Secret Wars is the reset button for the entire MCU. If the Russos and Kevin Feige feel they need more time to get the ending of a 20-year narrative right, they will take it. After the fluid script updates reported by Joseph Quinn and the secret names mentioned by Alan Cumming, it’s clear the scope of these films has ballooned beyond Marvel’s initial 2022 projections.

  • SDCC ’26: Marvel Studios to Assemble the Avengers in Hall H This July

SDCC ’26: Marvel Studios to Assemble the Avengers in Hall H This July

According to a report from The Wrap, Marvel Studios has officially locked in its return to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

After a calculated absence from the major presentation circuit during the height of the 2025 production shifts, Kevin Feige is heading back to the convention floor with one primary mission: the global unveiling of Avengers: Doomsday.

While a teaser trailer for the December 18th release is rumored to be coming “soon”, it seems highly likely that the cast of the film will be on the big stage in Hall H to roll out a trailer and launch the tidal wave of hype for the first Avengers film since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

In addition to a big Doomsday blowout, it’s possible the studio will confirm some of the cast for Avengers: Secret Wars, though they’ll have to pick and choose–as they did with the Doomsday cast reveal–to avoid spoilers. However, with filming on Secret Wars expected to kick off in June, it’s possible fans may already be privy to the identity of many of the cast members, even if the studio isn’t ready to announce them.

  • New Rumor Claims ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Will Feature the Return of a Key Infinity Saga Player

New Rumor Claims ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Will Feature the Return of a Key Infinity Saga Player

The Legendary Star-Lord promised at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is finally coming back from his lawn-mowing hiatus on Earth. According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Peter Quill in Avengers: Secret Wars.

While fans have been wondering where the space-cowboy-turned-suburbanite has been, it looks like the Multiversal collapse is finally going to force him to trade his Walkman for a blaster once again.

Leaked concept art (which the Russo Brothers previously played coy about) allegedly depicts Quill alongside the Young Avengers and the White Vision. Fans have theorized that those images suggest Star-Lord might take on a mentor-like role for the younger generation of heroes, including Kate Bishop, Ms. Marvel, and Wiccan, potentially leading them as a reluctant veteran while Earth deals with the Incursions.

With Secret Wars serving as a potential soft reboot for the entire MCU, this could be the final ride”l for the Peter Quill we know, or the beginning of a whole new era for the character on the New Earth.

  • New Rumor May Indicate Marvel Studios Is Setting Up an ‘All-New X-Men’ Adaptation

New Rumor May Indicate Marvel Studios Is Setting Up an ‘All-New X-Men’ Adaptation

The rumor mill for Spider-Man: Brand New Day is officially moving at light speed, and at the center of the storm is Sadie Sink. While mounting evidence suggests that she’s playing the MCU’s definitive Jean Grey, a new tidbit from the reliable scooper Cryptic4KQual has just added a massive, reality-bending layer to her debut.

According to Cryptic, Sink’s Jean isn’t just a local mutant from Westchester—she was described to him as being “time-displaced.” If that phrase sounds familiar, it’s because it was the literal backbone of one of the most polarizing and fascinating eras in modern X-Men history.

In 2012, writer Brian Michael Bendis launched All-New X-Men, a series that saw the original five teenage X-Men (Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Iceman, and Angel) travel from the past to the present day. This teen Jean had to grapple with a world where her older self was dead, her mentor was a failure, and her future was a tragedy.

By using the “time-displaced” description, Marvel Studios might be signaling a move away from the traditional born in the 616 origin. Instead of explaining where mutants have been for 20 years, Marvel could simply pluck them from the past–or another timeline–and drop them into the modern MCU. Even if it’s controversial, it’s potentially brilliant.

Given the knowledge that Brand New Day deals–at least in part–with the fallout of Peter’s memory wipe, if Jean arrives as a stranger in a strange land, she and Peter–the ultimate lonely hero–share a thematic link that makes their rumored partnership much more poignant. Additionally, a time-displaced Jean allows Marvel to explore the character’s raw, untapped power and her psionic form–which Cryptic notes will look like X-Men ’97–without immediately jumping to the cosmic firebird.

The time-displaced angle–especially in one of the final films in the Multiverse Saga–helps avoid forcing Marvel to address why the X-Men haven’t intervened on Earth-616 before. It also opens the door to the other members of the original five X-Men appearing in either a post-credit even to Brand New Day or in Avengers: Secret Wars.

  • New Report Reveals Major Plans for One Character in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

New Report Reveals Major Plans for One Character in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’

If you thought Florence Pugh was just a passing torch-bearer for the Black Widow mantle, think again. According to a fresh report from industry insider DanielRPK, Yelena Belova isn’t just surviving the multiversal chaos of Avengers: Doomsday—she’s being positioned as one of the primary anchors for the grand finale, Avengers: Secret Wars.

Pugh’s Yelena is reportedly one of the modern MCU characters who will actually drive the core of the story, which is slated to begin production later this year.

After beginning the film in the dumps, Yelena ended Thunderbolts* not as a reluctant assassin, but as the de facto leader of a new, albeit dysfunctional, team of Avengers. RPK’s report suggests that her leadership role will somehow extend into the Secret Wars.

Interestingly, DanielRPK also noted that Pugh and David Harbour (Red Guardian) are currently scheduled for additional photography during the Avengers: Doomsday reshoot window. The insider recently shared the word that the reshoots were largely planned to be “character-dricen” scenes, intended to add emotional beats and narrative clarity to the film.

In a post-Iron Man MCU, the franchise has struggled to find a human center. Pugh’s performance has been a consistent bright spot, blending high-stakes trauma with the kind of dry wit that fans used to associate with Tony Stark. By making her a major player in Secret Wars, Marvel is betting on her star power to help carry the franchise into whatever comes after the soft reboot.

  • Mask On? John Campea Claims RDJ’s Face Won’t Be Seen in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Mask On? John Campea Claims RDJ’s Face Won’t Be Seen in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

The discourse around Robert Downey Jr.’s Doom just took another turn. Recently, the consensus among the scooper community has been that while Victor Von Doom would keep his mask on when in front of the 616 heroes, the audience would get that meta moment of seeing RDJ’s face—likely to hammer home the tragedy of a man who looks exactly like the hero we lost in Avengers: Endgame.

However, John Campea is now throwing a monkey into that wrench. On a recent episode of his show, Campea stated that he has confirmed Marvel is keeping the mask firmly in place for the duration of Avengers::Doomsday, saving the face reveal  for the grand finale in 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars.

One of the rumors about Doomsday that we did confirm for people is that they do not reveal Robert Downey Jr.’s face as Doctor Doom… they don’t reveal Tony Stark’s face or Robert Downey Jr.’s face in Doomsday, and that the repercussions of that and the reasons for that and all that kind of stuff is something they’re saving for Secret Wars.

    -John Campea

To mask or not to mask, that is the question but it’s hardly a new debate. But with Robert Downey Jr. in the role, it seems hard to believe that Marvel invested that kind of money just for a voice-over performance and a stunt double in a green cape.

If Campea is right, Marvel is making a bold, narrative-driven choice. By withholding the face, they’re forcing the audience to treat Victor as a separate entity from Tony Stark. It builds tension so  when that mask finally comes off in Secret Wars, it’s a tactical emotional nuke designed to break the heroes, perhaps mirroring the division in Captain America: Civil War.

This contradicts several other reports that suggested the audience see a scarred version of the 616-Stark-lookalike early on. If Campea’s info holds water, it means the brothers Russos are leaning into the horror of Doom, which does match up with  Film Threat’s Chris Gore’s claim that Doom’s face will be disfigured and, in his opinion, looks to be inspired by the look of creatures from “classic Universal Monster movies.

If they’re saving the face for Avengers: Secret Wars, they’re betting everything on a singular moment of shock to carry the entire Multiverse Saga finale.
