Natasha Liu Bordizzo is set to take on the role of Sabine Wren in live-action. The upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka will see her take on the role of a character first introduced in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. The Mandalorian had a big role in the animated spinoff series and while her exact role still remains uncertain in the upcoming series, it does seem like she’s prepared for the role by watching Rebels as revealed in a new piece with The Hollywood Reporter while promoting the Netflix film Day Shift.

It’s almost like a memory book; that’s what I feel Rebels is for me. It’s just this kind of free prep I never had to do as an actor because it’s all been done for me.

Tiya Sircar, well-known for her time on The Good Place, voiced the character in REbels and it’ll be interesting to see if she also carries over some of her performance to bring the character into live-action. As a fellow Mandalorian, it’ll be interesting if she might have an early appearance in the upcoming third season of the Disney+ series that started it all.

She seems like the perfect fit as a surprise guess that’ll also lead to her larger role in the Ahsoka spinoff. Perhaps the season might even connect to the series and set up the tale of Ahsoka’s journey of finding Ezra Bridger, as one of the catalysts could be Admiral Thrawn.
