DC FANDOME: New Behind-The-Scenes Video Teases ‘Gotham Knight’s Court of Owls

It’s been a long wait since we got our first look at Gotham Knights. WB Montréal will continue the Arkham franchise through a spinoff that explores a new kind of Gotham. Bruce Wayne is dead and the Court of Owls is starting their reign over the city he once protected. Of course, Gotham isn’t left without any protection, as Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Robin will face off against the new threat. After a delay due to the pandemic, 2021’s DC FanDome gave us a new trailer and a look behind-the-scenes on their take of the Court of Owls.

Rocksteady’s upcoming Suicide Squad game will continue the storyline set up within the Arkham games while embracing a new direction for the game. It will combine the elements familiar to players from the iconic Batman gaming franchise, but takes more of a brawler direction. The first trailer gave us our first glimpse of the Bat-family working together and it looks like a promising addition to DC’s gaming line-up. Sadly, we still don’t have a release date for both, but they are continuing to eye 2022.

  • DC FANDOME: First ‘Blue Beetle’ Artwork Teases Reyes’ Costume and Kord Industries

DC FANDOME: First ‘Blue Beetle’ Artwork Teases Reyes’ Costume and Kord Industries

Some time ago, we learned that Blue Beetle will be heading to HBO Max, as we explore the story of an unlikely hero, Jaime Reyes. He’ll don the suit that has alien origins that will change his life in many new ways. The future Reyes’ Xolo Maridueña appeared alongside the film’s creative team to share a first look at the characters’ design and talks bout his comic past. While we didn’t get our first look at his live-action design, we did get some artwork. Now what stands out is that Kord Industries is quite prominent in the background, which teases the original Blue Beetle potentially having a role in the project.

  • DC FANDOME: ‘Doom Patrol’ Scores Season 4 Renewal

DC FANDOME: ‘Doom Patrol’ Scores Season 4 Renewal

The third season of Doom Patrol is currently airing on HBO Max as the team reels with the death of the chief and the arrival of the mysterious Madame Rouge. It’s been yet another wild season with the introduction of the Sisterhood of Dada bringing a whole new meaning too weird, but Doom Patrol always finds fun and creative way to pull it off.

It should be to no surprise that the show scored another season as it’s been quite popular with both fans and critics, ranking high as one of HBO Max’s most popular originals. While we didn’t get too much information as to what’s in store for the next season, it’s good to see the outlandish and unorthodox comic book property rage on into its fourth season.

  • DC FANDOME: ‘Peacemaker’ Described as a Superhero Version of ‘The Office’

DC FANDOME: ‘Peacemaker’ Described as a Superhero Version of ‘The Office’

Hot off the heels of The Suicide Squad, James Gunn has wasted no time getting back into the DCEU. Both Gunn and John Cena are set to return for Peacemaker, the DCEU spin-off series exclusively for HBO Max. The cast appeared in this year’s DC Fandome where they gave insight as to what to expect from the show.

One of the things the cast talked about was the show’s comedic tone which they described as a superhero version of The Office. While not a mockumentary, Peacemaker’s ensemble and their dynamic resembles that of a workplace comedy. The trailer they just dropped certainly showcases some of that workplace dynamic.

They also revealed that 5 out of the 8 episodes were directed by James Gunn. No word was given on who else was helming the season.
