Principal photography is ongoing on Marvel Television’s The Punisher Special Presentation and fans have continued to locate the New York City sets. Recently, a showdown between Jon Bernthal‘s Frank Castle and the project’s antagonist, believed to be crime boss Ma Gnucci, made its way online, confirming some of the earliest rumors about the project. Now, a new video has surfaced, showing Frank in the middle of a New York City street that has gone to hell.
Frank has been through it at this point and, apparently, so has the Big Apple. As Castle quickly dispatches a pair of goobers, it can be seen that the Richmond Hills neighborhood of Queens appears to be experiencing a bit of a riot. Whether that’s related to Frank’s actions oor not remains to be seen but it doesn’t seem to be his top priority as he seems to be trying to make his way through it.
Marvel has still revealed very little about the project, co-written by Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green, so it’s not currently clear if it’s set between seasons of Daredevil: Born Again or after, which would then mean it would likely lead directly to the character’s appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Whatever the case, it certainly seems as though fans are in for a brutal experience when The Punisher Special Presentation hits D+ in 2026.
