    New BTS Videos Show Jon Bernthal Back in Costume and in Action on the Set of ‘The Punisher’ Special Presentation

    As has been the case with both seasons of Daredevil: Born Again, The Punisher: Special Presentation is filming out in the open in the streets of New York City. As such, it is to be expected that plenty of plset photos, snapped by paps and the public alike, will make their way online and so far, that’s exactly how it’s played out.

    The Special Presentation, co-written by star Jon Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green, began principal photography earlier this week and it didn’t take long for images of a hard-boiled looking Frank Castle to make the rounds. While Castle was laying low on those photos, a trip of new videos show the former Marine back in action…and suited up in his iconic vest.

    The action looks to be taking place in and around Gnucci’s Family Restaurant, owner by the rumored villain of the feature, Ma Gnucci. Though she’s yet to appear, Frank wiped out several members of the Gnucci Crime Family, including her son Tony, in Episode 1.01 of Netflix’s The Punisher. It’s likely that Ma would be out for vengeance and equally likely that Frank would be up for finishing the job.

    The Punisher Special Presentation will debut on Disney Plus in 2026.

    Welcome Back, Frank! Photos Reveal Jon Bernthal’s Hard-Boiled Frank Castle on Set of ‘The Punisher’ Special Presentation

    In the finale of Daredevil: Born Again, after taking a beating at the hands of the Anti-Vigilante Task Force, Frank Castle is imprisoned in Wilson Fisk’s facility at the Red Hook free port, alongside other enemies of Fisk, including Tony Dalton‘s Jack Duquesne, aka The Swordsman. In a relatively ridiculous post-credits scene, Frank talks to a guard named Anthony Petruccio, who idolizes the Punisher. Frank uses his charisma to convince the guard to shake his hand. When the guard extends his arm through a small opening in the cage, Frank breaks his arm, snags his keys and makes his escape, setting the stage for Marvel Television’s 2026 The Punisher Special Presentation.

    With principal photography on the Special Presentation, co-written by star Jon Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green, now underway in New York, set photos have begun to circulate online. Earlier today, photos of an NYC storefront being remade into Gnucci’s Restaurant seemingly confirmed that mob boss Ma Gnucci will serve as the main antagonist of the project, backing Marvel insider Daniel Richtman’s claim about the feature’s big bad. Now, a new series of photos has provided a first look at Bernthal‘s Castle, who is once again sporting the “no, I’m not The Punisher” beard.

    To check out the entire series of set photos, you’ll have to head over to Just Jared but from the looks of it, The Punisher Special Presentation is likely to begin with Frank on the down low, looking to avoid the kind of attention walking around with a giant skull painted on his chest might bring.

    Marvel Studios has had very little to say about the new project, which is set to film for just a few weeks in New York. With that in mind, it’s unclear exactly what the timeline for it is, making it possible it takes place right after Frank escapes from Fisk’s dungeon or following the conclusion of Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, making it a bridge to Bernthal’s next MCU appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Either way, with the Special Presentation possibly adapting Garth Ennis‘ BRUTAL 12-issue “Welcome Back, Frank” arc, fans are likely in for some more of that dark, gritty and violent fare straight from the old Netflix days.

    ‘Punisher’ Set Leak Seems to Confirm the Villain of the Upcoming Marvel Television Special Presentation

    Set to stream on D+ in 2026, The Punisher Special Presentation, co-written by star Jon Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green, has begun filming in New York City. While no details have been officially revealed nor any cat members outside of Bernthal, a report earlier this year from Marvel insider Daniel Richtman revealed the likely villain of the project. Now, leaked photos from the set seem to confirm that report.

    It’s like a shotgun blast of a story, but also has all the pathos and emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story.

    Among photos of storefronts being constructed for the Marvel Television Special Presentation, Gnucci’s Restaurant can be seen, likely confirming that Isabella “Ma” Gnucci will indeed be the main antagonist of The Punisher.

    The head of the Gnucci Crime Family, Ma Gnucci tried to take Frank Castle out in Volume 5 of The Punisher, written by Garth Ennis. The 12-issue arc, known as “Welcome Back, Frank”, launched Ennis’ 49-issue run with the character and has long been hailed as a classic Punisher tale. Harboiled and gruesome, “Welcome Back, Frank” took the character back to his roots and allowed him to do what he does best: kill bad guys with extreme prejudice…and a flamethrower. In terms of MCU Punisher continuity, Ma Gnucci makes quite a bit of sense as an antagonist for the project given that Frank wiped out several members of the Gnucci Crime Family, including her son Tony, in Episode 1.01 of The Punisher, “3 AM.“

    After escaping Wilson Fisk’s dungeon prison in Season 1 of Daredevil: Born Again, it looks as though Bernthal’s Castle will find himself in the sights of a second mob boss in The Punisher Special Presentation. With Vincent D’Onofrio just recently completing production on Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Mayor Fisk may also have a small role in the project, perhaps even alerting the Gnuccis to Frank’s presence on the NYC streets.

    New Report Could Tease the Return of an MCU Supervillain in Marvel’s ‘Vision’ Series

    A fan recently took to social media to share his unscheduled tour of what he claimed was the set of Avengers: Doomsday, revealing a set that indicated a trip to Madripoor was in the cards. Now, a new report from a reliable source has reframed that sneaky set visit.

    According to insider Daniel Richtman, the set in question was not for Avengers: Doomsday but rather for Marvel Television’s Vision series. And from the sound of it, Madripoor may well be one of the project’s central locations.

    It’s an island nation in the Indonesian archipelago. It was a pirate sanctuary back in the 1800s. It’s kept its lawless ways

    First seen in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Madripoor is a lawless archipelago in Southeast Asia ruled by The Power Broker. In one of that series’ biggest twists, The Power Broker was revealed to be Sharon Carter, who fled to the island nation after stealing Steve Rogers’ shield and Sam Wilson’s EXO-7 Falcon wings from the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre. Despite being pardoned and rejoining the CIA, Carter continued to work as The Power Broker. Though Emily VanCamp has not been reported to be part of the cast of Vision, it seems possible she might have a role in the project, perhaps as the one who puts Todd Stashwick‘s Paladin on the trail of Vision’s tech.

    The revelation that the Madripoor sets were built for Vision may also change the way one of the locations spotted in the set your is interpreted. A sign for “The Webslingers Inn” was seen in the brief video, causing fans to speculate that multiple Spideys were set to return in Avengers: Doomsday. With the knowledge that the sign is for a location in the Vision series, perhaps it’s more likely to some sort of cybercafe that provides Paul Bettany‘s synthezoid the opportunity to connect with the multiple other AI characters who appear in the series.

    Todd Stashwick’s Mystery ‘Vision’ Assassin Reportedly Revealed

    Marvel Television’s Vision series has been making quite a bit of news lately with reports of multiple stars joining the cast as embodied artificial intelligences, leaving fans wondering just what might be going on in the Terry Matalas‘-created project. However, as the recent casting confirmations continued to come, the role of one actor who joined the cast early on remained a mystery…until now.

    According to Marvel Studios insider Daniel Richtman, Todd Stashwick, who was cast in September 2024 as an “assassin who is on the trail of android and the technology” inside Vision, will be playing the Marvel Comics mercenary Paladin.

    Created by Jim Shooter as a private investigator and mercenary for hire, Paladin hasn’t been a major player in the Marvel Universe but did have a brief era of increased popularity while appearing in Heroes for Hire and Thunderbolts books.

    Given his comic book history, it’s likely that Paladin’s services will have been acquired by someone else and it will be interesting to see if the series stays with the character’s roots or if Stashwick’s version is a true villain.

    ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Star Reportedly Joins Marvel Television’s ‘Vision’

    Marvel Television’s 2026 D+ Vision-centric streaming series continues to sound more and more like it will be a true exploration of the boundaries of machine and man. With James Spader set to return as the murderbot Ultron, Kerry Condon and James D’Arcy reportedly set to portray human versions of Tony Stark’s artificial intelligences F.R.I.D.A.Y and J.A.R.V.I.S, respectively, and T’Nia Miller cast as Jocasta, it’s clear the Terry Matalas‘ created series will take audiences to some weird places. Now it seems another AI will be joining the mix.

    According to insider Daniel Richtman, who broke the Miller casting, Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire has joined the cast of Vision. Richtman reports that Hampshire will bring another Stark AI, E.D.I.T.H.–the voice of Peter Parker’s augmented reality security, defense and artificial tactical intelligence system uploaded into a pair of glasses–to life.

    I’m not Ultron. I am not J.A.R.V.I.S.. I am… I am.

    With the series believed to be set to follow Paul Bettany‘s Vision through a bit of an existential crisis and explore “a lot of early Vision ideas from Phase 2,” according to Brad Winderbaum, there may well yet be more of Tony Stark’s creations brought to life. It’s possible, though in no way confirmed, that the streaming series may draw inspiration from Sam Humphries Avengers A.I. which explored the possibilities of artificial intelligences gaining sentience.

    After being destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, Vision’s shell was confiscated by S.W.O.R.D.. Under the supervision of Marvel Studios’ worst villain ever, Tyler Hayward, Vision was reassembled and reactivated as part of Project Cataract in the streaming series WandaVision. After interacting with Wanda’s Hex version of Vision, the new White Vision left Westview and the next chapter of his story will be told when the Vision series hits Disney Plus in 2026.

    T’Nia Miller Joins Marvel Television’s ‘Vision’ Series as Bronze Age Avenger

    In early March, concept art from Marvel Studios Senior Concept/Visual Development Mushk Rizvi’s now removed Art Station folder revealed early designs for Jocasta, a character whose introduction was teased a decade ago in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now, a trusted insider has learned the name of the talented actress set to bring the character to life in the 2026 streaming series, Vision.

    According to insider Daniel Richtman, T’Nia Miller, who started in Foundation and Netflix’s The Haunting anthology, has landed to role of the A.I. Avenger.

    Though she was designed as “The Bride of Ultron”, Jocasta has long been an ally of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and an Avenger herself. It’s unclear if Ultron will be responsible for the creation of her body in the MCU but it is starting to feel like Vision will see a proliferation of artificial beings with rumors that characters such as Viv Vision and Victor Mancha may also appear.

    Shaping up to be one of the studio’s most unique projects to date, Vision has been in production in the UK for several months. Originally developed by WandaVision and Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer, Vision was passed off to Star Trek: Picard showrunner Terry Matalas in May 2024. Matalas wasted no time rebuilding the show according to his new…vision…and from what can be gleaned by going through the confirmed cast–which includes Ultron voice actor James Spader–and team of directors, Vision may end up being a tense psychological thriller with notes of existential crisis. And it looks like it might have a lot of artificial intelligence types as well.

Set to stream on D+ in 2026, The Punisher Special Presentation, co-written by star Jon Bernthal and Reinaldo Marcus Green, will film later this year but to date, no details about the project’s plot or cast have been officially revealed.

    When the Special Presentation was first announced in February 2025, Bernthal posted a picture of the cover of The Punisher #53, the first of a seven-part arc entitled “The Final Days.” Published in 1991, “The Final Days”, written by Mike Baron, saw Castle tangle with Wilson Fisk. Given that Fisk is the central villain in the street-level corner of the MCU, an adaptation of “The Final Days” in which Frank takes down the Fat Man would make plenty of sense. However, it sounds as though the new project may be introducing a new crime boss to the MCU for Frank to set his sights on.

    According to insider Daniel Richtman, The Punisher Special Presentation is currently searching for an actress to play a female crime boss who will serve as the primary antagonist of the project.

    I care very deeply about Frank, I’m really grateful that I’m getting the opportunity to tell the story that I think the fans deserve. We’re giving it our all and we’re trying to tell a Frank Castle story that we’re going to turn our back on the audience — it’s not going to be easy, it’s not going to be light, and I think it’s the version that this character deserves and I’m just beyond honored and grateful that we get the opportunity.

    Marvel Television’s ‘Wonder Man’ Adds Béchir Sylvain in Mystery Role

    Seven months before it’s scheduled release on Disney Plus, Wonder Man remains largely shrouded in mystery. The Destin Daniel Cretton-created series will feature Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams with Ben Kingsley reprising his role as Trevor Slattery and Demetrius Grosse filing the role of Eric Williams, brother to Simon and, in the comics, known as the villain The Grim Reaper. Beyond that, the roles of the rest of the cast haven’t been made clear and much of the cast hasn’t been revealed at all. However, one new name did emerge following Disney’s Upfront presentation.

    According to Variety, Béchir Sylvain (Black Summer, BMF and Diarra from Detroit) has joined the eight-episode series in a “mysterious role.”

    Based on the character of Wonder Man, one of Marvel’s oldest characters, first introduced in 1964 in the pages of Avengers No 9. Known as Simon Williams, a celebrity actor and stuntman. In a nutshell, it is a story of two actors struggling to make it in the Hollywood of the MCU, [asking] the big question what does Hollywood look like in a world where super heroes are real?

    Once dismissed by The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon, longtime Avenger Wonder Man will finally join the MCU this summer and it sounds as though the studio will be strongly influenced by the comics. “If you’re a fan of the West Coast Avengers, you know a little bit about Simon Williams…you’re going to be very excited to see how much homage to the source material there is actually in the show,” said Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum. However, as the studio continues to work to keep the new series a mystery, we’ll have to wait to find out just what that influence will be.

    Marvel Television’s Next Series Set to Roll Out ‘Andor’-esque Premiere

    During D23 2022, Marvel Studios shared a wonderful trailer for the streaming series Ironheart, which at the time was slated to hit Disney Plus in the Fall of 2023. However, as the studio began to reconsider its streaming output, the project’s release date was put on hold. Almost 3 years after the trailer was shared with attendees in Anaheim, the studio has still not officially shared anything with the public…but now, we know when to expect the first trailer and that the studio is coming out swinging when the series debuts on June 24th.

    Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel Television’s Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).

    -Official Synopsis for Marvel Television’s Ironheart

    Via social media, the studio revealed that the first trailer for Ironheart will debut on May 14th and that the series, produced by Ryan Coogler, will open with a three-episode premiere.

    Online rumors suggest that Marvel will release the final three episodes of Ironheart the following week, giving the series a two-week window.

    Marvel Television’s Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam and Anji White.
