Remedy is tackling their first survival horror game with the sequel to Alan Wake. While the first was teased as closer to an action game, they want to embrace the horror and psychological elements in this new entry which is eyeing a release in 2023. the first visuals look quite promising and it might finally fill that Silent Hill itch that many have been having.

It looks like Warner Bros. has finally realized the potential they have with Wonder Woman, as she is finally getting her own game, which was a surprise drop during the Game Awards. While we didn’t see any gameplay, the fact they are working on it is a big victory for many fans of the character. Monolith is working on the game.

It looks like a new Star Wars game set in the High Republic era has been unveiled, as the Game Awares and Lucasfilm surprised visitors with the first CGI trailer for Star Wars: Eclipse that looks quite impressive. The game is in development by Quantic Dreams and looks very promising.

Just last year, we got the tease of the next entry in Senua’s Saga of the Hellblade series. While we didn’t see how exactly the new series would build upon the previous entry, this year’s Game Awards gave us a brand new look at the latest entry with some in-game action from Ninja Theory’s latest game.

It looks like we finally get some gameplay for the much teased Evil West action game that was teased during last year’s Game Awards. The gameplay looks like it takes inspiration from many popular fighting games with a camera style similar to God of War. The mechanics look exciting and it’ll be fun to tackle this corrupted take on the Wild Wild West.

Looks like zombie shooters are getting more attention once again, as Left 4 Dead is finally getting a sequel. Well, it turns out that it is more of a spiritual successor titled Back 4 Blood. They even gave us gameplay reveal that looks a lot like the zombie shooter we all have missed. Valve is infamous for not continuing their games beyond the second entry, so it is great to see this popular franchise make its return after a long hiatus. They teased that it will also be story-heavy and continue the spirit with even larger zombies. The alpha will also be available next week.
It looks like all our expectations were completely off. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has officially added Sephiroth as the next playable character. Not just that, he will be made playable already in December. We all guessed it would be Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon or, if they add someone from Square-Enix, it would be Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Well, it looks like Cloud will be joined by his iconic villain, which may also include a brand new Final Smash for our Final Fantasy VII hero.

Finally, we got an in-depth trailer of Nier Replicant. It was briefly teased at the Tokyo Game Show, as they have updated the game not just graphically but also made sure the gameplay is closer to that of Nier Automata. As a huge fan of the franchise, it is great to see the original get a remake to bring it back to the forefront. Automata was quite a success when it released but many forget that the original game that started this Drakengard spin-off was more of a niche release. The music alone makes me want to revisit this franchise in the upcoming remake.
