    ‘THE MANDALORIAN’ Chapter 12 Primer

In The Mandalorian Chapter 11, “The Heiress”, the frog lady found her husband and hatched an egg, so that is one less The Child has to snack on and one job done for the Mando. After the frog family reunion, the Mando took The Child to a diner where he hoped to find someone who could take him to another Mandalorian, and in a way he did. When he attempted to kill Din Djarin, other Mandalorians came to save him. Eventually, we find out that the lead Mandalorian was actually Bo-Katan!  Bo-Katan told Din Djarin that she will help him find a Jedi to help find more of The Child’s kind. But this comes with a price. He has to help her with hijacking an Imperial ship. She sends him to the planet Corvus to find Ashoka Tano. Yup that’s right, Din Djarin is going to meet Ahsoka!

Ashoka is a former Jedi Padawan who was Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice. If the Mando wants to make it to Ahsoka, he will definitely have to get his ship repaired because it is in very bad condition. Even though he paid a Mon Calamari to fix it last episode. If we pay attention to the Season 2 trailer, it seems to be that he will be headed back to Nevarro to meet up with his old allies, Cara Dune and Greef Karga, again. We can assume that is what will happen in the next episode, though we don’t know exactly. Hopefully, they can help him restore his ship and he can resume his journey.

    Arlyn’s Assumptions

Seeing that at the end of the last season he left the planet Nevarro during a huge battle it is definitely going to be weird returning there. Karga said that Nevarro was going to become a bounty hunter haven, so maybe bounty hunters from all over will be there. The bounty hunter that I think could be there is Bossk, who first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back. We’ve seen the series bring in characters from all over the place so far and another classic bounty hunter would fit right in. If Mando does find Ahsoka in this episode, it probably won’t be until the end.

    ‘THE MANDALORIAN’ Chapter 11 Primer

We can all agree that Chapter 10 of The Mandalorian, “The Passenger”, left us with something to look forward to. The episode left some unfinished business between Din Djarin and his new friend, the lovely frog lady. According to our frog lady, the eggs that she has are the last of her line and she needs them to hatch, so she made the Mandalorian promise to deliver her eggs so they can hatch safely. As we know, the Mandalorian doesn’t make promises he won’t keep, so we can probably think that he will deliver the eggs to where they have to go: the estuary moon of Trask.

The trailer that was released on September 15th definitely left some hints to the next episode including the one above which is probably one of the first shots of Chapter 11: the Razor Crest limping towards what appears to be a water planet (we know they are headed to an estuary moon, so yeah, a water planet). If we watch closely in the trailer, at exactly 45 seconds there is a frog man standing next to our frog lady. Who could this be you ask? It’s almost a sure to be frog lady’s husband! This means that the eggs have a good chance of being fertilized and hatching (unless Baby Yoda eats more of them!). Also the trailer shows a mysterious lady standing near the docks before vanishing. This character, played by Sasha Banks, and at this point, there seem to be two leading candidates for who she’s playing: Sabine Wren (who was first introduced in the show Star Wars Rebels) or Bo-Katan (who first appeared in Clone Wars Season 4). We have no evidence backing up which one she is playing but both Sabine Wren and Banks both have colorful hair, so maybe this is a clue. It is very much of an “out there” guess, but it still could be.

    Arlyn’s Assumptions

Depending on how things go with Banks’ character, there are quite a few possibilities as to how thing could go. If Banks’s character is the “bad guy of the week”, she might kill the frog people while attacking Mando, leaving Djarin to deliver the eggs and keep his promise to keep them safe. We’ve also seen Djarin and the Child come across many helpful strangers along the way, so it’s possible she will help the Mandalorian on his journey to find others of Baby Yoda’s kind.  Will Banks’s strange, new character turn out to be friend or foe? What it will be? We’ll find out tomorrow when Chapter 11 streams on Disney Plus!

‘YOUNG AVENGERS’ May Be On Deck for Marvel Studios

On October 16th, Disney created 3 new production companies. The fact that they were created on the same day might point towards them being Marvel Studios properties. Marvel Studios has a track record of creating production companies in bulk where as other branches of Disney usually produce them one at a time. For example, as revealed by Murphy’s Multiverse, Grass-Fed Productions and Solve Everything Productions were created on the same day as were many of Marvel Studios upcoming Disney+ projects. While we don’t know that they are Marvel Studios production companies, we did find some additional evidence that backs up the possibility that they are Marvel Studios productions, though it wasn’t enough to make us 100% certain. So what are they?   The production companies are Standoffish Productions, Blueberry Waffles Productions , and Log Jam Productions. While we can’t tie them to any Marvel property, we do have some ideas.

While this is a very loose connection, we think we have an idea of what one of the production companies could possibly be. Blueberry Waffles, here is our explanation. We have seen in Young Avengers Volume 2, written by Kieron Gillen and launched in January of 2013, that the team continuously meets up at Joe’s Diner for breakfast. In one of the issues, Kid Loki eats blueberry pancakes. As I like to say, waffles are just pancakes with abs, so this could be the production we are looking for. While we already know Marvel is developing a Young Avengers project, this could be them moving forward with the project. We are not 100% sure, but this could the answer.

While this is some pretty shaky evidence, we do know that Marvel Studios is developing many other projects like Blade (he stakes vampires with wood, so Log Jam…get it?), Ghost Rider, Illuminati, Ironheart, Secret Invasion and Secret Warriors, in addition to Young Avengers, so there are plenty of reasonable options for these production companies. Keep in mind that not all production companies are tied straight to the comic books. For example, WandaVision was Static Productions. Nobody would have ever found that one out. It is the same situation for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier streaming series that was Pandemic Productions. Until we have further proof, all we can do is keep this in the back of our minds as something to think about and with Marvel Studios slate already pretty full, it would be a while before any of these projects got up and running.
