Ahead of its return to the Hall H stage, a new report may have stolen a little bit of Marvel Studios’ thunder.
According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the studio has cast Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider. It is believed he’ll be introduced at during the studio’s panel, likely alongside an announcement of a project or two in which he’ll star.
Gosling has long been the fan-favorite for the role and recently admitted that “some discussions had been had” about the role, though he called it “a complicated situation.” In 2022, Marvel Studios Head Honcho Kevin Feige said that if Gosling wanted to be Ghost Rider, they’d love to find a place for him. “Ryan is amazing… I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU,” Feige said at the time. It sounds as though that has finally come to fruition.
As for what project(s) Gosling could be attached to, rumors have a Ghost Rider set to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars and alongside Mahershala Ali and Oscar Isaac in Midnight Sons, where they would team up to take on Mephisto. Of course, there’s also the string possibility of Gosling leading a solo Ghost Rider project, especially with Marvel Television boss Brad Winderbaum having revealed he’s all in on a Danny Ketch series.
