There was the reveal a while back that Nick Fury would be getting his own Disney+ show. Well, it looks like that show turned out to be the other rumored show focused on the iconic Secret Invasion storyline. Well, it turns out that both shows were actually one, as it has been revealed that Samual L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn are returning in their iconic roles for the show Secret Invasion. • War Machine Taking Center Stage in ‘Armor Wars’ Disney+ Series

War Machine Taking Center Stage in ‘Armor Wars’ Disney+ Series

Looks like War Machine will finally get his own series, as Marvel Studios announced Armor Wars. It will focus on the iconic series of Tony’s biggest fear. It is an interesting story to tackle that will most likely tie-in with the Ironheart series that was announced right before. This could also mean that the amours destroyed in Iron Man 3 may have found a new owner who took his time putting them back together. My money would also be on the return of Ultron, who may take control of them but it is only speculation as of now.

  • Iron Man’s Legacy Lives on in Disney+’s ‘Ironheart’

Iron Man’s Legacy Lives on in Disney+’s ‘Ironheart’

Well, it looks like the rumors were true. as a new Ironheart Disney+ series was announced by Kevin Feige. Not just that but Dominique Thorne has been cast as Riri Williams. Not much is known about the show’s direction but it seems like they’ll stick close to the comics. A while back I had the theory she might replace Iron Lad, as the character to have a connection with Kang. The fact she is getting a series of her own might add more relevance to that theory, so it will be interesting to see how things develop.

  • Christian Bale Confirmed as Gorr for ‘THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER’

Christian Bale Confirmed as Gorr for ‘THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER’

Since the moment he was cast in Thor: Love and Thunder, fans pegged Academy Award Winner Christian Bale as Gorr, the God Butcher. Today, Marvel Studios made us all THRILLED when they announced Bale in that role during the Disney Investor Day.

While the role has been shrouded in secrecy, we at Murphy’s Multiverse did hear LONG AGO that is was going to be a mo-cap heavy role. Nobody here is playing games and pretending we knew it was Gorr, but it’s good to know our source wasn’t TOTALLY off base. Gorr first appeared in 2012 in Jason Aaron’s Thor: God of Thunder #2 and proved to be one of Thor’s most capable enemies.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theaters May 6, 2022.

  • First Look at ‘Loki’ Disney+ Series

First Look at ‘Loki’ Disney+ Series

We didn’t just get a trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier but also for the third Disney+ series Loki. Kevin Feige described it as a mystery thriller, which is quite an interesting approach to this iconic character. The trailer was amazing, as it unveiled some movie-level effects and set pieces. It looks like whatever Loki will be up to might destroy the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It might be interesting to see how it all ties together, especially as the ending has unveiled he will once again meet Thor and Heimdall. After Heimdall’s death at the hands of Thanos, it opens up a lot of questions if he remains in a separate universe. The series will premier in Mai, which seems to hint at a two-month release window for each show.

Finally, we got an update on What If series, which looks amazing. They are teasing some brand new episodes beyond the ones we already know about. Of course, we got another look at Agent Carter as Captain Carter. There is a scene on T’Challa being kidnapped into space meeting Yondu. The Watcher was also teased in a storyline featuring Doctor Strange, so he might have a bigger role than we might initially expect. The animation style really works and I cannot wait to find out how they are going to tackle a zombie storyline.

  • Pixar Announces ‘Toy Story’ Spin-Off ‘Lightyear’

Pixar Announces ‘Toy Story’ Spin-Off ‘Lightyear’

Yes, you read that right. Toy Story is getting a spin-off that focuses on everyone’s favorite space captain Buzz Lightyear. Lightyear does not take place within the Toy Story universe but rather tells the story that inspired the toy. Chris Evans is set to voice the character that will give us a brand new look. It’s a great idea that was explored in the past in an animated form, so we will see how this new film will retell the story that made Buzz the character he thought he was in the original 1995 film.
