Hours before Kevin Feige took the Hall H stage at San Diego Comic Con, news broke that Marvel Studios had reached a deal with Ryan Gosling to bring the MCU iteration of Ghost Rider to life. Feige confirmed the news during the studio’s hour-long panel while also dropping the surprise of the night.
While fans have long heard the rumors of the Spirit of Vengeance appearing in Avengers: Secret Wars and alongside Mahershala Ali and Oscar Isaac in Midnight Sons, there haven’t truly been rumblings of a solo Ghost Rider project…and now one is in the works.
Announced at SDCC, Ryan Gosling will star in Ghost Rider, directed by Shaw Levy, hitting theaters in 2028.
