SWCA: First Details and First Look at New Animated ‘Tales of the Jedi’ Series

We’ve long wondered what exactly the Tales of the Jedi series is. At first, we thought perhaps it is the newly announced kids show Young Jedi Adventures, but it’s actually still its own series. We first heard it as part of a merchandise gift to Lucasfilm staff but it turns out that it’s a separate animated series which will act as an anthology series to explore some stories from characters we’ve come to love over the years. So far, they’ve confirmed that they will feature a young Count Dooku and Ahsoka.

Here is some concept art from the series which features some familiar faces.

Star Wars Celebration Newsletter Confirms ‘Tales of the Jedi’ Animated Anthology Series

It looks like the Star Wars celebration newsletter may have accidentally leaked the long-rumored Tales of the Jedi series. It’s been long rumored that they were working on an animated project, especially as the animation studio behind Monsters at Work hinted at a collaboration with Lucasfilm. Then there was a gift to Lucasfilm employees which included the logo for Tales of the Jedi. It was rumored we might get a confirmation at this year’s Star Wars Celebration event, but it seems their newsletter accidentally confirmed it, as shared by @SteeleWars on Twitter.

There has been quite the hunt on what exactly this series is going to end up being, as there’s also one that takes place during the High Republic that’s been strongly rumored and may even start production soon. Still, it seems that we might have a lot more heading our way during the upcoming Star Wars Celebration, as it might offer a few more teases of what the future has in store.

There was a noticeable absence of coverage for the franchise, as while Marvel Studios is promoting two Disney+ series and two films at the same tie, we are barely trying to keep up with Obi-Wan Kenobi and have no idea when we can expect something on Andor or any other project from the franchise. Here’s hopping that may change soon with the event by the end of May.

RUMOR: ‘Monsters at Work’s Studio Working on Lucasfilm Project, Potentially ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi’

Not too long ago, we’ve noticed that a new Star Wars project may have accidentally leaked through a Lucasfilm’s employee gift. Alongside the logos of already announced projects, there’s the inclusion of something titled Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi. We’ve never heard of this project before and it opened the floodgates of what it might be about. Well, it seems some clever Redditors have potentially found an answer.

User CommanderVisor has noticed that ICON Creative Studios is employing people for an unannounced animated project. The studio is well-known for its animated projects targeted at a younger audience, which includes The Rocketeer, Elena of Avaltor, and more. They’ve also worked on Disney+’s recent Monsters Inc. sequel, Monsters at Work.

Of course, there’s no concrete confirmation, and even The Bespin Bulletin is mainly speculating it might be this project. Yet, it seems possible that the project they are working on is the unannounced Tales of the Jedi. We’ll have to take it with a grain of salt until there’s a clearer confirmation, but it seems like Lucasfilm is trying to also cater to a younger audience with this new offering.

RUMOR: ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi’ Project Leaked Through Lucasfilm’s Employee Gift

You never know what may get revealed in one form or another. Crew merch has always been a good indicator of what we can expect from a project. Well, it seems that a new employee gift from Lucasfilm has hinted at a rather curious addition. It seems that they may be working on a project inspired by the book series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.

The gift of a classic record player came in a box from Lucasfilm Ltd. It has the company’s logo on it alongside the various projects in development that include The Book of Boba Fett, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Indiana Jones 5, and more.

What sticks out is that alongside Willow, The Bad Batch, and Visions, there’s a new logo for the before-mentioned project that has not officially been announced yet.

We’ll see if we get an announcement in the near future, but it’s a curious addition if this employee gift turns out to be real. If it’s included in this line-up it might hint at a project that is further in development than initially expected. Here’s hoping we find out more in the near future.
