    D23: ‘She-Hulk’ Won’t Help Set-Up ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Disney+ Series

Daredevil is making his grand return in She-Hulk, Attorney at Law with a brand new look. There was a lot of fanfare since he first appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home for a brief cameo and is now set to get his own revival series Daredevil: Born Again. It got a brief showcase during D23 but no further details on what to expect and how it may tie into his overall development as part of the MCU.

Well, if you’ve been hoping that his appearance in She-Hulk will see the first hint at his series, or even act as the initial spinoff but that’s not the case according to Charlie Cox. When asked after the big D23 panel, he revealed that the series won’t tie into his upcoming spinoff and it seems like it may just be a fun re-introduction to also highlight how Daredevil will be in the MCU.

Of course, we’ll likely get an actual setup in Echo as it has also been confirmed that Kingpin will make his return in that series. So, it’s very likely that this is more of a set-up for his eventual return in the MCU. Plus, he’s not in New York City for some reason, and taking him out of his usual environment might just serve that very purpose.

While Netflix’s Daredevil was quite a massive show for the streamer, there still are people not too familiar with the character who get a chance to meet him before fully investing in his story and place in the MCU moving forward.

  • Marvel Studios Unlikely to Have Already Cast its ‘Fantastic Four’

Marvel Studios Unlikely to Have Already Cast its ‘Fantastic Four’

Even as we neared D23, there were a lot of rumors hitting the web about a potential Fantastic Four casting announcement. Even though the film won’t release until 2024, it was the talk of the town everywhere you could see. Not only did we get countless fan castings but a lot of people claimed they’d heard that the line-up would be the big reveal during D23.

The event has passed and we have nothing outside of the confirmation of Matt Shakman‘s involvement with the project. According to Deadline’s Justin Kroll, there’s a good reason we didn’t get one. Shakman has seemingly only boarded the project recently and as he’ll shapes how it’ll develop, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige won’t start the casting process without his input.

It makes sense and it’s important that the casting process also heavily involves the director, as chemistry is important on set for everyone involved. Plus, they still have until 2024 for the film to release and the film will likely be a big draw for many names in the industry. They may have reached out for some to potentially audition but they won’t move forward without Shakman‘s insight.

  • Don’t Expect MCU’s ‘X-Men’ Movie “For a Very Long Time”

Don’t Expect MCU’s ‘X-Men’ Movie “For a Very Long Time”

We’ve all been wondering what D23 might have in store for us and it definitely delivered. We got the reveal for Werewolf by Night, a grand showcase of their currently announced slate, and even the line-up for the upcoming Thunderbolts movie. So, it definitely was full of surprises but there was still no word on when we can expect any updates on the X-Men.

Well, according to Deadline’s Justin Kroll, we can’t really expect any true announcement or updates on the project “for a very long time” outside of them potentially finding some writers for the project. So, anyone hoping to hear a casting of an iconic X-Men might have to strap in for the long run before we get any real updates on that.

Marvel Studios has been very open about them not wanting to rush the X-Men and mutants out. Plus, they already have quite the list of characters being rolled out and while there’s a possible appearance in Phase 6 for the project, there’s still a lot more to get out until then. So, it may be something we won’t see until after The Multiverse Saga potentially, but only time will tell.

D23: First ‘Echo’ Footage Confirms Vincent D’Onofrio’s Return, Explores Native American Culture

We’ve all theorized that Echo would see the return of Vincent D’Onofrio‘s Kingpin and even Charlie Cox as Daredevil. While it’s a spinoff from Hawkeye, it will set the stage for more grounded storylines. During D23, it seems that the first footage showcased at D23 includes the return of Kingpin with an eyepatch, which is a follow-up from the last time we saw him.
