Production on Black Adam is set to kick-off this week, which was recently confirmed by Dwayne Johnson. Still, it seems the casting process for the project isn’t done yet. Deadline reported that Tony-nominated actor James Cusati-Moyer has joined the project in an undisclosed role. It’s unclear just how big of a role he’ll have in the film.
Moyer’s previous credits include an array of Broadway work on plays such as Six Degrees of Separation and Slave Play, where played Dustin, a role that scored him a Tony nomination. More of Moyer’s portfolio consist of roles on Inventing Anna, Prodigal Son, Red Oaks, and The Path
The film will follow the origins and return of Teth-Adam, played by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, as he returns to Kahndaq and faces the Justice Society of America who oppose his ways of getting things done.
The film is currently set too be released on July 29th, 2022 and will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The film feature the debut of The Rock in the titular role as the anti-hero alongside Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz.
