Principal photography may have wrapped on Spider-Man: Brand New Day and as the project moves fully into post-production, news is likely to continue to emerge. And on that front, an insider who has dished out plenty of reliable information about the next installment in the Spidey franchise has come through with another interesting tidbit.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, one of Spider-Man’s first foes, crime boss Frederick Foswell, will join the long list of baddies set to torment Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Known as the Big Man, Foswell first appeared in 1963’s Amazing Spider-Man #10, running New York’s criminal underworld from the shadows while working as a reporter at the Daily Bugle. While Big Man never rose to the same heights as Wilson Fisk, his presence went a long way in establishing street-level criminals as key players in Spidey’s story.
Foswell will join Tombstone and Scorpion in antagonizing Parker, who will also have to deal with Tramell Tillman‘s DODC director, Frank Castle’s brand of vigilante justice and a rampaging Hulk in addition to Sadie Sink’s mystery character. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it would seem as though Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again might end with Wilson Fisk removed from his position as the Kingpin of Crime, leaving a power vacuum for characters such as Foswell and Tombstone to fill.
