Here’s what you need to know:
- Apparently, it’s not nice to allegedly break a man’s eye socket and it’s likely that Alvin Kamara will be suspended. Kamara is currently facing felony battery charges from an incident during Pro Bowl weekend and sources around the league say that a six game suspension is expected. News also broke this morning that a civil lawsuit will be filed.
- For the third straight year, the NFL will forgo the Supplemental Draft. The event is meant to be an exhibition for college players to have one last chance to enter the NFL. However, it’s become increasingly apparent that teams have rarely use this draft to add talent.
- The Key Signings Roundup looks a bit different today:
- DirecTV is ending its 30 year run of hosting Sunday Ticket. Three companies have emerged with competing bids: Disney, Amazon, and Apple. it’s been reported that the league is looking for at least $2 billion for the rights to the content and a possible stake in NFL Media.
