    SWCA: ‘Tales of the Jedi’ Trailer Description Teases Mace Windu and Revan Look-a-Like

    Not only did the Tales of the Jedi panel give the visitors a first look at an episode focused on Ahsoka, but they also got a brand new trailer teasing the various stories that will be included in this anthology series. As shared by our own Hunter Radesi, who is attending the event, it seems that they’ve hinted at a lot of the various storylines that’ll get explored in the animated series.

    There are sequences featuring Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Bail Organa, and even Yaddle. Dooku and Windu are seen fighting side-by-side. There’s a new inquisitor with a Revan-inspired mask, which is white with red markings. Dooku also has a line that seems to reflect one by Anakin from Revenge of the Sith, possibly hinting at his darker turn. We even have Anakin making fun of Ahsoka during training. So, it looks like there will be quite a few episodes that explore different themes and concepts.

    After already getting a closer look at the newly confirmed Tales of the Jedi series, we now also received the confirmation that the composer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Kevin Kiner, is going to return for the animated anthology series. It’s not too surprising as the series will be made in the same animation style and its creator Dave Filloni is also heavily involved with the project. The news comes directly from the panel as Hunter Radesi is keeping us updated on the announcements.

    SWCA: Description of ‘Tales of the Jedi’s First Ahsoka-Focused Episode

    Star Wars Celebration has been filled with surprises, and we even got our first real look at Tales of the Jedi. The new animated series will explore the history of some familiar faces throughout Star Wars‘ long history and our very own Hunter Radesi got the chance to watch an episode from the series. Here’s a description of that footage.

    The episode they got to watch was titled “Life and Death.” The episodes seem to be on the shorter side with a length of 15 minutes teased for the episode that was shown and it has a similar style to The Clone Wars. It explored the story of Ahsoka Tano when she was born in a little village. We actually meet her family and there’s a celebration. A year later, she takes her hunting and teaches her lessons on the value of life.

    Her mother will be voiced by Janina Gavankar, who many might recognize as Iden Verso from Battlefront II. It seems while they are hunting they get attacked by an animal that is similar to a sabretooth tiger. Her mom was keeping it off long enough for support from the village to arrive. Yet it grabs Ahsoka and brings it to her cave. She manages to communicate with it through the Force so as not to get eaten. She returns o her village riding it and we meet an old lady that proclaims that “Ahsoka is a Jedi.”

    Tales of the Jedi is shaping into quite the series, as first details are making their way online through the Star Wars Celebration event. Our own Hunter Radesi has been attending the event and offered some details from the panel that might excite some The Clone Wars fans as it’s been revealed that in three episodes focused on Ahsoka Tano’s life, we’ll see the return of Ashley Eckstein and Matt Lanter. While Rosario Dawson and Hayden Christensen have taken on the live-action roles of Ahsoka and Anakin Skywalker, this is definitely something exciting for fans of the animated series with Dave Filoni‘s heavily involved with the series.

    Here’s a surprise, during the Tales of the Jedi panel, a new animated series that’ll explore the history of some familiar Jedi, we got the confirmation that Liam Neeson is making his return to the franchise. While he denied wanting to cameo in Obi-Wan Kenobi, it seems that he’ll voice Qui-Gon Jinn one more time in the animated series. That’s not all, as it seems his son will play a younger version of himself in the series. Of course, this confirmation may also fuel some more theories on him potentially returning in the latest Disney+ series as well given he is even referenced.

    We’ve long wondered what exactly the Tales of the Jedi series is. At first, we thought perhaps it is the newly announced kids show Young Jedi Adventures, but it’s actually still its own series. We first heard it as part of a merchandise gift to Lucasfilm staff but it turns out that it’s a separate animated series which will act as an anthology series to explore some stories from characters we’ve come to love over the years. So far, they’ve confirmed that they will feature a young Count Dooku and Ahsoka.

    Hulu’s ‘Futurama’ Revival Would’ve Replaced John DiMaggio With a New Voice Actors Each Episode

    There was a lot of excitement when Hulu announced that they are working on a revival of the popular The Simpsons spinoff, Futurama. Coined as the show with the smartest writing team in the industry, it was a milestone series with some great comedy and drama. Not only that, but it also was one that seemingly wouldn’t go down without a fight as it kept returning even after it was canceled repeatedly. Yet, there was one discrepancy as John DiMaggio wasn’t confirmed to return as Bender during the Initial castings.

    While he would later join in after all as negotiations finally came to an end, he did reveal during Phoenix Fan Fusion what their initial plans were if he didn’t return. It looks like that they were “planning on using guest stars, [and] they were going to replace Bender’s voice each episode” The crowd did react with groans at the event, but it

    He did also reveal that he didn’t actually make more money off of the negotiations but rather made quite the statement, as he highlighted that “I didn’t get more money. But what I did get was a lot of respect, and a lot of head nods from people who are like, ‘Yo bro, I see you and thank you.” While it didn’t give him more money, it definitely created a stronger position for voice actors in the industry and hopefully supports them to get to a better place within the market.

    SWCA: Extended ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 Footage Teases Mandalore

    Our very own Hunter Radesi has been busy covering the Star Wars Celebration, as he attended various panels and got to experience what it had to offer. He also got the chance to attend the Mando+ panel all about The Mandalorian and its various spinoffs. Not only did they show off the first footage for Ahsoka, but they even added an extended look at the upcoming third season.

    Hunter shared with us an update on what was added to the trailer that they showed off during the main event, such as quick shots of The Armorer, Bo-Katan, and other Mandalorians. They also showed off some monkey lizards even a look at Boba Frik. Of course, it included a good look at Grogu being adorable with the final shot being the highlight, a ship emerging from the clouds with a destroyed Mandalore beneath it.

    SWCA: First ‘Ahsoka’ Footage Teases Ezra Bridger and ‘Rebels’ Connection

    A first look at the upcoming The Mandalorian series, Ahsoka, has been shown off during the Mando+ panel at Star Wars Celebration. Our very own Hunter Radesi has been sharing details from the panel such as the first footage for the upcoming series. It is currently still in production for the last three weeks, and they’ve managed to put together a teaser for the attending fans.

    According to Hunter, they showed off Hera, but we don’t see her face. She’s with some rebels and a droid. Then we get to see Ahsoka wandering through some old ruins, where she takes off her hood. Then we get a mural featuring the Rebels cast before it ends with a tease of Ezra Bridger. Sadly, they haven’t revealed who is playing and it’s simply giving us a strong focus on him as part of the mural before the actor walked in with the back of his head showing but no clear view of who is playing him.

    The “+” portion of Mando + Panel at Star Wars Celebration turned out to be quite a treat for fans. After getting a full trailer for Season 3 of The Mandalorian, attention turned to the upcoming live-action Ahsoka series, which is currently in production. To the excitement of the crowd, it was confirmed that 3 fan-favorites (in addition to Ezra Bridger) from the animated Rebels series would make their live-action debuts in Ahsoka.

    Rebel leader Hera Syndulla, her loyal droid Chopper and Mandalorian Sabine Wren will all appear in the show when it streams in 2023. In addition to Chopper making an appearance on the stage, actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who was linked to the role of Sabine in November, made her way on stage to join star Rosario Dawson. No casting was revealed for the roles of Hera or Ezra.

    Ahsoka is set to continue the tale of Ahsoka Tano, one time Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, who left the Jedi order and became a major figure in the Rebellion against the Empire. The series is expected to follow her as she attempts to locate Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger, who were last seen disappearing into hyperspace in the series finale of Rebels.
