First Look at ‘Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake’ Revealed

Ubisoft tried to keep it a secret but the remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time had been leaked a week in advance of their latest Ubisoft Forward event. Images were even released shortly before the event even started. The game originally released back in 2003 and was one of Ubisoft’s biggest tentpole franchises at the time. It got slowly replaced by Assassin’s Creed that let them explore different timelines. It just wasn’t the same, especially with the lack of time mechanics that made Prince of Persia so unique.

The game’s style gave them a chance to update it easier. They mostly enhanced aspects with the visuals, combat and camera to bring the classic into the modern era. They also added a new targeting function to make it easier to perform his moves. Brand new sequences were shot with motion capture.  Yuri Lowenthal has also officially returned to voice the Prince. The remake will be released next year on January 21rd and I cannot wait to see how they brought the classic into the modern era.
