Henry Rollins Joins ‘New-Gen’ Marvel Comic Adaptation as Main Antagonist

It looks like the upcoming animated series based on the New-Gen Marvel comic by J.D. Matonti, Chris Matonti, and Julia Coppola has found its main antagonist. Punk rock musician Henry Rollins, who was part of the Black Flag band, will take on the role of Daedalus. The series focuses on twin brothers, who will be voiced by Finn Wolfhard and his brother Nick, that save the world of New-Gen from a nanotech war.

He’ll join the talented cast of Lena Headey, Anya Chalotra, and Luke Wilson. Rollins has some experience with animated series, such as starring in the recently released Masters of the Universe: Revelation, The Legend of Korra, and Adventure Time. He’s also appeared in series like Sons of Anarchy and Portlandia. It’ll be interesting to see what he has to offer to the role.

It’s an interesting series that doesn’t have a specific release date or distributor. The series will be co-written by Eugene Son and has Bardel Entertainment producing. Jetpack Distribution is taking over global rep, but it seems Marvel is not involved in the series. It may hint that the rights to the franchise remained with the creators.
