Latest ‘Ms. Marvel’ Concept Art Reveals a Cut Sequence, Teases a Noor Temple

Ms. Marvel has hinted throughout its entire season about a new dimension that is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Similar to how Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings revealed that a small pocket universe houses a bunch of mythological beings of Chinese mythology. The Disney+ show teased that there exists a crystalline world simply called the Noor Dimension. We only get a brief tease and a small gateway that comes with a heavy price.

Yet, a new piece of artwork seemingly teases what the Noor Dimension might’ve looked like. While not confirmed, the crystalline and purple designs do seemingly hint at what may have been the dimension or a gateway into that world. Artist Emmanuel Shiu shares some beautiful art pieces that even hint at Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel herself, finding her way into this temple.

It really is a shame that they skipped this sequence, especially with how visually stunning it looks. Plus, if there was one thing the series sadly didn’t focus on enough, it would be the Noor Dimension and the Clandestine. While interesting early on, they rushed through their story and ended up getting sidelined by the end.

There’s a chance that Kamran, and the still unexplained awakening of his abilities, could potentially lead to whatever the future has in store. They have seemingly set up their future exploration, especially with the surprising union between him and Red Daggers. Given their purpose, it could open up a lot of possibilities in exploring how it all connects.

The Morning After Huddle: July 22, 2022

Welcome to your Football Friday edition of The Morning After Huddle. Back up the Brinks truck! It’s not Friday night, but Kyler Murray just got paid. (Shoutout to you if you caught that song reference.)

Here’s what you need to know:

    • There are 230 million reasons why Kyler Murray is the happiest man in Arizona. Murray and the Cardinals agreed to a five-year $230 million dollar contract that includes $160 million in guarantees. This ties Kyler to the organization through 2028 and his yearly average will amount to a whopping $46+ million. This is quite the haul for a QB who’s only been in the league 3 years, but teams are quickly finding out that you need to pay your key pieces or someone else will.
    • Training camps are underway and so are the injuries. The Giants, Jets, Pats, Falcons, Saints and Raiders are lining up to place players on the PUP list, including 5 players in Foxboro alone (They can’t blame this on the TB12 program). • SDCC: New ‘She-Hulk’ Promotional Poster Let’s You Call Jennifer Walters

SDCC: New ‘She-Hulk’ Promotional Poster Let’s You Call Jennifer Walters

Step aside Matt Murdock, the best lawyer in the Marvel Universe is about to make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. We are just a few weeks away from the premiere of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Marvel Studios is giving Jennifer Walters the spotlight she deserves at San Diego Comic-Con, with promotions for the series littered around every corner in San Diego.

In the actual convention center, fans will be able to stumble across a photo-op for the upcoming series featuring the series logo atop a pile of rubble and a wall that looks as if She-Hulk herself had sprung into action and lept through it. It also seems like a fun tribute to the iconic comic panel where she ripped through the comic pages.

    https://twitter.com/ChangoATX/status/1550111090998231041

Perhaps the most creative part of the series promotion is a poster being found around the con. The poster works as an ad for Jennifer Walter’s superhero legal representation and at the bottom list, a phone number and the slogan “I go green, so you get green.” And the best part is, that the number actually works. Fans can call the number and once they pick up they’ll be greeted by Jennifer Walters apologizing because she wasn’t able to take your call, and then proceeding to hulk-out to record the rest of the ad.

She makes a few fun references to characters like Iron Man, having lost control of a sentient robot that threatened all life on earth, and even Thor who leaves Bifrost sigils burned into every surface he teleports from. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is surely in for a treat this weekend as the series is likely to have a major presence at this Saturday’s big Marvel Studios Hall H panel.

  • ‘Wheel of Time’ Renewed for Season 3

‘Wheel of Time’ Renewed for Season 3

Fans of the Amazon series, The Wheel of Time, learned some additional good news ahead of the series’ Season 2 premiere. At the show’s panel presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that the series has been renewed for a third season.

Rafe Judkins, the series executive producer and showrunner, shared the news during the panel:

I’m so thrilled that we’ll be making a third season of ‘The Wheel of Time’…The Shadow Rising has always been my favorite book in the series, so being able to bring it to television and introduce new audiences to the stories that made me fall in love with these books in the first place is such an honor, and something I’ve been working toward since I first pitched the show years and years ago.

    Rafe Judkins

The fantasy series first debuted in late 2021. While the second season does not yet have a premiere date, it wrapped production back in May. The first season of the show followed the tale of Moiraine Damodred (portrayed by Rosamund Pike) on her quest to find the Dragon Reborn, who is prophesied to either save the world from the evil that currently consumes it or be the harbinger of its destruction.

In addition to Rosamund Pike, the series stars Daniel HenneyZoë Robins, and Madeline Madden among others. Dónal Finn will be replacing Barney Harris in the role of Mat Cauthon in season two. As well, it was previously announced that Killing Eve’s Ayoola Smart would be joining the cast for the second season. Rafe Judkins serves as the showrunner and executive producer.

The first season of Wheel of Time is available to stream on Prime Video now.

‘Succession’s’ Sarah Snook, Demi Lardner Join Cast of Hulu’s ‘Koala Man’

New additions to the cast of Hulu’s upcoming animate comedy series Koala Man were announced at the series’ panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Succession actress Sarah Snook and Australian comedian Demi Lardner join a cast featuring Michael Cusack and Hugh Jackman.

Snook is set to play the character Vicky, who believes her husband Kevin, the somewhat pathetic titular hero, is just going through a phase. She tolerates him as Koala Man, a superhero whose only superpower is an intense passion for following rules and handling petty crime in the Australian town of Dapto. Lardner plays Alison, the daughter of Kevin and twin to Liam. Cusack, who also serves as creator and executive producer on the new series, voices multiple characters including the titular hero and his son, Liam. • ‘Madame Web’ Set Video May Confirm Dakota Johnson as Julia Carpenter

‘Madame Web’ Set Video May Confirm Dakota Johnson as Julia Carpenter

Filming for Sony’s latest Marvel project, Madame Web, is currently underway in Boston, and a new video from the set may have finally confirmed who Dakota Johnson is playing. The film’s titular character is traditionally portrayed as an elderly woman confined to a magically extravagant chair, so the casting of Johnson as the lead has perplexed fans since the news of her involvement broke in February. Rumors have circulated for months that the former 50 Shades of Grey star might be playing a different iteration of Madame Web than longtime Spider-Man readers are accustomed to seeing, and the latest footage from the set has likely confirmed this to be the case.

The outfit worn by Johnson in the video is clearly a match for the character Julia Carpenter, who has a long history in Marvel comics. Carpenter was introduced in 1984’s famous Secret Wars story as the second Spider-Woman, after Jessica Drew, having obtained spider-like abilities from a secret government experiment. The heroine would appear on-and-off in Spider-Man comics for the next handful of decades, until she made the transition from Spider-Woman to Madame Web in 2010. She gained the latter’s clairvoyant powers as the original Madame Web perished, and chose Carpenter as her successor.

Madame Web is in production under the direction of S.J. Clarkson, and has thus far assembled a fairly impressive cast. Aside from Johnson, audiences will also see Sydney Sweeney, Adam Scott, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, and Mike Epps appear in the film. It’s still unknown who any of the other stars will be playing, but Johnson‘s seemingly confirmed role as Carpenter may give fans a hint as to the direction the story will be going.

  • Rege-Jean Page Explains Why He Joined ‘Dungeons & Dragons’

Rege-Jean Page Explains Why He Joined ‘Dungeons & Dragons’

The celebrity of Rege-Jean Page has only just begun, and the actor can’t seem to wait for audiences to see his next project. Hot off the smashing success of Bridgerton‘s steamy first season, Page left the series and pursued other work. He can next be seen on the same streaming service that made him a star, portraying a lead character in Netflix’s action thriller film The Grey Man. There, he’ll act opposite Hollywood icons Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, under direction from blockbuster maestros Joe and Anthony Russo. If that wasn’t enough to solidify Page‘s spot as one of the industry’s next great leading men, his follow-up to The Grey Man will likely do the trick.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will be the first theatrically released, live-action adaptation of the world’s most famous role-playing game since 2000’s critical failure, Dungeons & Dragons. Page plays a Paladin named Xenk in the film, putting his name up with the likes of fellow cast members Chris Pine and Hugh Grant. The former Mortal Engines star is currently at San Diego Comic-Con promoting the movie, and offered a fantastic answer when asked by The Hollywood Reporter why he joined the cast in the first place:

In a word, it was fun. It was really, really fun. I remember picking up the script and not knowing what to expect and hoping it was good and then it surpassing every hope that I had for it. It’s full of heart, and humor, and compassion, and adventure… You always love it when a job makes it hard to say no, and so I didn’t.

    Rege-Jean Page

If Page is even the least bit accurate with this description, then Honor Among Thieves won’t be a release fans will want to miss. The reboot, directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, hits theaters on March 3, 2023.

‘She-Hulk’ Star Confirms SDCC Attendance Ahead of Marvel Studios’ Panel

The 2022 San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing this weekend. While events begin on Thursday, many eyes are on the Saturday, July 23, Hall H presentation. Among others, Marvel Studios is set to present new information and updates on existing projects, and may even potentially announce new projects. While the speculation runs wild, we are slowly getting bits of information that may help predict some of what Marvel Studios will present on Saturday.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Jameela Jamil has confirmed in a tweet that she will be at SDCC. While she does not confirm she will be there to represent the upcoming Disney+ series, it is a safe bet. Jamil will star as villain Titania opposite Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk. You can see the tweet below:

Considering She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the next live-action project from Marvel Studios, it is almost expected that fans will learn more about the series at SDCC in Marvel Studios’ presentation. The series is set to feature high-profile characters and actors such as Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky. The 9-episode series will be inspired by courtroom comedies and follow Jennifer Walters as she navigates her life as a superhuman law attorney while being superhuman herself.

SDCC attendees could hear from cast members like Jamil, and her attendance could signal the potential attendance of the major cast and crew from the series. Marvel Studios could also drop new footage or information on the series that will debut in less than a month.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will premiere its first episode on Disney+ on August 17, 2022.

  • SDCC: Jim Lee Once Again Confirms There Are No Future Plans to Expand ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’

SDCC: Jim Lee Once Again Confirms There Are No Future Plans to Expand ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’

San Diego Comic-Con becomes an opportunity for fans to interact with the people they look up to. It also gives us insight into the future plans of DC Comics, Warne Bros., Marvel Studios, and more. During a panel featuring DC’s Jim Lee, a fan got the chance to ask bout the future of the infamous Snyderverse that many fans hoped would form after HBO Max’s release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Lee had the following to say:

I work on the projects that are in development, right? So, I think the Snyder Cut was Zack’s vision realized and it was a really satisfying story told but there are no plans for additional work on that material.

    Jim Lee

He did highlight that he was happy to support Zack Snyder‘s pitch for future entries that were showcased in an exclusive exhibit. So, for those that were hoping that Warner Bros. was secretly working on a Snyderverse sequel of some kind. His original vision for a potential trilogy will remain as a dream, and perhaps he’ll get a chance to release it in the form of a comic or book.

The thing that is worth noting is that the Snyderverse movement has been put under scrutiny due to bot usage to further spread its message. While many are discussing just what the data provided truly means, there’s a lot we don’t fully know bout the story. Perhaps it’ll find its way online at some point in the future, but for now the HBO Max special will remain as something special.

  • SDCC: ‘National Treasure’ Episode Count Revealed

SDCC: ‘National Treasure’ Episode Count Revealed

It is not Nicolas Cage stealing the Declaration of Independence, or Diane Kruger having to reject his advances, but we are on the road back to National Treasure. The original, and its sequel, made over $800 million at the box office and, while the third movie never came to fruition, it seems we are about to get the next best thing! That’s right, friends: the conspiracy theory and puzzles we’ve come to expect are returning, albeit with an incredibly diverse cast in the Disney Plus streaming series National Treasure: Edge of History.

National Treasure: Edge of History will focus on Jess Morales, played by Lisette Olivera, a 20-year old DACA recipient who is pulled into a globe-trotting adventure in search of her family history. Olivera will be joined by the legendary Catherine Zeta-Jones as well as franchise stalwart Justin Bertha, in this serialized entry into the franchise, which will premiere on Disney+ and will be led by the same team that wrote and directed the first film. We haven’t had much information on plot or any other recurring stars other than Bertha, but we now have a little more to go on.

The series’ first season will be 10 episodes long, with the entire series going 10 hours in length, providing fans with the equivalent runtime of five National Treasure films, The series will act as a starring vehicle for Olivera, and one that could catapult her into stardom if it becomes a bit for Disney+. Crossing paths with a legend like Zeta-Jones will only serve to uplift her stature here. Principal photography began in February of this year in Baton Rouge, Louisiana ahead of an expected 2023 release.
