Olivia Wilde is currently busy promoting her upcoming release of Don’t Worry Darling, but that didn’t stop Variety from asking a few questions about her upcoming Marvel project. It’s been long rumored that she might be working on a project focused on Spider-Woman for Sony but even hinted that Kevin Feige was involved at one point. Sadly, she remains quite co on what exactly the project is.
That, I can’t say a word about. Yeah, no — I can’t say anything about it. I have to bury myself in the couch now.Olivia Wilde
While trying not to give anything away, she does actually tease what it’s like working on a Marvel project and how welcoming they are to filmmakers to play in their playbox.
I will say that I think the Marvel approach of allowing newer filmmakers to come into the fold and have access to those tools of the Marvel universe is incredibly exciting. I am a big fan of what they’re doing over there, but, yeah, I can’t confirm whether that is what that is.Olivia Wilde
It’s curious she still can’t talk about the project. Madame Web was rushed out with quite a bit of fanfare once it was announced. So, it seems like Wilde is given a lot of time to develop the project at her own terms and who knows if there might be some hint at what it is in the near future.
