Famous Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett, is finally getting the spotlight in his own show. The series The Book of Boba Fett streams tomorrow on Disney+! After being briefly teased in Season 1 of The Mandalorian, Boba played a key role in Season 2. He reclaimed his armor and helped Din Djarin protect Grogu before heading back to Tatooine and forcefully taking the former throne of Jabba The Hutt, with Fennec Shand by his side. That is where we will find him at the beginning of Episode 1.
Boba Fett will be trying to transition from bounty hunter to crime lord and this road he’s going down is going to be a little bit rockier than he thought. So what’s in store for Boba as the series goes on? Lucasfilm has been especially secretive, refusing to send out media screeners to keep as many secrets protected as possible. However, we do have some idea of what is going to happen thanks to trailers, rumors, and information from the cast.
Star Temuera Morrison has revealed that the show is going to go back in time. In the trailer we can see Boba climbing out of the Sarlacc Pit fans believed he died in during Return of the Jedi. That will give us some idea of how he got back on his and catch us up to the point where we saw him in Season 1 of The Mandalorian. Rumored appearances of other Empire-era bounty hunters, Crimson Dawn and even Luke Skywalker have made their way through fandom, but with fewer than 12 hours to go, we truly don’t know what to expect.
Arlyn’s Assumptions
Based on what we can see in the trailers, Boba and Fennec are going to have to do a lot of fighting despite Boba’s wishes to the contrary. They are also going to meet a few of the galaxies most dangerous bounty hunters along the way, not all of whom are friends with Boba. Given Lucasfilm’s secrecy we should expect Grogu-sized suprises.
The latest episode of Hawkeye was the most revealing one yet. Kate and Yelena had a great girls’ night leading to Kate finding out that Yelena was hired to kill Clint…but by who? This question is answered in the final minute of the show: Eleanor Bishop! Clint reveals to Maya that he is Ronin and that he was tipped off by an informant, hired by her boss, who was revealed to be Kingpin. The informant is no other than Kazi. Maya learns this quickly and this might result in a fight in this last episode.
Some of the biggest things that haveto happen in this next episode are Kate confronting her mom about being essentially the bad guy in this whole thing. And then we have the Kingpin issue at hand; he is obviously going to be a problem for Maya. We also still have Yelena coming after Clint. And he has to get home for Christmas. All of these things have to wrap up seeing that this is the last episode.
Arlyn’s Assumptions
At the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we see Peter swinging over the Rink at Rockefeller Center, the location where the big, final fight is supposed to happen in Hawkeye. As cool as it would be to see Spidey join the fight, if he is in the show for too long it would take the focus off of Clint and Kate’s stories. Now that Maya knows that Kazi helped get her father killed, she’ll be looking to put a hurting on him. She will also want to get back at Kingpin, but I don’t think that Kingpin is going to make too big of an impact in the finale because the last thing he wants to do is be openly associated with criminals. I think he’ll be back in a bigger role in another series. Eleanor is going to end up in jail leaving Kate all by herself and, after everything Kate has done for Clint, I think she’ll be joining him as he makes it home just in time for the Barton family Christmas.
As Episode 4 of Hawkeye, “Partners, Am I Right?” got started, the situation between Jacques and Clint was solved very quickly and they end up having a nice little tea party. During this episode, we learn that Jacques is basically a huge moron and that Kate’s mom might actually be the one pulling all of the strings behind the scenes, not him. Clint’s attempts to wrap up the Ronin business leads him to Kazi to try and make him convince Maya that she is chasing a ghost. Clint also goes in search of a mysterious watch that might hint at something about Laura being something, or someone, we never expected.
Kate’s mom made a phone call almost directly after Clint left her house; after this phone call Yelena shows up and attacks Clint. We know that Yelena was sent after Clint by Val, but I’m thinking this might mean that the phone call Kate’s mom made may have been to Val. Kate’s mom doesn’t really seem to be who we thought she was. Kate and Clint also get a chance to do a lot more bonding when Kate saves Christmas. As they talked, Kate asked Clint what the best shot he ever took was and Clint replied “the one I didn’t take”, referring to when he saved Nat. Closer to the end of the episode, when Kate had the perfect shot to kill Yelena, she chose not to which was a pretty cool parallel. The question is will Kate’s decision turn out well, like Clint’s, or will Yelena go cuckoo and make Kate regret it? After bonding during the “Christmas party”, sadly Clint and Kate seem to be splitting up following the big rooftop battle. Clint wants Kate to stay out of this fight but we all know Kate WON’T allow that.
Arlyn’s Assumptions
As we are coming close to the end of the season and something HUGE is about happen. We know from the trailers that the black-tie party is coming up (maybe the Bishop holiday party Kate’s mom was planning) and we also know that at some point Kingpin is going to pop in. I’m assuming that party is a great place for him to make his BIG entrance. We also know there is going to be a huge fight on an ice rink. Alaqua Cox shared a BTS picture from that scene that showed Maya wearing a purple costume and working with the Hawkeyes. What made her switch sides and turn on her “Uncle”? I’m guessing we’ll find out really soon.
As expected this last episode of Hawkeye, “Echoes”, has been the most explosive yet. The episode featured the car chase with all of the trick arrows, the introduction of Echo, the big tease of Kingpin, and Clint at the business end of his own Ronin sword. The episode also featured some less explosive, but equally important things like Clint and Kate finally finding some common ground. The two heroes seem like they are finally on the same page as we move into the second half of the show.
Part of Clint and Kate’s conversation was spent with him explaining to her that he isn’t a role model. Kate suspects that Ronin is someone close to Clint, but doesn’t quite seem to get that it is him. The fact that he hasn’t told her will cause a rift between the two when she finds out. The show is definitely going to get way more complicated in the next three episodes with Yelena Belova, who was teased in the new tv spot coming after Clint because she believes that he killed Natasha, coming into play; it is also likely that Kingpin will fully come in to play and make things a little harder for the Hawkeyes than the his foot soldiers have. It looks like it’s going to be a little harder for Clint to come home for Christmas.
Arlyn’s Assumptions
We know that Kate and Echo are going to face off and we know that Yelena is more of a Clint problem. It’s pretty common to see the partners split up and maybe these two will have to fight their own battles in the next episodes. If Clint and Jacques fight that will give Kate a bit of confirmation that he is exactly who she thought he was. It also might be time for Kingpin to make a grand entrance and seeing that he is huge his entrance has to be big.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid was Brady Noon’s first voice acting role and he did a great job. Throughout the movie his character had to deal with all of the emotions from happy to sad to angry to embarrassed I spoke to him earlier this week and asked him what his favorite scene was to record.
Probably when we (Greg and Rowley) were walking through the woods and we have our candy and all, like the high school kids, like pulled up on us and tried to take our candy and we were just running and yelling and screaming. So pretty much, that whole day, I was just yelling the whole day-laughs-that was pretty funny. That was a funny day.
I followed up by asking him if he was able to meet any of the other voice actors, to which Noon replied:

I’ve had quite a history withDiary of a Wimpy Kid. As a young kid, I read every book in the series created by Jeff Kinney. I’ve also seen the live-action movies, some of them several times each. I really liked the books in the sense that they made me laugh and just enjoy the characters. I really enjoyed the book The Long Haul because the Heffleys have a series of hilarious misadventures, including picking up a baby pig at a county fair. After having read many of the books, I was very excited to see the characters brought to life in the four live-action movies. Now, Kinney is bringing animated versions of his books to Disney+ in a series of short films beginning with Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid presents the events of the first story in an easy-to-watch 56-minute film. Swinton Scott, who has directed episodes of animated hits such as The Simpsons and Futurama, directed the film which was written and produced by Jeff Kinney. Kinney’s involvement kept the plot of the film almost identical to the book. The film introduces Greg Heffley, voiced by Brady Noon (Good Boys, The Mighty Ducks) and his best friend, Rowley, voiced by Ethan William Childress, as they learn the ropes of middle school. The animated film deals with many of the same themes as the book including, friendship, respect, maturing, and an unhealthy obsession with being popular. It’s a coming-of-age story that is full of humor and drives home lessons about what it means to be a true friend.
The book dials right into the friendship of Greg and Rowley and highlights Greg’s efforts to force Rowley into growing up so he doesn’t “embarrass him.” In this way, Greg is not a great friend. This aspect of their relationship is featured heavily in the movie. There is one particular scene that takes place at lunch where Rowley asks Greg if he wants to come over and play in the crowded cafeteria. This makes Greg feel embarrassed of Rowley because it’s not the “cool” way to say it (Rowley should’ve asked to hang out), showing an example of Greg’s obsession with being popular. This part makes me feel bad for Rowley because he is still a kid and Greg forces him into growing up so they can be cool. Greg behaves like that again when they are hanging out at Rowley’s house and Greg makes fun of him for having all of the childish stuff in his room like dinosaur bed sheets and stuffed animals. All of these scenes support the claim that Greg is not a great friend to Rowley.
The film’s animation brings the 2-D cartoons from the book into 3-D animation. The animation of the characters resembled the animation from the book very well, making it an easy film to watch. There were even some small touches to the animation that made the body language of the characters give off more emotion.
I felt connected to the characters. When Greg was mean to Rowley, I felt bad for Rowley and angry at Greg. I also found the film to be very funny. One scene, in particular, is when Rodrick, voiced by Hunter Dillon, was terrorizing Greg about how bad middle school will be by coming up with a bunch of unrealistic scenarios Greg’s reaction was hilarious and on point. And, of course, there’s the classic “cheese scene” that will always cause a laugh. While watching the film, I felt myself empathizing with different characters at different points in time, which is a win for the film. The voice cast really worked well and sold the emotion of the characters.
I really enjoyed the movie. In summary, it captures all the humor from the book but also includes an added focus on heartfelt moments that weren’t necessarily featured in the book. The Disney+ movie is an upgraded version of the already classic kid’s book. If the adaptations of the other books in the series are as emotionally stirring, I hope they adapt them all.

In the first two episodes of Hawkeye, “Never Meet Your Heroes” and “Hide and Seek” we saw Clint Barton trying to spend time with his kids in New York City after having lost them to the Snap and then getting them back. At the same time, we meet Kate Bishop, who is portrayed perfectly by Hailee Steinfeld, when she comes home to find out her mom is getting married to Jacques Duquesne, who Kate isn’t fond of. He tries so hard to shove himself into Kate’s life but she isn’t having and she is suspicious of Jacques and his mysterious ways. Kate gets into a little bit of trouble with the Tracksuit Mafia, forcing Clint to send his family home and bringing the two heroes, and the Pizza Dog, together.
This upcoming episode should belong to Maya Lopez, aka Echo. We met Echo, played by Alaqua Cox, in the last few seconds of “Hide and Seek” and while we don’t really know her all that well, we know is she is the boss of the Tracksuit Mafia. This episode should be more of an introduction for the character who is a very special character with some very special abilities. As we saw, Echo is deaf and can only feel vibrations and/or read lips, which kind of gives her something in common with Clint. She’s also a great martial artist and has some pretty interesting connections to some really interesting people. If we get to know more about Maya in this episode, it won’t be long before one of those people turns up.
Arlyn’s Assumptions
In this upcoming episode, I am very positive that Clint and Kate will escape. Wouldn’t be much of a Hawkeye show if they didn’t. Marvel has shown a lot of footage of the big car chase which I think has to be in one of the next two episodes. We’re also getting to the perfect opening where Yelena and Kingpin can come into the show, which I talked about last week. Yelena heard about Natasha and how she died and is out to kill Clint for “killing her.” It’s perfect timing for Yelena to get involved and complicate things even more. And as for Kingpin, it might be a little early for him but if Clint and Kate escape Echo and the Tracksuits, I don’t think he’ll be very happy, do you?
Will she or won’t she? Until Murphy’s Multiverse got the first look at Hailee Steinfeld on the set of Hawkeye last year, nobody knew if the actress was really going to play Kate Bishop or not. Now we know and it’s clear that Hailee Steinfield is a good representation of the Kate Bishop in the comics, so good, in fact, she’s not only an anchor point for this series but could be one for the future of the whole MCU.
Through the first two episodes of Hawkeye, Hailee Steinfield portrays Kate Bishop as a determined, outgoing, 22 year old. She has grown up idolizing Hawkeye because he saved her life in the battle of New York. Ever since then, she has been protective of her mother. Over the course of the first two episodes, you see Kate openly reject any attempts by her mom’s fiance, Jacque Duquesne, to bond with her while attempting to force herself into Clint’s life.
While her relationship with Clint is very similar in the comics, the death of her father is a change to the story that allows for her to connect with Clint on an even deeper level. If the Battle of New York would have never happened and her father wouldn’t have died, she wouldn’t have gotten so into archery and self-defense. The absence of her father has left her searching for someone to fill that role. While Jacque is all to happy to force himself into the role, Kate is more interested in forcing herself into that relationship with Clint. Daughters seek the acceptance of their fathers, but they don’t just want to be accepted without reason; they want to prove that they are worth accepting. This is what we see from Kate in the first two episodes: the refusal of one father figure’s empty gestures, in exchange for having to prove to Clint that she is worth accepting. Steinfeld is super believable in both those relationships, to the point where she could almost be playing two different characters.
Steinfeld’s talents as an actress allow this to resonate with the audience. There is a subtleness to her hatred towards Jacque even though she loves her mother. On the other hand, there is an over eagerness to her attempts to make Clint like her. In the first two episodes of the show, Hailee presents a character that is funny and outgoing. Even though her mom warned her to stay out of trouble, Kate’s stubbornness has gotten her into exactly that kind of trouble, which ironically involves her mom’s fiance and his family. Her stubborn determination led her into the scene of the murder of Armond and right into the crosshairs of the Tracksuit Mafia. In the end of episode two, Kate is in some serious trouble and we will have to wait and see if her personality traits will do anything other than get her in deeper and deeper trouble.
Even though her story has been changed from the comics, the stubborn determination the character has in the show comes straight from the pages of the Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung’sYoung Avengers and Matt Fraction and David Aja’sHawkeye. In the YoungAvengers Kate is always trying to help people and get things done efficiently. In Hawkeye, she is always curious and wanting to learn something new. Almost from the moment they meet, Hailee portrays the character as trying to learn from Clint, much to the displeasure of her unwilling mentor. In doing so she nails one after another of Kate’s key character traits. Steinfeld was a great choice for this role because, in my own opinion, she is very likeable and has a wide range of talents. I am looking forward to seeing Steinfeld continue to bring Kate to life in the MCU and become a key player in it.
Fans should be excited to see these first two episodes of Hawkeye because we haven’t seen Clint since Avengers: Endgame. The show is placed two years after the end of Endgame. Infinity War and Endgame were very hard on Clint. First, he lost his family due to the Snap. Then, he lost his mind and started killing criminals while taking on the identity of Ronin. Finally, in Endgame he lost his best friend. It would be nice for him to have a relaxing holiday with his family, but we all know that’s not going to happen.
The series will introduce Kate Bishop, a member of the Young Avengers in the comics and Clint’s partner in the Matt Fraction and David AjaHawkeye run. Kate, played by Hailee Steinfeld, has the potential to be a big part of the future of the MCU. The show will also introduce The Tracksuit Mafia, who you may know as the “Bros” in the comics (they just go around saying “Bro” all of the time, Bro). It is also introducing Echo to MCU, played by Alaqua Cox. Echo is a great character and, in the comics, is the adopted daughter of a character who is rumored to show up, but we’ll save that for later.

If you remember, Yelena Belova from Black Widow is also going to enter into the mix. She was told that Hawkeye killed Natasha and she is coming after him. Even though she was given some bad info and that she and Clint will get off to a rough start, I think they’ll eventually become friends once Clint explains to her what Nat really did. If you did not know Jacque Duquesne, Clint’s mentor in the comics, is also in the show. Maybe he will still have some loose ends with Clint that could explain those fancy sword skills Clint showed off in Endgame. And rumor has it that Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, is lurking in the shadows as the big boss behind the organized crime in New York, like the Tracksuits. As I hinted above, Fisk has a big role in Echo’s life and obviously would hint at other characters showing up soon as well. There’s really a lot going on here and a lot to sort out. Let’s get started!
This last episode of Loki was my favorite so far! In the void, four Lokis (Classic Loki, Kid Loki, Boastful Loki, and Alligator Loki) rescue Loki from Alioth and give him an explanation of what the wasteland is all about. Back at the TVA Sylvie tried to get Ravonna to help her find out who is running the show, but Ravonna lied to her and stalled for time until the Minutemen showed up. Rather than be arrested again Sylvie decided to delete herself and go to the wasteland. There, Loki had hatched a plan to destroy Alioth but President Loki showed up with his “army”, slowing down the process and showing the downside of being a Loki: the constant betrayals. In the middle of the fight Loki, Kid Loki, Classic Loki, and Alligator Loki escaped in hopes to get to Alioth. As they made their way through the void they ran into Sylvie, who was saved from Alioth by Mobius. Sylvie had her own plan to enchant the guard dog and Loki agreed to do this plan. Classic Loki sacrificed himself so Sylvie and Loki could get to the citadel.
During the period of time Loki was with the other Lokis, he was able to see the pros and cons of being a Loki. Classic Loki’s story hit the hardest as he explained how he came to understand while drifting in space after escaping Thanos, that pain followed him wherever he went, something Prime Loki wouldn’t be able to admit yet. Classic Loki also played a big part in helping Loki see how strong he actually is. When he created Asgard to distract Alioth, I remembered that Asgard was said to be the source of power for Hela and Thor in Ragnarok and after seeing Asgard again, Loki and Sylvie were able to enchant the guard dog. It was great to see Lokis working together, even though Classic Loki said they were just the God of Outcasts.
Arlyn’s Assumptions
When they get to the castle I think they will find that one version or another of Kang is behind the TVA. Sylvie’s whole plan is to kill the man behind the curtain, but is it Loki’s? I don’t want Loki to betray Sylvie, but knowing Loki, who betrayed his own family, it’s hard to believe he won’t. However, if the plan goes smoothly and the man in the castle dies at the hand of Sylvie, there will be no one to keep the Sacred Timeline safe, turning the MCU into a Multiverse of Madness.
