‘Marvel’s Avengers’ Leak Offers First Look at Donny Cates-Inspired Thor Design

Marvel’s Avengers has made a splash in its own way in the gaming industry with its first attempt at a Games-as-a-Service for the Marvel brand. If it achieved its goal it is hotly discussed, we still got a variety of skins that harken not only to the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also their comic roots. It looks like one of Thor’s most famous costumes from recent years is making its way to the game soon, as leaked by @mmmmmmmmiller.

The design is definitely not an easy one to translate, especially with the details of the stars on his outfit. It seems they kept most of the armor and leg pieces from other designs but added the visually striking chest piece which may even have the glow from the comics. As it looks like an unfinished model, we have to take into account that it’ll very likely still go through some tweaks.

It’s been great seeing the team expand with more comic-inspired designs, as many were quite focused on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ll soon also get the addition of Jane Foster’s Thor who’ll also come with her own set of new skins. So, we’ll see if we even get the Thor: Love and Thunder design at some point added into the game.

‘The Bob’s Burgers Movie’ Director on Teasing the Film’s Storyline With Easter Eggs in the Series

If you’ve ever wondered if the upcoming The Bob’s Burgers Movie was going to act as a standalone story that doesn’t connect to the series, it seems that the writers have purposefully hidden Easter eggs that build-up to its release. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that a crack was starting to grow just outside of their restaurant, and it was included to build-up up the sinkhole that is the main storyline for the film.

Director Bernard Derriman revealed that they definitely mapped out how the crack would continue to grow in the press conference. He highlights that it’ll reach its peak in the episode before the film hits theaters, highlighting more that viewers will be rewarded for checking out the latest episode before watching the film.

That’s from, well, obviously there’s a sinkhole. That’s not giving anything away. So, we had that plan once
we knew when the movie was coming out, we just started to work in this crack that gets bigger and bigger. It gets as big as it gets before the movie in this Sunday’s episode, actually.

    Bernard Derriman

It’s a clever little background detail that really cemented that they had this mapped out the moment they knew they got to make the movie. Not only does it also help solidify where it takes place in the overall series but also is something that long-time fans will feel rewarded for noticing going into the film. So, we’ll see if there are some other Easter eggs that they may have snuck in that connect to the film’s storyline.

  • Grace VanderWall on How Stargirl Has Changed Going into ‘Hollywood Stargirl’

Grace VanderWall on How Stargirl Has Changed Going into ‘Hollywood Stargirl’

Hollywood Stargirl is on the horizon which continues the film that released on Disney+ back in 2020. While the sequel continues where the previous left off with Stargirl and her mother movie across the nation, it does not, in fact, adapt the original sequel novel written by Jerry Spinelli. So, it gives its star Grace VanderWall the opportunity to shape the character in new ways together with director Julia Hart.

In the film’s press conference, VanderWall was asked what we can expect from Stargirl Calaway and how she may have changed from the last time we saw her a few years ago. It seems the biggest change, as with any coming-of-age story, is that she has matured and also takes a closer look at what it means to go on that journey into adulthood.

So, she’s still her but I think that the difference in this one is she’s just maturing and kind of defining that word of maturity and what it really means to her.

    Grace VanderWall

She also highlighted how “nerve-wracking” it was returning to the role, while also growing alongside her and how it helped her “appreciate and be honored even more to play her character.”

So, it was very nerve-wracking, but I just feel like I just slowly grow more and more love for her. And just so happy to get to play her and she, you know, she’s growing up. She’s seeing the world, and experiencing different things.

    Grace VanderWall

After being more of a main side character in the first Stargirl film, but she gets the spotlight this time around. We’ll see just how much she’s evolved and what Los Angeles has in store for her when Hollywood Stargirl releases on Disney+ on June 3rd, 2022.

  • Bad Bunny Shares What Inspired Him to Tackle the Sony Marvel Film ‘El Muerto’

Bad Bunny Shares What Inspired Him to Tackle the Sony Marvel Film ‘El Muerto’

Many were quite surprised when the announcement came that singer Bad Bunny is joining the Marvel universe. What caught everyone off-guard was that he was joining another of the many Spider-Man spinoffs that don’t feature the web-head and it would focus on one of his most obscure characters, El Muerto.

In an interview with GQ, Bad Bunny not only promoted his new album but also got a chance to share what inspired him to tackle the project and why he chose El Muerto as his character. As it turns out, his time growing up “watching wrestling” played a big part in the choice.

I grew up watching wrestling. This role is perfect, and I know ‘El Muerto’ is going to be epic. I’m a Marvel fan and the fact that I’m now part of this family still feels like a dream.

    Bad Bunny

It’s definitely going to be interesting how they tackle this project and if it may generally be a more self-contained story and not build up to a crossover, which was hinted at in the post-credit sequence of Morbius. There are still many questions surrounding what exactly Sony’s goal is with his franchise, and here’s hoping that it becomes a bit more clear in the near future.

  • REPORT: Sony Developing ‘Horizon’ and ‘Gran Turismo’ TV Series

REPORT: Sony Developing ‘Horizon’ and ‘Gran Turismo’ TV Series

Sony has been hard at work on adapting some of its most iconic franchises. In March, we heard that they were working on a God of War series together with Amazon Prime, but not much has come from that project since. Now, during their Investor Relations, Sony has not only confirmed that the series is being developed but also added two more to that list.

The biggest surprise is that they are seemingly working on a Horizon adaptation with Netflix, which is perfect timing piggybacking off of the success of Horizon: Forbidden West released not too long ago. That is not all, as they are also currently developing a Gran Turismo series, but there was no home mentioned for this adaptation. So, it is likely still being pitched currently.

There’s no word how far along these projects are, but it sounds like they are just getting started if they don’t have any talent currently attached. Horizon adaptation makes quite a bit of sense given the story of Aloy traversing a post-apocalyptic world filled with robotic animals. Yet, Gran Turismo is a curious one as it’s mostly a driving simulator. Perhaps they’ll use this concept to have a racing-type series but just use the branding. We’ll see if more details head our way in the near future.

  • ‘Dominion’s Colin Trevorrow Wants Bryce Dallas Howard to Direct a ‘Jurassic World’ Film

‘Dominion’s Colin Trevorrow Wants Bryce Dallas Howard to Direct a ‘Jurassic World’ Film

Bryce Dallas Howard has been a popular choice to direct a good amount of films ever since she made a splash with her work on The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. She’s become a frontrunner for many to tackle a new film in the Star Wars franchise, but also has become a popular choice to potentially tackle a Marvel Studios film.

Yet, Jurassic World Dominion director Colin Trevorrow wants her to take on a sequel to Jurassic World, as revealed in an interview with Variety where he highlights that he wants to tackle the franchise.

She knows I want that, so I’m not going to pretend. Bryce actually can direct whatever she wants, and if she would ever make that choice to come and make a Jurassic movie, we would consider that a tremendous privilege for us.

    Colin Trevorrow

Howard has left quite the impact in the industry behind and in front of the camera. It’s interesting to see Trevorrow also look for someone to potentially carry on the franchise, as he’ll likely want to tackle other projects after wrapping up work on the third entry of Jurassic World. As the series pushes to dinosaurs co-existing with humanity, it would be interesting to see how they might continue the franchise and what unique vision Howard might bring to the series.

  • New Set Video Shows Blue Beetle in Action

New Set Video Shows Blue Beetle in Action

Just yesterday, we got our first look at the fantastic design of Blue Beetle’s first live-action costume. The DC film has been busy filming some action sequences with actor Xolo Mariduena wearing the costume. It looks like that wasn’t all just yet, as the Daily Mail has also shared some new set videos from that same sequence, which gives us a closer look at what the young hero Jaime Reyes is up to.

We theorized that the day shots might be while the young hero is trying his best to get a grip of his abilities. It’s not every day that you have an alien beetle just attached to your spine and giving you abilities that are far beyond your human understanding. Going by the video, it seems that he has accidentally landed in someone’s car, as he jumps out and swiftly apologizes for destroying it.

It’ll be interesting to see if we’ll also spend time with Reyes in school, as we’re seeing a rise in young superheroes trying to balance their school life with acting like a superhero in their off time. Marvel Studios will soon release Ms. Marvel with a young heroine who will tackle the same issue. So, it seems like a new and young generation is about to enter the world of superheroes.

  • Seth Green to Replace Jim Gaffigan as Thunderbolt in ‘Stargirl’ Season 3

Seth Green to Replace Jim Gaffigan as Thunderbolt in ‘Stargirl’ Season 3

Here’s a sad surprise, it looks like Seth Green is taking over as the voice of Thunderbolt in the third season of CW’s Stargirl series from Jim Gaffigan. TVLine has broken the news that the wish-granting genie will have a new voice actor, but no reason is given on why exactly he was recast. He only voiced the character in a few scenes of the second season and it may be that he has a larger role going into the third.

Jakeem (Alkoya Brunson) is the wielder of the mysterious pink pen that Thunderbolt exists in. He helped the team of unlikely heroes and a reestablished Justice Society of America to take down the threat that was Eclipso. Green is no stranger to voice acting, as he has been a long-time member of the Family Guy voice cast, and worked on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H and Guardians of the Galaxy series.

It’s sad to see Gaffigan leave the production, as he’s always a great addition to any project but with the role potentially growing, it could be that he had other projects lined up and just couldn’t return. Still, Green is a great get for the series, and given the supernatural origin of the genie, they could play around with the fact that he has a new voice every season as a fun running gag.
