SDCC: Marvel Debuts New ‘She-Hulk’ Trailer

With She-Hulk: Attorney at Law set to debut on Disney+ in August, Marvel Studios has debuted a new trailer for the series. The trailer was unveiled during the studio’s presentation at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.

The new trailer, which can be seen below, should ease concerns fans had regarding the CGI in the show. She-Hulk‘s overall look is much cleaner than in the first trailer, and her comic’s accurate costume is on full display.

Joining Maslany in She-Hulk are Mark Ruffalo, who returns as Brace Banner/Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Benedict Wong is also confirmed to reprise his role as Wong in the series.

She-Hulk‘s first season, which consists of 9 episodes, will premiere on Disney+ on August 17th. Like with the other shows, She-Hulk will follow a weekly release plan.

SDCC: New ‘She-Hulk’ Promotional Poster Let’s You Call Jennifer Walters

Step aside Matt Murdock, the best lawyer in the Marvel Universe is about to make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. We are just a few weeks away from the premiere of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Marvel Studios is giving Jennifer Walters the spotlight she deserves at San Diego Comic-Con, with promotions for the series littered around every corner in San Diego.

In the actual convention center, fans will be able to stumble across a photo-op for the upcoming series featuring the series logo atop a pile of rubble and a wall that looks as if She-Hulk herself had sprung into action and lept through it. It also seems like a fun tribute to the iconic comic panel where she ripped through the comic pages.

Perhaps the most creative part of the series promotion is a poster being found around the con. The poster works as an ad for Jennifer Walter’s superhero legal representation and at the bottom list, a phone number and the slogan “I go green, so you get green.” And the best part is, that the number actually works. Fans can call the number and once they pick up they’ll be greeted by Jennifer Walters apologizing because she wasn’t able to take your call, and then proceeding to hulk-out to record the rest of the ad.

She makes a few fun references to characters like Iron Man, having lost control of a sentient robot that threatened all life on earth, and even Thor who leaves Bifrost sigils burned into every surface he teleports from. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is surely in for a treat this weekend as the series is likely to have a major presence at this Saturday’s big Marvel Studios Hall H panel.

  • ‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’ Set to Premiere with a Single Episode

‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’ Set to Premiere with a Single Episode

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the next Marvel Studios streaming series headed for Disney Plus, with its August 17th premiere just around the corner. Like Marvel Studios’ first streaming series, WandaVision, She-Hulk consists of nine episodes; unlike WandaVision, however, She-Hulk will not make its debut with multiple episodes.

According to an official Disney release, She-Hulk will debut with a single episode on August 17th, meaning it will likely have a nine-week run that will conclude on October 12th. Other than WandaVision, only Hawkeye, which was released during the holiday season, has premiered to more than one episode.

It is expected that their will be a heavy dose of She-Hulk at SDCC ’22, including a new trailer for the series and an appearance by several cast members. Tatiana Maslany leads the series as Jen Walters/She-Hulk, the cousin of Bruce Banner who gains some of the powers of the Hulk after a blood transfusion. Ginger Gonzaga, Jameela Jamil and Charlie Cox are among the supporting cast of the show, which will be a legal comedy reminiscent of Ally McBeal, among others

RUMOR: ‘She-Hulk’ May Include a ‘Fantastic Four’ Cameo

It looks like an old rumor may have gotten a second wind. DisInsider has shared some interesting details for the upcoming release of She-Hulk. While details on the series are still quite scarce outside of its main lead, it seems a member of the Fantastic Four could appear.

Now, keep in mind that we’ll have to take this with a grain of salt but it is interesting that this rumor has appeared in the pst. According to DisInsider’s Rumor of the Week, they have heard that The Thing may appear in the upcoming Disney+ series.

That is not all, as they also believe that Jason Segel, who many will remember for his time on How I Met Your Mother, is playing Ben Grimm. They do highlight they aren’t sure if this is connected to the upcoming Fantastic Four film or potentially the multiverse.

Either way, we’ll have to take it with a grain of salt and who knows if they’ll even introduce him as Ben Grimm or as the stone man himself. With the recent teases of mutants arriving, it’s surprising we haven’t gotten a Fantstic Four one yet so perhaps the time has come.

  • ‘She-Hulk’ Director Expected the Reaction to the Disney+ Series’ VFX

‘She-Hulk’ Director Expected the Reaction to the Disney+ Series’ VFX

There have recently been some statements from employees working on Marvel Studios’ projects highlighting they let the industry. There always has been a certain level of complaint in regards to Marvel’s use of effects work that has become a recurring theme on Twitter for one reason or another. She-Hulk, the first Disney+ series with a fully VFX-created character, has drawn in quite the attention. Director Kat Coiro offered some insight into how they tackled the project and sat down with SFX to discuss the internet’s reaction.

Surprisingly, she stated that they’ve expected the reaction, especially with how different the character is from Hulk or other CG characters. In the comics, she originally was meant to not just be a bulky version of Jennifer Walters, but rather highlight a different aspect of the character. It’s something that they wanted to highlight with her design.

It really is taking the design and asking, ‘Are we getting those facial expressions and those nuances of reaction I think a lot of the reactions have to do with the fact that she is so different than anything we’ve seen. When you think of Thanos or Hulk, they have a grisliness and a harshness and a bulkiness to them that is just so different. And when you just see a little pop of her, it’s almost shocking because we haven’t seen it before.

    Kat Coiro

Coiro reveals that she worked quite closely with Victoria Alonso, who is Marvel Studios’ President of Physical, Post Production, VFX, and Animation at Marvel Studios to bring She-Hulk to life. She highlights how they approached the character and ensured that they keep the emotional reaction and the actor’s performance alive through the effects work.

She has such an incredible eye, and to me a lot of that eye comes from this very emotional gut reaction that she has, which is backed by decades of technical expertise,” she explains. What I think is so cool is she keeps this real emotional reaction to the VFX. Watching her work has taught me so much about why something works and why it doesn’t; why does it go into uncanny valley? And it always comes back to the actor’s performance and capturing that.

    Kat Coiro

We haven’t gotten a new trailer since the initial release, which has been curious considering it’s set to premiere next month. While some still want the series to be postponed for them to continue working on the effects, we’ll have to wait and see how far they’ve gotten with the effects work. Corridor Digital, a YouTube channel of experts that famously analyzes VFX in the industry, has highlighted that the effects work isn’t getting the recognition it would deserve as well as how YouTube played a big factor in downgrading its quality.

Newly Leaked ‘She-Hulk’ Promo Offers First Full Look at Comic-Inspired Outfit

We’ve gotten quite a few looks at the upcoming series She-hulk, which will see Tatiana Maslany take on the role of Bruce Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters. While we already had a trailer, Marvel and Disney have been quite coy about showing the full design for the character’s comic-inspired design. We did get a glimpse through some promo art, but a new set as shared by @MCU_Facility may have given us our best look yet at what her full design will look like.

It’ll be interesting to see what the design looks like in live-action but there’s an interesting design concept going on here. The visuals are much more flashy and might be used to highlight her home to also add some color instead of just going with a simple lawyer concept. The last version of the logo seemingly jumped into that direction before they shifted gears once again.

With some time before the series releases and we’re anxiously awaiting a second trailer that shows how far the CG has gone since the first reveal. Corridor Digital has recently highlighted the quality of the work done on the character, especially in contrast to how the internet has reacted. So, we’ll see how much legwork the second trailer is going to have to make up for.

  • ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ To Have Amie Doherty as Composer

‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ To Have Amie Doherty as Composer

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has found its composer.

Amie Doherty will be the composer for the upcoming Marvel Studios series on Disney+, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Some of Doherty’s work includes Spirit Untamed, Undone, Happiest Season, The High Note, Battle at Big Rock, and Here and Now.

The series will be the studios’ first foray into legal dramas and features Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner, as she traverses through her life as a single attorney in her 30s — all while she deals with being a green six-foot-seven-inch superpowered being. Mark Ruffalo will guest star as Smart Hulk. Tim Roth also makes his return as the Abomination after a brief appearance in Shang-Chi.

Jameela Jamil, Josh Segarra, Ginger Gonzaga, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry also star in the nine-episode series.

Jessica Gao served as the head writer on the show. She is also listed as an executive producer on the project alongside Marvel Studios titans Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Brad Winderbaum. Also earning an executive producer credit is Kat Coiro who directed episodes of the series along with Anu Valia.

Additionally, Doherty will be a participant in the film/TV composer panel Musical Anatomy of a Superhero at San Diego Comic-Con later this month. One can hope that she will briefly discuss her role on the series there.

  • New ‘She-Hulk’ Image Offers New Look at Jameela Jamil’s Titania

New ‘She-Hulk’ Image Offers New Look at Jameela Jamil’s Titania

All eyes have been on She-Hulk‘s designs and the execution of a full CG character for a Disney+ series. While the discussion has the usual Twitter debate nature, there’s still something special about what the project has to offer especially as it was teased as an absurd take on legal series by its main star Tatiana Maslany. Yet, we’ve only been teased with the addition of Jameela Jamil‘s Titania as the series villain.

The latest issue of Empire includes a few segments on the upcoming Disney+ series. Yet, what stands out is that it gives us our first real close-up of Jamil‘s take on Titania. Unlike her green counterpart, her design is seemingly more grounded though we also don’t know if this is her powered up.

Titania usually is also a hulking individual with a more bodybuilding-inspired design. It’ll be interesting to see if we just meet her in her powered form or if we also witness her transformation into the one to take on She-Hulk. Generally, we don’t know how she’ll connect to the overarching story, as it does seem a bit disconnected from the transformation.

Perhaps a new group of powered individuals pops up which also leads to the requirement of a new powered individual-focused legal department. Department of Damage Control going haywire after anyone with ability would also open up the requirement for someone being able to get represented. Who knows, perhaps the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home may have also added to the necessity; if people remembered.

  • Tatiana Maslany Promises ‘She-Hulk’ is an “Absurd Take on a Legal Show”

Tatiana Maslany Promises ‘She-Hulk’ is an “Absurd Take on a Legal Show”

She-Hulk is only a few more weeks away until it releases on Disney+. The first teaser already promised a more comedic story set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe; perfectly timed with the romantic comedy Thor Love and Thunder finding its way into theaters this week. According to its star, Tatiana Maslany in an interview with Empire Magazine, the Disney+ series is going to be a “really absurd take on a legal show.”

While she still doesn’t give away any details, it does seem like her heroic clientele will be quite interesting to watch. So, we might get our first look at some of them in the build-up to the series’ release on Disney+ in August.

She’s in a career that’s male-dominated and incredibly vicious and hierarchal. When she’s heading this superhuman firm, that’s where we get some really fun characters that she’s either defending or in opposition of. It’s like this really absurd take on a legal show.

    Tatiana Maslany

It’ll be the first legal show in the MCU, which also opens up the arrival of other superheroic lawyers to take the stand. Daredevil has been heavily rumored to appear, and it would seem likely this is where he makes his next appearance after Charlie Cox returned to the role in a brief cameo during Spider-Man: No Way Home. Who knows who else might require She-Hulk’s consultancy on a legal matter, but whoever it might end up being, we’ll likely see some interesting new faces appear.

  • ‘She-Hulk’ Star Teases Disney+ Series as the “Antithesis” of Superhero Narratives

‘She-Hulk’ Star Teases Disney+ Series as the “Antithesis” of Superhero Narratives

There’s been quite the discussion surrounding the release of the She-Hulk trailer. While one part of thee internet enjoyed its humor and promise of a legal comedy through the eyes of a superhero world, many others were mainly focused on the CG. Still, the Disney+ series has a massive star at the forefront with Tatiana Maslany, who offered a tease of what’s heading our way with the latest addition to Disney+’s growing repertoire.

She highlights what makes She-Hulk’s story so interesting is how she’s an “antithesis of most superhero narratives” Maslany teases that the two personalities will be at odds, especially as Jennifer Walters tries to deny the Hulk within her subconscious.

She really is the antithesis of most superhero narratives. There’s this great element of denial in her that’s relatable. For me, it was about rejecting what’s happened for as long as I could, as that’s what causes the fun tension between Jennifer and She-Hulk.

    Tatiana Maslany

There actually was some merchandise that teased that the upcoming series may explore their dual personality which is very likely at odds throughout its showrun. So, some of the comedy may come from her losing control while She-Hulk enjoys her new freedom. Perhaps we even get to explore the concept of the Green Door or generally what is the true cause for the Hulking transformation. It’s all just speculation but with Ms. Marvel slowly coming to an end, eyes are already shifting towards the next project.
