At this rate, we#re going to see Spider-Man everywhere. Twitter user @dominic_kravitz shared a new promo for Spider-Man: No Way Home that advertises a new toy for dogs from the brand BARK. In it, we get a pretty cool visual (that should’ve been one of the posters) with Spider-Man in the forefront of a Daily Bugle newspaper. Yet, once you start looking closer some things don’t quite add up as the Now, what stands out is that the version of Daily Bugle is showcased in the version used in Tobey Maguire‘s run as the character. Ironically, if you take a closer look, the head of Maguire’s Spider-Man suit is hidden away in the far right corner once again adding to the discussion of his eventual appearance. His costume certainly matches with Maguires due to the heavy emphasis of the costume’s webbing. It’s a staple of his costume and even stands out in a black and white image. Just yesterday, we already had a tease in the form of the latest TV Spot, where Doctor Strange goes out of his way to confirm that Doc Ock doesn’t recognize Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker outside of his suit. So, the evidence is continuing to grow about his appearance and we’re only a few more weeks away until the third entry of MCU’s take on the web crawler releases in theaters. Let’s see if Sony continues to tease us in the coming weeks. Still no sign of Andrew Garfield though.

Latest ‘No Way Home’ Spot Teases Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man
Spider-Man: No Way home is probably the film with the least secrets at this point. Most of the villains have been leaked quite sometime before we even got a trailer, but the uncertainty about what is and what isn’t fake kept many speculating. The latest trailer did give us a clearer picture of the sinister threat Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man is about to face, it also gave us our first reference to “another” Spider-Man due to Alfred Molina‘s Doc Ock realizing he’s attacking a different one. There was quite an emphasis on that moment and the latest spot by Sony even kicks-off by once again hinting at there being a different Spider-Man. In a way, it seems that they are trying to offer more hints on the appearance of Tobey Maguire in the upcoming threequel.
It isn’t a coincidence that Sony is going out of their way for this exchange between Octavius and Doctor Strange. Plus, if this scene remains in the film, it’ll likely act as a set-up. The question still remains how or when they might show up, as there hasn’t been an official tease of the also long-rumored appearance of Andrew Garfield‘s Peter Parker. Some of his villains are included with Lizard and Elektro proudly showcased in the last trailer. So, perhaps we get a line that’ll tease his appearance in another trailer. We don’t know if Lizard has kept some humanoid aspects. It’s likely that Elektro might highlight his despising of spider-themed superheroes.

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’s The Daily Bugle Gets an Official TikTok Account
Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s marketing is in full force, as they’ve created an entire TikTok channel for the in-universe Daily Bugle. Not just that, fellow Midtown High student, Angourie Rice‘s Betty Brant, is the service’s new intern and will host various videos alongside J.K. Simmons‘ J. Jonah Jameson. It’s a clever way to advertise the upcoming film without showing too much footage. It’s similar in style to when they created videos ahead of Ant-Man’s release that is from the in-universe news channel WHIH Newsfront. You can check out the TikTok account by clicking here. @BrandonDavisBD also uploaded the pic featuring Brant’s introduction on Twitter which you can check out here:
It’s quite a clever idea to advertise the film and its in-universe events. Sadly, the WHIH concept only ran for a limited time and wasn’t recurringly brought back. It would be great to see the Daily Bugle be a recurring element in the MCU’s future. Betty Brant’s addition is also a great touch, as she is famously part of the news organization in the comics. So, it’ll be interesting to see if she has a future with the company moving forward and there is even a reference to it in the upcoming No Way Home film.

Latest ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Teaser Features Elektro with an Arc Reactor
There are quite a few interesting details once you start looking at some of the latest TV spots in detail. Marvel Studios is famous for including small references that tie together the Marvel Cinematic Universe in creative ways. Well, it looks like @cosmic_marvel has noticed quite a remarkable detail in one of the latest Spider-Man: No Way Home teasers, as we get our best look yet at Jamie Foxx‘s Elektro. Yet, the big part is that we get a closer look at his new costume and what is probably powering his energy flux, an Iron Man-esque arc reactor.
He’s not the only classic Spider-Man villain getting a Stark upgrade, as we recently learned how Doc Ock gets his new and improved arms in the second trailer release. We can clearly see that the Iron Spider suit is damaged and during the bridge fight he’ll get his upgrade. As such, it might be easy to assume that Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker has one somewhere in his upgraded suit. So, perhaps Doc Ock gets his hands on it and upgrades Elektro with it to make him a bigger threat. It would be similar to what Octavius does in the 2018 Spider-Man game.
Of course, there’s also the chance that he steals it from a Stark lab somewhere. Tony built a giant one underwater to power the city and his suits are probably still around somewhere. Perhaps one was included in a museum, similar to that of Captain America, and he steals it to get a much-needed upgrade. Who knows how little control he has over his powers and that is why he requires the suit upgrade.

More ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ TV Spots Offers New Footage of Spidey vs. Doc Ock
It looks like the Spider-Man: No Way Home marketing is in full force by Sony, as not only was a TV spot found online featuring a closer look at Lizard, we also got two more that offer a closer look at the fight between Spidey and Alfred Molina‘s return as Doc Ock. The first features are quite a bit more of the bridge fight that we saw, as Doc Ock faces off against Spider-Man not realizing it isn’t the one he knows, which is perfectly highlighted by PeteR’s confusion asking who he is. So, it confirms that Peter has no idea that his actions unleashed villains from other universes.
There’s a fun nod with Doc Ock feeling a bit jealous about Spidey also having additional legs of his own. It’s so interesting seeing him come out of the car with them and it’ll be interesting how they might get used in the battle sequence. It gives him a way to counter his multi-limbed enemy but the trailer does tease that his new nemesis will have the advantage at one point in the fight, as we see his Iron Spider suit damaged at one point.
We’ve seen Green Goblin on the same bridge, which makes you wonder if he perhaps is the one that tips the scale in advantage for Molina‘s returning character. We’re only a few weeks away from it finally releasing, so here’s hoping that they’ll keep the rest of the film under lock and key. Who knows what other surprises are still heading our way once the film finally releases.

New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ TV Spot Offers Closer Look at Lizard
It looks like they finally kicked off the marketing campaign for Spider-Man: No Way Home, as a new TV spot has been found that teases the upcoming film. Even better, it includes new footage such as more of the teased Happy Hogan sequence and some dialogue from J. Jonah Jameson. Yet, the highlight is that it also gave us our best look yet at The Amazing Spider-Man‘s Lizard, who only had a brief cameo as part of a group shot in the second trailer. Twitter user @spiderbruv shared the footage from the new TV spot.
It’s great that they are sticking to the Amazing Spider-Man design, as it makes the character easier recognizable as part of that specific universe. It does open up the question of whether these characters will ever make an appearance later down the line with more comic-accurate designs, but it would make for an interesting conflict for Peter. He knows what happened to them in other dimensions, which means he will try his best to make sure it doesn’t happen yet his Parker Luck might lead them down the same path either way.
We’re still a few weeks away from the official release, and we’ll see how much more footage might find its way online. They’ve pretty much revealed all the villains that’ll take on our favorite wall-crawler. So, they might try to stick to what they have, or else they might spoil too much. Sony is infamous for overmarketing its offerings, which hopefully won’t be the case this time.

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Early Forecast Eyeing $500M+ Worldwide Opening
We’ve all been wondering if Spider-Man: No Way Home might be the first film to break the current curse the box office is facing with the pandemic. We’re far away from where we were back in 2019 but there’s a lot of hope that it may be our first film to pass the one billion mark at the worldwide box office. Its December release could also add a nice push, as the Star Wars franchise changed its potential and it became a popular hot spot for big releases. Its sentiment rankings are trending ahead of Avengers: Endgame and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It also helped that the first trailer release garnered 355.5 million views within just 24 hours ahead of some of the franchise’s biggest. As such, the long forecast has the film eyeing an international release between $375M to $525M.
That means that domestically, it’s currently on route to near a $200M opening. This is quite noteworthy if you consider that no film has opened past the $100M mark since before the pandemic. For now, its prediction sets it between $135M to $185M. Its critical reception, as seen with Eternals, and general marketing push could push it even further, as Venom: Let There Be Carnage dips into the same target audience and managed to pass expectations by quite a bit.
Keep in mind, these are early predictions that offer a feeling for where the film might potentially be heading. We’re still about a month out and some countries are adding quarantine restrictions once again that could hamper its box office in specific countries. Yet, it‘s eyeing a release in China, which will give the film an extra boost. It seems unlikely it might reach the $2 billion mark but it might be the first one to break through the pandemic.

New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer Reveals the Origin of Doc Ock’s Stark Tech Upgrade
The latest Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer has finally arrived. It offered a clearer look at the returning villains from across the multiverse that’ll make the life of Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker a living hell. Alfred Molina‘s Doc Ock took most of the focus in the earlier promotion and we even had a tease that he might get an upgrade to his iconic arms at some point. Well, the latest trailer may have given us a clear insight into how he got his hands on it and it’s actually been in our voice the entire time.

When we first saw the upgrade, its red and golden lighting made everyone make the connection to Tony Stark’s Iron Man. So, we thought that perhaps he stole technology from Stark Technologies, but the answer may have been simpler than we assumed. It actually was in our face the entire time since the first trailer’s release. When Peter faces off against Doc Ock, he is wearing his Iron Spider suit from Avengers: Infinity War.
In a brief sequence, we see the suit’s nanotech reveal his face. It turns out the reasoning is simple, part of his chest piece was ripped out. So, just like with Iron Man’s suit, it had to adapt, or else he would’ve broken more than just a few ribs. There’s also a great detail of his tie also hanging out as we know he was wearing a suit before he put on the armor.

The way it also spreads in the trailer hints at the fact that it is the same nano-technology. It’s unclear how exactly he manages to take over the technology so the suit adapts to him, but we get a hint that his arms have regained their sentience. So, they might’ve “hacked” into the suit and managed to steal some elements while Peter was wrapped by his arms, which we saw in some of the promotional material. It’ll be interesting to see how his upgrade might tie into the film’s overarching narrative.

Tom Holland Open to Pass the Torch in a Miles Morales Film After ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’
Actor Tom Holland has been quite vocal about playing the role of Spider-Man for as long as he can. He’s already been playing the character for six years across three solo films and other franchises, such as Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Not every actor can play a character forever but it seemed like he was certainly open to it. In an interview with GQ, he seemed to have opened up on his future in the role and passed the torch after Spider-Man: No Way Home to someone playing Miles Morales at one point in the MCU’s future.
Maybe it is time for me to move on. Maybe what’s best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life. If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong
The statement is a bit ironic if you consider that Tobey Maguire played the character in Spider-Man 3 when he was around 31 years old and Andrew Garfield was 30 during the production of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2013. So, it’s not too uncommon someone played the character in their 30s. Especially with their rumored return in the upcoming film, perhaps he’s also taking a little jab at the actors for fun.
Still, the potential of Miles Morales taking over the role of Spider-Man isn’t unreasonable. He was briefly teased in a past film, but it would be hasty to rush out a production right after No Way Home. It would be great to take the route from the Insomniac games, as Spidey takes on the mentor role and passes on everything he learned rather than just a quick farewell. We’ll see what they might have planned for the character once the third entry finally releases.

Some Key Actors Hadn’t Signed On Yet Ahead of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Production Start
There are countless rumors surrounding who may or may not appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The latest trailer at least confirmed the appearance of the various villains that have been hinted at for over a year. Of course, we can’t forget the rumors of former Spider-Man actors, Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield, having a role in the story.
While enough has leaked and hinted at it, Sony still is playing coy on their appearance. In a new interview with GQ, Tom Holland shared that production was extremely dependent on everyone signing on without confirming who exactly he is referencing.
Some people were trying to figure out whether they wanted to do it, and we needed all of them or none.
Tom HollandHolland highlighted that a lot of the film had to be rewritten, especially with the pandemic postponing the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Still, they somehow managed to pull it off and the actor is certainly extremely excited for everyone to see what they managed to put together. We might not know how many of the rumors are true until the film finally releases in around a month, but the teases we got does seem quite promising for what the future has in store for the MCU’s version of Spider-Man.
