  • ‘No More Heroes 3’ Officially Delayed Until 2021

‘No More Heroes 3’ Officially Delayed Until 2021

Nintendo has been facing quite a lot of troubles this year. Its original release schedule has been cut down quite a bit. Especially now that everyone is forced to work remotely. Super Mario’s 35th anniversary was delayed by almost four months. It now looks like another Nintendo exclusive game will face a similar challenge. Grasshopper Manufacture has officially announced that No More Heroes 3 is officially delayed until 2021.  The game was revealed during The Game Awards back in 2019. The information has been rather sparse on the game’s production outside of the original trailer. All we know was that it was eyeing a release in 2020.

As sad as the constant delays are, the health of everyone involved in the production should always be a top priority. It is good to see that director Goichi Suda has made a difficult decision with the best interest of his team in mind. Originally, we were supposed to get a full reveal of the gameplay in the last few months. The advantage of the delay means they can use this time to polish the game. There is no need to rush it out. Hidden within this update they also revealed that The Boys’ Darick Robertson joined the project. This is great news, as they also teased some upcoming illustrations of the game. Robertson‘s unique style will add to the ever-flashy world of No More Heroes.

  • ‘Gods & Monsters’ New Title Confirmed Alongside First Look at Gameplay

‘Gods & Monsters’ New Title Confirmed Alongside First Look at Gameplay

Ubisoft Forward has returned for another round of gaming reveals. The event started off with the confirmation that Gods & Monsters has truly been retitled Immortals: Fenyx Rising. It also comes alongside some official gameplay that finally confirms what we can expect from the game. It teases a very colorful Greece invested with monsters.

We see our heroine Fenyx using various abilities inspired by the Greek Gods she is saving to overcome a variety of obstacles. The teaser teases a confrontation with Medusa, Harpies, Minotaurs, and many more to come. It has changed quite a bit since the initial reveal trailer but it looks like a promising open-world game by Ubisoft. Prometheus, Hermes, and Zeus have been confirmed to show up in the game. Prometheus and Zeus are also the narrators of your story. We also got a tease of the gameplay during the event.

An interesting reveal is that Fenyx can be customized by the player. The game looks like it will be a combination of Legend of Zelda puzzle solving with a stronger focus on combat. They also confirmed that the game will release December 3rd, and will be available on Stadia. This will also receive its own exclusive demo with a unique island to explore.

  • Hulu’s ‘M.O.D.O.K.’ Confirmed for New York Comic-Con

    Hulu’s ‘M.O.D.O.K.’ Confirmed for New York Comic-Con

Not going to lie, I thought this project was canceled the moment Marvel TV was taken over by Marvel Studios. Yes, the official M.O.D.O.K. Twitter account has shared a logo and confirmed it will be present at New York Comic-Con. It is crazy to think that from all the announced Hulu Offenders series, this one still managed to survive. There is a good chance that they’ve already invested enough that they couldn’t pull the plug. There was no news on the show’s status with most of us believing it was another axed project once Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige took over creative control to focus more on their Marvel Cinematic Universe expansion into Disney+. Well, it looks like the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing will still get his own show.

All we know about this show is that Patton Oswalt will voice the iconic character. George Tarleton was an AIM scientist who underwent experimentation that aimed to make him smarter. This ended up enlarging his head to a freakish size. It forced him to be restricted to a floating chair, which became a part of his iconic look. He first appeared as a cameo in 1967’s Tales of Suspense #93. The character just recently became the main antagonist for the main campaign of Marvel’s Avengers, where he was voiced by Usman Ally. He has been featured in quite a lot of games, such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, Marvel vs. Captom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, and countless others. Really curious how they wrote a show around a giant-headed supervillain. Hope we get a trailer and release date revealed at NYCC.

  • Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride ‘The Walking Dead’ Spin-Off Greenlight by AMC

Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride ‘The Walking Dead’ Spin-Off Greenlight by AMC

Crazy to think that The Walking Dead will end in 2022. As AMC’s most popular show, it seemed like nothing could take it down. It had built up quite the cast over the years featuring Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Michael Rooker, Josh McDermitt, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and many more. It was so popular, it already has two spin-offs. Fear the Walking Dead is about to enter its sixth season with The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere after the tenth season finale. Well, it’s getting one more show that will continue beyond the events of the finale. The original show’s showrunner Angela Kang is set to expand the universe, which will focus on Melissa McBride‘s Carol Peletier and Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon. AMC Chief Operating Officer Ed Carroll shared the enthusiasm for this project.

We can’t wait to bring viewers this expanded final season of ‘The Walking Dead’ over the next two years, and launch the fourth series in the history of the franchise, focused on the beloved Daryl and Carol characters, with the incredibly talented Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Angela Kang and Scott M. Gimple. There really is so much ‘walking’ ahead, in a number of very exciting directions, for this extraordinary creative universe we call ‘The Walking Dead.’

That is not all, as they are currently also working on a project titled Tales of the Walking Dead that would work as an episodic anthology. Each episode or arc will focus on new, or even existing characters. This way they can explore the lives of past survivors, and still continue expanding upon this franchise. Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple is developing this project and teased that they are also working on a variety of projects that are set in this universe. So, even as the main series ends, we haven’t seen the last of The Walking Dead any time soon.

  • ‘The Walking Dead’ Officially Ending in 2022

‘The Walking Dead’ Officially Ending in 2022

If there was any series that seemed like it would air forever it was The Walking Dead. It had a rich history to pull from and already started splintering off. The juggernaut franchise was a mainstay for AMC as its most popular show. The series was based on Robert Kirkman‘s comic that ended back in 2019. Now, the series will officially end its run in 2022 with a final eleventh season. AMC confirms that the season will run for 24 episodes. Chief Content Officer Scott Gimple sharing his sentiment on what made the series such an important as

It’s been ten years gone by; what lies ahead are two more to come and stories and stories to tell beyond that. What’s clear is that this show has been about the living, made by a passionate cast, team of writer/producers, producers, and crew, bringing to life the vision put forth by Robert Kirkman in his brilliant comic — and supported by the best fans in the world.

The show’s tenth season will air it’s finally on October 4th. This will be followed directly by the spin-off premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond. This spin-off will take place ten years after the apocalypse and explore the story of those that grew up in this world. Fear the Walking Dead is also set to premiere its sixth season the following week. Even as the main series ends, there will be enough content to continue exploring the world of The Walking Dead.

  • ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Reimagining Gets Two Season Order by Peacock

‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Reimagining Gets Two Season Order by Peacock

We recently got the reveal of a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will get an HBO Max anniversary special. It will reunite the entire cast of the series in an unscripted format. It was the perfect time as Morgan Cooper‘s viral YouTube trailer Bel-Air was being picked up as a show. Will Smith would also act as a producer on the show, as it tells a darker version of the original story. It was uncertain who would get the rights to this show. Well that was until now, as Peacock has officially won the bidding war.

Not just that, they also closed a deal for a direct-to-series order for two full seasons. Will Smith gave a statement on the record deal in a YouTube announcement.

I’ve been in this business for 30 years and that does not happen. They ordered two full seasons of Bel-Air based on the quality of the pitch and the work that you guys have done. So I want to say congratulations. I am hyped.

The series has now been in development for over a year. Will Smiths Westbrook is co-producing the series with Universal TV. Most assumed the show would be heading to HBO Max given the recent anniversary announcement. Chris Collins of The Wire fame will act as showrunner. I am curious how the original show’s story will be retold. The dramatic aspect would hint at it being a completely unique take. Only the original set-up would remain the same. They could also use aspects of the original show and retell them from a more dramatic perspective. Bel-Air will certainly be a show to keep an eye out for once it airs on Peacock.

  • HBO Max In Early Negotiations to Continue ‘The Venture Bros.’

HBO Max In Early Negotiations to Continue ‘The Venture Bros.’

Just recently Adult Swim’s longest-running series The Venture Bros. was canceled. It was a huge surprise, as the show was already renewed for its eight-season. It all started when a rumor went around after an illustrator teased that the show may have been canceled. It took a few days before the shows creator officially confirmed the cancellation. Well, it looks like the show might have one more chance at life, as recent reports are pointing to HBO Max being interested in continuing the show after all.

The discussion regarding the show’s revival is at a very early stage. As such, it is difficult to say if the show will definitely return or not but at least there is some hope. Jackson Publick created the show as a tribute to Hanna-Barbera’s Johnny Quest. It is interesting to note that it seems that Adult Swim is looking into ways to continue it. Variety got a statement from Adult Swim regarding the show’s future.

We also want more Venture Bros. and have been working with Jackson [Publick] and Doc [Hammer] to find another way to continue the Venture Bros. story.

Looks like this wasn’t just a regular cancellation, or a creative dispute. The show started back in 2004 and consisted of seven seasons. It was a hallmark for the network, which is why it’s cancellation seemed rather sudden. There is a good chance that budget-restraints could’ve played a factor here, as streaming grows in popularity. HBO Max is a great platform to continue the series and hopefully the negotiations will bring back the show.

  • ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 3 Trailer Teases the Collapse of the Federation

‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 3 Trailer Teases the Collapse of the Federation

Happy Star Trek Day everyone! We’ve been wondering for some time when we finally get the trailer for the third season of Star Trek: Discovery. It was only a question of time before we would continue the story of Michael Burnham, Saru, and many more. The last time we saw our crew, they jumped into an unknown future. Now, they are 930 years in the future beyond the time that the Next Generation has once explored. We are in a completely new time that lets the creative team behind the show free range over what type of story they want to tell. After the long wait, we finally got the first trailer for the show during the Star Trek Day celebration.

The season will premiere October 15th, and the trailer certainly promises an interesting direction for the show. It teases an event titled the Burn. An even that managed to end the federation as we know it. It’s an interesting way to set-up the story and offers an intriguing mystery about what happened during the time they left behind. I am curious if they will try to return to their original time. It’s an intriguing set-up and cannot wait to see how it unfolds. The trailer certainly promises a lot of drama and action for the third season.

  • ‘Dune’ Teasers Offer Closer Look at Timothée Chalamet and Jason Momoa’s Characters

‘Dune’ Teasers Offer Closer Look at Timothée Chalamet and Jason Momoa’s Characters

Tomorrow is finally the official release of the first Dune trailer. We have been antsy until Denis Villeneuve’s next film would finally be revealed. The science-fiction film will adapt to the iconic book series by Frank Herbert. We are only a day away from the official first look at the film. Legendary used this chance to build up some hype with a few teaser trailers. They showcase the faces of the film’s massive cast with an ominous voiceover.

The end of the teaser, however, offers a good look at Timothée Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides facing the desert sand. There is a good chance this sequence is shortly before he is confronted by the Arrakis sandworms. We got our first tease of them two weeks ago with the Empire covers so maybe we get at least one of them in motion once the full trailer is released.

That is not all, as Jason Momoa also shared the teaser. Yet, his teaser ends differently with a nice surprise. It offers acloser look at his character, Duncan Idaho.

The tradition of creating teaser trailers for the trailers is a fascinating one. It’s just marketing for more marketing. Still, they sometimes offer those small glimpses that get us excited for the actual full reveal. The wait has already been quite a long one, so I think we will somehow manage for another day before we get our first look at the desert lands of Arrakis in motion.

  • ‘Hyrule Warriors’ Sequel Revealed as ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ Prequel

‘Hyrule Warriors’ Sequel Revealed as ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ Prequel

We know for quite some time that a sequel is underway for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. We’ve been waiting anxiously for the game’s reveal. Nothing was known about it since the initial reveal trailer last year. Suddenly, Nintendo dropped a trailer featuring Eiji Aonuma revealed that the production is underway for the sequel but will need some time before we get another update. That is not where it ends, as they revealed a separate game that acts as a prequel to the original game titled Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

I don’t know what surprised me more. That we are getting a prequel in addition to a sequel, or that it’s an entry in the Hyrule Warriors franchise. This story will take place 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild. It will let you play as the guardians, whose ghosts guide you throughout your journey. As the teaser trailer for the sequel revealed a closer look at what happened to Ganon before he became the Calamity, there is a good chance this will lead to that storyline.

This is quite a surprise, to say the least. Breath of the Wild has a lot of untold stories that are perfect for expanding this era of Link’s adventures. In the original, the guardians were rather underused and we never got a feeling for what they were capable of. It was only hinted at what Calamity Ganon left in his wake, so being able to participate in that battle is a fantastic idea. Hyrule Warriors was also quite a fun third-party variation on the classic formula. So, it is great to see them experiment outside of the convention to still tell a cohesive storyline. This reveal opens up a lot of potential for how Nintendo might approach their franchises. Perhaps we will see fewer restrictions on what defines a Mario or Zelda game that tell one cohesive story.
