  • New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer to Premiere Next Tuesday

New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer to Premiere Next Tuesday

There have been many discussions and wars fought over when the next trailer would release for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was already quite the discussion when it seemed like the initial one was getting postponed with each reference. Finally, after a long wait, we got a more definite release date as @BrandonDavisBD has shared that there’s a Spider-Man fan event next Tuesday, November 16th. It’ll be a trailer launch event so that fans can finally check out what is heading our way in December. There’s no definite release timing included.

It’s been a long time coming, but it’s exciting to finally have a confirmed release date. They also avoided keeping it a secret and just randomly dropping it but rather being upfront about it. Of course, filling a theater for fans is a nice move but also a risky one considering the current situation with the pandemic. They do highlight COVID-19 safety registrations and there might be some surprises for those that manage to get in. Here’s hoping that the wait for the trailer online won’t take too long.

  • Tom Holland Uncertain About His MCU Future After ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Tom Holland Uncertain About His MCU Future After ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

All eyes are on Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film will not only be the third entry in the MCU adaptation of the popular character but may also become a melting pot for all the Spider-Man franchises that came before. Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock has been the main focus for most of Sony’s promotion, and we even got a tease of Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. Of course, this multiversal story opens up the question of what the future has in store for our webhead but not even Tom Holland is sure about that. In an interview with Total Film, he was asked what comes after the release of No Way Home, but he is just as uncertain as we are.

I don’t know. I don’t know. I genuinely don’t know. It’s something I’m thinking about a lot, and it’s something that’s on my mind all the time. But I genuinely don’t have an answer for you.

    Tom Holland

There are quite a few theories about what the future might have in store for Holland‘s version of the character. Venom: Let There Be Carnage seemed to set up an eventual confrontation, while it’s uncertain if he’ll even remain as part of the MCU moving forward. Sony seems hellbent on continuing the franchise. So, it seems unlikely they’d recast the character, especially if they want to continue banking on the MCU connection as well. Here’s hoping that we get a clearer picture once the film releases in December.

  • ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Might Push Peter Parker to His Breaking Point

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Might Push Peter Parker to His Breaking Point

The MCU’s Spider-Man films have had some dark moments but were mostly light-hearted. Now, he’s about to face his biggest challenge yet, as villains from other cinematic storylines are entering the fray. Not only is he about to face multiple villains, but he’ll also learn fast that they’ve already faced a Spider-Man before, especially with how Alfred Molina‘s Doc Ock seemed quite familiar with Peter Parker. In an interview with Total Film, Tom Holland highlights that this might be the darkest entry in the trilogy.

What people will be really surprised about is that it’s not fun, this film. It’s dark and it’s sad, and it’s going to be really affecting. You’re going to see characters that you love go through things that you would never wish for them to go through. And I was just really excited to kind of lean into that side of Peter Parker.

    Tom Holland

It’s certainly an intriguing tease by the actor, especially with how this might push our favorite webhead to his limits. Of course, the actor also gets a chance to explore Parker in new and distinctive ways. He goes on to highlight:

Peter Parker is always someone who’s looking up. He’s always really positive. He’s always like, ‘I can fix this. I can do this.’ Whereas in this film, he feels like he’s met his match. He’s like, ‘I don’t know what to do.’ That was an aspect of the character that I’d never seen before, and I was really, really excited to try to tackle.

    Tom Holland

It makes you worried about what it might mean for Parker and his supporting cast. In a way, it makes you wonder if he might face another tragedy in his life that continues to push him forward while forcing him to rethink what it means to be a hero. He already lost his mentor and is about to face an ever-changing universe.

  • Tom Holland on How ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is “Three Generations Coming Together”

Tom Holland on How ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is “Three Generations Coming Together”

Now, we all know what you’re thinking about with the title. So did Total Film when they sat down with Tom Holland to discuss his role in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home film. Throughout the interview, it seemed that the actor almost let slip one of the worst-kept secrets in the industry. It didn’t help that when they questioned if he had to prove himself on set with the cast while pointing out rumors of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire making the rounds, he said the following:

It was interesting having those guys come in because they have a certain ownership over Spider-Man in their own way”

    Tom Holland

He naturally corrected quickly to point out he is talking about working alongside Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx “and those guys,” probably alluding to the other rumored returning actors like the recently teased Willem Dafoe. Both actors are returning from very different types of films. Holland also points out how interesting it was to see them adapt to a new director and new Spider-Man, as they bring back these classic characters.

It means a lot to me. The first time you see Doc and the rest of the characters that come back, it’s so exciting – and it’s such a huge moment in cinematic history. It’s three generations coming together.

    Tom Holland

His last point is certainly the highlight of what the film’s new multiverse direction is offering, as we get another chance to revisit characters we’ve come to love over the years. It’ll be interesting to see how the film explains their appearance and what it might mean for the character’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He did jokingly reference that no one would believe him if he continues to deny that previous Spider-Man actors are in the film, but laughs it off.

  • ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Might Get Approved for China Release

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Might Get Approved for China Release

There’s been quite a bit of debacle if any Marvel Studios films would get a release in China, especially with the discussions surrounding Shang-Chi and Eternals. Both projects relied mainly on specific markets with the former even being a strong showcase of Marvel’s resolve to keep the original vision alive by denying edits of LGTBQ+ scenes for specific markets. Yet, it’s a comment by director Chloé Zhao that may be the catalyst for its exclusion. Still, it doesn’t mean they won’t ever release anything in China, as Variety reports that Spider-Man: No Way Home may get approval to release in the Middle Kingdom. It’s a big win for the film especially with how well Spider-Man projects have performed in the country.

A release in China is a big move for any project, as it adds that extra boost during the pandemic for a better box office showing. Ever since the pandemic started, the country has restricted its already limited availability by quite a bit. One of the highest-grossing films of the year is a locally produced one that was released just as theaters opened there. Given Spider-Man’s popularity, he’s very likely to leave an impact. Given all the theories, there’s a chance the film will leave quite a memorable dent in 2021’s box office.

  • First Look at Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Poster

First Look at Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Poster

It’s been quite the wait but we finally got our first official look at the Spider-Man: No Way Home poster. It did accidentally drop early as a poster was noticed on the side of a bus, but it turns out the official poster took a different approach with its design. Not only did they add more elements teasing other villains that have been long rumored. Yet, while Jamie Foxx‘s Elektro is hinted with the lightning bolt and a sandstorm hinting at the return of Spider-Man 3‘s Sandman, it’s the most obvious inclusion that caught everyone’s attention. If you look closely into the background, Willem Dafoe‘s Green Goblin is hanging out in the background ready to tackle Spidey.

Here’s a zoomed-in look at Green Goblin provided by @MarvelFansIN, whose design seems eerily close to the original 2002 version.

We got a brief tease of his pumpkin bombs from the original 2002 Sam Raimi film, but this is our first real look at his inclusion. Alfred Molina‘s Doc Ock took center stage in the initial trailer and promotional material, but his inclusion here might hint at the fact he’ll make an appearance in the second trailer. It’s unclear how big the role is, but his return has been teased since back in December when the first rumors started spreading about the various members of the film’s central group of villains. It’s still unclear how long we might have to wait until the second trailer releases, but we are certainly getting more hints at the main antagonists of this project. It’ll be interesting to see the dynamic between these different villains

  • Andrew Garfield Describes His Time As Spider-Man as a Heartbreaking Awakening

Andrew Garfield Describes His Time As Spider-Man as a Heartbreaking Awakening

To a generation, Andrew Garfield IS Peter Parker. And in an interview with The Guardian, the actor describes how his time as Spider-Man served as his own coming of age story.

Garfield played Peter Parker/Spider-Man over the course of two films in 2012 and 2014. The actor became beloved for his portrayal of the character in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but according to him the experience opened his eyes to the nature of the money making machine that is Hollywood.

I went from being a naive boy to growing up,” said Garfield. “There are millions of dollars at stake and that’s what guides the ship. It was a big awakening and it hurt.” The pain, according to Garfield, came from the realization that the studio wasn’t interested in the soul of the character and the fans that love him, but their bottom line:

Comic-Con in San Diego is full of grown men and women still in touch with that pure thing the character meant to them…you add in market forces and test groups and suddenly the focus is less on the soul of it and more on ensuring we make as much money as possible. And I found that – find that – heartbreaking in all matters of the culture. Money is the thing that has corrupted all of us and led to the terrible ecological collapse that we are all about to die under.

In the years since, Garfield has stayed away from major studio tentpole films though his return as the Web-slinger is this December’s Spider-Man: No Way Home is all but confirmed. Hopefully someone will check in with him again following that film to see what brought him back to the role after having such a negative experience the first time around.

  • ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Poster Spotted on a Bus

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Poster Spotted on a Bus

Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s marketing has been surprisingly subtle with only a trailer releasing so far. Surprisingly, we never got an official poster for the film and have been anxiously awaiting any news on the second trailer. Most of the film’s first looks focus primarily on his connection to Doctor Strange, and his confrontation with Alfred Molina‘s return as Doc Ock. While there’s still no sight on that second trailer, we did finally got a poster. Well, it’s not an official release just yet but it was found by Redditor BananaBreadGabe on the side of a bus.

The Direct offered a closer look at the poster’s design:

Of course, the film has quite a few eyes on it due to the return of classic Spider-Man characters. In addition to Molina, the first trailer did tease William Dafoe‘s Green Goblin, nand we know Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro in the project. Of course, the potential of the original Spideys from the previous film incarnations joining the project has added an extra layer of curiosity if they might appear in any future advertising.

It’s strange we didn’t get this poster released earlier, as it doesn’t reveal anything we haven’t seen in the initial trailer. The design from Doc Ock’s perspective is great, as it also means they can expand upon it with every different villain taking a stab at our favorite webhead. Of course, there’s the question if the rumors surrounding Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might also get a spotlight before the film releases, or they’ll keep it in their backpocket for afterwards. The second trailer might give us a hint at how they’re tackling the advertising.

  • ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Delayed Until January in the Philippines

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Delayed Until January in the Philippines

It looks like Spider-Man: No Way Home is facing some delays after all, but this time only in a few select markets. Columbia Pictures Philippines has shared a Facebook post that includes the upcoming release dates for upcoming Sony films. Sneakily, it confirms that the upcoming Spider-Man threequel won’t release until January 8th. As the film will feature some heavy spoilers, there was an instant petition launched to make sure it releases in December, after all, to get the release on the same day as the rest of the world.

Ist möglicherweise ein Bild von Text „WELCOME BACK TO THE CINEMAS! DON'T BREATHE2 NOVEMBER 17, 2021 VENOM ETTHEE ARNAGE DECEMBER 8, 2021 RESIDENTEVIL DECEMBER 15, 2021 STUOIOS SPIDER-MAN -MAN No Way HomE JANUARY 8, 2022 GHESTBUSTERS AFTERLIFE JANUARY 26, 2022 FEBRUARY 9,2022 天 FEBRUARY 23, 2022“

The country is generally getting quite a few projects much later than in other markets. Venom: Let There Be Carnage won’t release until December 8th while Ghostbusters: Afterlife is eyeing a release in January. So, there’s a good chance it didn’t have a release date until recently due to the pandemic. So, it’s very likely a delay that was going to happen either way. Understandably, locals want it to release earlier to avoid any spoilers that will very likely leak online the moment it’s in theaters.

  • New Image of Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus Teases He’ll Get an Upgrade in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

New Image of Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus Teases He’ll Get an Upgrade in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Spider-Man: No Way Home will end the current trilogy of Tom Holland‘s run as the character. The first trailer teased the grand return of Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, which he openly confirmed some time ago. When we get our first look at the actor, it confirmed that he’ll be closer to what he was in Spider-Man 2 back in 2004. Yet, a new image has found its way online that features a curious difference. His tentacles seem to have red and gold included in their design unlike what we saw in previous images.

    Image

Of course, the color caught many fans’ attention, such as @Mar_Tessaract believing it might be a nod to Tony Stark’s iconic Iron Man color palette. Doc Ock was a mentor figure in the original film, which this may be a nod towards but what stands out is that when you look at previous images from Empire’s coverage on the film, there’s a distinct lack of these color additions.

If you zoom in, you might notice some golden parts in the tentacles’ design but no sign of the red highlighted in the new image. Even the arms seem slicker in the new image if you take a closer look. Not just that, but it seems his tentacles have a very different structure. It is closer to the design from the 2004 film. So, the image from Empire above is probably from their first confrontation and he’ll upgrade it at some point. Perhaps he ends up finding some Stark Technology equipment and gives his arms an overhaul. Learning of Peter’s connection to the hero, he might add the color to toy with his multiversal foe.
