Here Come The New Dogs of the MCU!

We got some great shots and video out of New York this week at the Hawkeye series began filming. It was great to have Hailee Steinfeld finally confirmed as Kate Bishop, however the real spotlight stealer is none other than the very handsome, very smart, very, very, very good boy: Pizza Dog!! As soon as pictures emerged of this gorgeous golden retriever, people went gaga over him. And how could they not?

We at Murphy’s Multiverse were very pleased to be able to bring you an exclusive first look at Lucky the Pizza dog. Yesterday, it appears Twitter user @BRMarvelNews discovered the identity of Pizza Dog and found his Instagram page (jolt.of.genius) which showcases his various adventures with his owner Jacqui Johnson and Annie, a beautiful Golden girl who shares in some of the acting duties as well.

Check out some Instagram posts of Jolt (AKC registered name and titles: Dahling Electrify My Soul CGCA DN DJ RATI RATN BCAT) here:

BUT WAIT!! There’s MORE Marvel doggy casting news on the way! Twitter user @WandaMaximoofff spotted an interesting entry on the Animal Casting Atlanta page:

    https://twitter.com/wandamaximoofff/status/1334766988409892870?s=20

The website mentions this handsome guy is in an upcoming Marvel feature, and with his looks and a name like “Sparky” it seems a bit too perfect that he probably is playing WandaVision’s very own doggy wonder!

Incidentally, I wonder what will happen when they meet up with Captain Marvel’s Goose. Hmm… Flerkens and dogs get along okay, right? I’m sure they all love Pizza.

  • Additional ‘MS. MARVEL’ Casting Revealed!

    Additional ‘MS. MARVEL’ Casting Revealed!

This week gave us a big drop of casting news for the Disney Plus Hawkeye series, which began filming in New York, but there hasn’t been much casting leaked for Ms. Marvel as of yet. Well, this is where the fans come in big time. A recent conversation with a certain Ms. Marvel fan shed some light on casting that she confirmed with a source of her own, along with her own research.

The fan asked to remain anonymous but kindly shared the casting information with me, and after a bit of research of my own, I believe it is very likely legit. To be clear, I cannot 100% confirm all of this casting or the characters played at this time, but yeah. I believe it.

First off, according to the source, Sheikh Abdullah is being played by Laith Nakli (Ramy, The Blacklist, 24: Legacy, The Long Road Home). Some of his social media follows and a few posts appear to support this too.

In addition, we’re told Kamala’s mother Muneeba is being played by Zenobia Shroff (The Big Sick, The Affair) and Yasmeen Fletcher (Upside-Down Magic, Let Us In, Andi Mack) was cast as Kamala Khan’s friend Nakia Bahadir.

Ms. Marvel stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. The streaming date is currently unknown but expect to see her pop up in the MCU some time before the show airs!

  • Emma Stone’s Multiversal “Scheduling Conflicts” Force Her to Leave ‘BABYLON’

Emma Stone’s Multiversal “Scheduling Conflicts” Force Her to Leave ‘BABYLON’

What is Emma Stone up to?

Earlier today, it was disclosed that Emma Stone would not be participating in Damien Chazelle’s upcoming project “Babylon” due to some scheduling conflicts the actress is currently facing. Let’s discuss what the project Babylon was about. Babylon is a film directed by Damien Chazelle, the director of La La Land. Details on the film are scarce but we know that the film has to do with Hollywood in the time where silent films were transitioning to talking films. The film is set to star Brad Pitt and was rumored to also have alongside Tobey Maguire, who is a producer for the film, along with Olivia Hamilton, Matt Plouffe & Marc Platt. Unfortunately, Emma was unavailable for the role due to scheduling reasons and they are now planning to incorporate Margot Robbie in her place. So let’s talk about what’s particularly interesting here.

What exactly is Emma Stone shooting?

Now I want you to bear with me for a second here. Emma Stone is an Academy Award-winning actress. She won Best Actress in 2017 for her role in La La Land, a film directed by the same director who is working on Babylon. And in a film starring another Academy Award winner, Brad Pitt, set in Hollywood, the film just pretty much smells of Academy Award nominations. So why turn the part down? AND FOR SCHEDULING CONFLICTS NO LESS? There was nothing on her schedule for next year besides Babylon, and now that’s out of the picture, so what else could she be doing? What project could possibly have captured Emma Stone’s interest to the point of turning down a film with the director that assured her first Academy Award? This is where we enter our speculatory stage. There is a strong possibility that Emma may have turned down the role in Babylon for something far more valuable in this business. A role in a movie franchise that is adored by millions and billions of fans worldwide…

Emma Stone’s Scheduling Conflicts might involve Gwen Stacy

Now, this is just pure speculation but just think about it. Gwen Stacy was a role that fit Emma perfectly in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). It was a role that many fans considered one of the silver linings of the franchise. The possibility of Emma Stone returning to the Spider-Man franchise is absolutely possible, considering the massive rumors of Spider-Man 3 possibly being a Live-Action Spider-Verse film. How exactly she might fit into the story can go in many directions, considering Gwen Stacy met her untimely demise at the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). Perhaps she may be Gwen Stacy from sometime before the events of TASM 2, or perhaps she may be from an entirely different universe. Who knows, maybe even a Gwen who has Spider powers? Only time will tell what exactly Emma Stone is really up to.

  • Sony Pictures’ Panel Announced for CCXP Worlds

Sony Pictures’ Panel Announced for CCXP Worlds

Earlier today, CCXP announced via Social Media that Sony Pictures will mark their presence at CCXP Worlds on December 4th. While details are scarce on how exactly it will play out, they announced that at the Omelete Stage, Sony Pictures is going to be hosting a panel where ONE (emphasis on the one) of their guests will be the director of Fantasy IslandJeff Wadlow. We can expect more announcements to be made regarding this panel since the tweet implies more guests. We suspect that this panel might focus on the Home Entertainment section of Sony Pictures.

Yet, their presence there could hint at Sony also giving some attention to their other upcoming film projects like MorbiusVenom: Let there be Carnage, & the untitled Spider-Man threequel, which we got the tease for a first look sometime this month. It would make sense to use an event of this size to tease something of their 2021 content even if it is as minor as announcing the subtitle for Spider-Man. It’ll be interesting to see what we can expect from the event on a global stage. We are still anxiously waiting if Disney may also end up having a panel at the event, but so far nothing has been officially confirmed.

Check the tweet and Instagram post down below:

To see what more CCXP Worlds will have to offer this weekend, check out our latest article on What to Expect from CCXP Worlds. There we discuss the schedules and what to expect from the panels occurring this week from the likes of AMC, Collider, Funimation, Paramount, Prime Video, Universal, Warner Media, and many more.

  • What to Expect from CCXP Worlds

What to Expect from CCXP Worlds

CCXP Worlds is just around the corner and it’s setting itself up to be an event of its own as perhaps the biggest virtual comic convention and pop culture festival in the world. CCXP Worlds will host a familiar format to DC Fandome; using Unreal Engine to create “a 3D map” where visitors will be able to “enter the little worlds, or the stages, where the attractions will be broadcast…to see the panels and watch firsthand the trailers of studios’ upcoming releases.” as explained by Roberto Fabri, CCXP director of marketing and one of the creators of this virtual project, in a recent interview.

With over 150 hours of programming and panels from lots of studios from around the world, it can be difficult to keep track of what to watch and when to watch it. Thankfully, we’ve compiled a pretty nice list of what to expect when CCXP rolls around this week.

AMC: If you’re a Walking Dead fan, then this panel might definitely interest you. For their third consecutive year, AMC will be present at CCXP and they will bring a panel focused around their latest installment to the Walking Dead franchise: The Walking Dead: World Beyond. The Walking Dead: World Beyond tells the story of the first generation of humans that grew up during the zombie apocalypse, where Iris (played by Aliyah Royale), Hope (played by Alexa Mansour), and their friends Elton (played by Nicolás Cantú) and Silas (played by Hal Cumpston) seek answers regarding the world while going up against the undead dangers the world has to offer.

Collider: Joe and Anthony Russo are confirmed to be present this year at CCXP at a panel presented by Collider. The directors behind Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame will be discussing their origins with Arrested Development, their success with the MCU films and their upcoming projects like Cherry (2021) with Tom Holland or the possible Extraction (2020) sequel with Chris Hemsworth.

Funimation: You guys into anime? Well, you should check out what Funimation has in store for you. Funimation is one of the biggest anime distributor companies in the world, with titles such as My Hero Academia, The Rising of the Shield Hero, Attack on Titan, and many more. For CCXP Worlds, Funimation will host an incredible panel with two of the most popular anime franchises in the world: Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia. The panel will host Lucas Almeida, Mayara Stefane, Pedro Volpato, and Bruno Sangregorio; the dub actors for Attack on Titan as well as Lipe Volpato, Fábio Lucindo, Nestor Chinese, and Luisa Horta; the dub actors for My Hero Academia. It is expected that they will reveal updates regarding their upcoming seasons and will also provide fans with a first-hand look at four episodes of each anime and exclusive content from the series. As for My Hero Academia fans, it’s expected that they will also address a brand new project that has been teased in recent days. It is rumored that this project may be a brand new movie.

Paramount: They will be hosting a panel announcing their upcoming projects, including a panel for the upcoming film ‘G.I. Joe Origins: Snake Eyes’. It will feature Larry Hama, one of the creators behind the GI: JOE comics, and the actor portraying Snake Eyes; Henry Golding. The film will explore the character’s origins and is expected to drop in October 2021. It is possible that they might show some sort of footage for the film.

Prime Video: Amazon Prime Video will be hosting multiple panels for this edition of CCXP Worlds. Amongst them include panels for the upcoming Invincible series (starring Steven Yeun and J.K. Simmons), The Wilds (starring Sarah Streicher and Amy B. Harris), & The Expanse. It is unknown at the time of writing this article if Amazon will give any sort of update on Season 3 of The Boys, which is expected to start production sometime early next year.

Sony Pictures: Sony Pictures will be holding a Monster Hunter panel featuring Milla Jovovich, Diego Boneta, and director Paul W.S. Anderson, to promote the film which premieres this coming December. It is unknown at the time of writing this article if Sony Pictures will be hosting any other panel or making any other sort of announcements at CCXP Worlds. We know that during Expocine in October, Camila Pacheco; the Executive Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil, told attendees back then that the film had already started production and that we would get our first look at the film sometime in December 2020. With CCXP around the corner and with hundreds upon thousands upon millions planning to attend the virtual convention, it would be the perfect opportunity for Sony to shed some light on the upcoming film.

Universal: Universal will be holding 2 panels at CCXP. One of the panels will promote the upcoming animated movie; “The Croods 2: A New Age” with director Joel Crawford and Rodrigo Lombardi. There will also be another panel with Vince Vaughn and Kathyrn Newton to talk about their upcoming movie, “Freaky”.

Warner Media: Without a doubt the heavy hitter of the weekend, they’ll be hosting a nearly 5 hour and a half long panel discussing all sorts of projects from their different branches. Warner Bros. Pictures, Home Entertainment, TV, Games, Consumer Products, Particular Crowd, HBO, DC, Cartoon Network, and Adult Swim will all be present to discuss their upcoming projects. We’ll expect to hear updates on WW84, The Suicide Squad, and more!

Locked Panels: If you notice the original schedule (Version 1), there’s a panel that is currently locked and unannounced that will go live at 5:30 pm EST. In Version 2, multiple panels that were announced in Version 1 of the schedule have now been locked, but we expect those panels to stick to what was originally announced, so right now there’s only 1 panel where we have no idea what it could be. Now, that secret panel has a duration of about 30 mins similar to the durations of some of the other panels from other studios like Funimation, Universal, Paramount, and Sony. Also, if you look at the rest of the schedule, you’ll notice that on the Omelete Stage, they’ll usually react to the big panels from Studios happening at the Thunder Arena in real-time and that section is also locked, so there is a large possibility that at that time, a studio is going to be presenting during that 30-minute time slot. Notice that some of the previous participants from last year are not on schedule for CCXP, most notably Marvel Studios, Disney, and Netflix. Now, at the time, we have no idea who might be presenting at that panel, but if CCXP is keeping that panel a secret, chances are it might be something interesting. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

The CCXP Worlds Schedule will be updated regularly until the day of the event.

  • Captain Jack Returns in the New ‘DOCTOR WHO’ Holiday Special Trailer!

Captain Jack Returns in the New ‘DOCTOR WHO’ Holiday Special Trailer!

Prepare yourself for the return of Captain Jack Harkness, Daleks, and “maximum extermination” this New Years Day as BBC drops a new trailer for the Doctor Who holiday special.

Check out the trailer for “The Revolution of the Daleks” below!

Along with this special obviously being very Dalekcentric, what’s really exciting is the return of the very handsome, very enigmatic, and very immortal Captain Jack, played by John Barrowman MBE. Jack first appeared in Doctor Who in 2005 alongside the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and Rose Tyler (Billie Piper). He later went on to lead his own spinoff series, Torchwood, for four series.

After a long absence from the Doctor Who universe, Jack had a brief surprise return in the fifth episode of series 12, which seems to have been a tease of his return for this holiday special. Otherwise, it’s certainly been a very long time since we’ve seen Captain Jack and his awesome fashion sense, can’t wait to what the future (and the past) holds for him.

Doctor Who “The Revolution of the Daleks,” starring Jodie Whittaker as the 13th Doctor, airs on BBC America on New Years Day 2021.

  • CCXP Worlds Revealed Alongside Virtual Line-Up

CCXP Worlds Revealed Alongside Virtual Line-Up

A virtual online event for fans all over the globe.

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed our lives in these past few months. Our day-to-day routine has changed dramatically with global lockdowns, event cancellations, movie delays, and so much more. One of the biggest challenges companies have had to face during this pandemic is the cancellation of conventions worldwide. Companies would use events like San Diego Comic-Con to host panels and make announcements about their upcoming releases. They would reveal their products to hundreds of thousands of fans who are attending. But with the COVID-19 pandemic, these sorts of announcements have been very limited to virtual events like SDCC@Home and DC Fandome. Now, there’s a new event on the horizon that’s going to get the attention of fans worldwide.

Comic-Con Experience (or CCXP for short) is one of the biggest comic conventions and the largest pop culture festival in the world. Its rise in popularity started six years ago when the event first started. Just last year, its attendance rate was around 280,000. CCXP is known for bringing big studios and franchises to talk about their upcoming projects firsthand. The list includes Disney, Warner Bros., Netflix, Amazon, and many more. The event has now moved to a completely virtual format, allowing fans from all over the world to attend. Earlier today, during a Facebook live, CCXP unveiled their plans for CCXP Worlds, displaying a rather familiar format to DC Fandome, with virtual panels and announcements for some of the studios that will be attending. Among those studios were the following:

We can expect many more announcements to arrive in the following days. With so many panels and studios stopping by, we can expect a lot of news and announcements being made at CCXP Worlds. So it’s a good thing that the multiverse is ready to cover what all these worlds announce next week. CCXP will be held from December 4th until the 6th.

  • Could ‘SPIDER-MAN’ PS4 Star John Bubinak Be Part of the Multiverse of Madness?

Could ‘SPIDER-MAN’ PS4 Star John Bubinak Be Part of the Multiverse of Madness?

    Worlds Colliding.

From street-level stories like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Shang-Chi, to world-threatening events like Thor: Love and Thunder and WandaVision, Marvel Studios seems to be shaping up to expand the four corners of its cinematic universe (and beyond). And today, we’re going to be looking at one of the most anticipated MCU films of Phase 4, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, from what we know so far, it’s possible that the film will have something to do with the theme of the multiverse. This theme is something we expect will be explored first in the upcoming series WandaVision, with possible rumors of the untitled Spider-Man sequel possibly delving into a plotline revolving around that plot device as well, which leads us to today’s rumor.

Some fans may recognize John Bubniak as the face model for the PS4 version of the “Marvel’s Spider-Man” game. His face model was eventually replaced by Ben Jordan for the remastered version of the game and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Fans of the game, however, had gotten used to John’s face after years of playing the game and had taken to social media to make their voices heard, and Bubniak respond with a thread of interesting replies.

    A few weeks ago, Bubniak replied to Twitter users @SimplyPalm and @LiamParker2141, appreciating their praise and teasing that “good things are coming”, while at the same time hinting that it’s a secret. Then, just a few days ago, Bubniak posted the following on his social media;

    https://twitter.com/JohnBubniak/status/1329163854098558976?s=20

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CH0iwegJ1g8/

    We can deduce from the images that Bubniak is indeed headed to London and in the comments of the Instagram post, he indicated that he was in London for filming, but he did not indicate what exactly. Along with those comments, fans once again asked him if Bubniak would return to the role of Peter Parker one day, to which Bubniak responded;

We know that right now, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to film some time next month in the UK, as confirmed by Elizabeth Olsen in an interview last week. Right now, Bubniak tagged his location on Instagram as Shoreditch, a residential district just about 90 minutes away from Longcross Studios, where filming for the sequel of Doctor Strange is expected to take place. Bubniak’s arrival in the UK to film something secret at the same time Doctor Strange 2 is due to start production in the same place seem like a circumstance of pure coincidence, which makes it even more suspicious.

Could Bubniak reprise his role as Spider-Man for “Multiverse of Madness”?

With the untitled Spider-Man sequel seeing Benedict Cumberbatch reprise his role as Doctor Strange in the film and the rumors of a multiverse plot growing louder by the day, it is possible that the film could in some way have a connection to the Doctor Strange sequel. And if indeed the Doctor Strange film explores the vast multiverse of Marvel in general, that leaves a glimmer of the possibility of seeing Bubniak donning the red and blues once again for a short cameo in this film. But for now, all we can do is wait and see.

  • Theory Thursday: Breaking Down the Latest ‘WANDAVISION’ Teaser

Theory Thursday: Breaking Down the Latest ‘WANDAVISION’ Teaser

Breaking out that 20/20 Vision for 2021.

After months of speculation, Marvel Studios finally revealed the release date for the upcoming Disney+ series; WandaVision. Along with that release date announcement, came a short teaser:

Now at first glance, this looks like a normal moving poster or just a small teaser that you’d see on their Instagram stories just to promote the show. But we all know Marvel Studios better than that. Sometimes, they’ve been known in the past to sneak some secrets or teases here and there. So, let’s take a look at this small teaser for a moment and notice what we see.

    SHOT 1: 1960s

The teaser opens up with a pretty straightforward shot. The scene is in black and white and it showcases Wanda and Vision in their 60s phase. This portion of the show is the one that we’ve seen the most of in teasers. It’s also been the segment of the show that we know more details about. We know it’s inspired by comedy classics from the ’60s like The Dick Van Dyke Show, Bewitched, The Twilight Zone, and I Love Lucy. We also know that it was filmed in front of a live studio audience. And it been the source of much of WandaVision’s promotional materials.

    SHOT 2: 1970s

The next shot fast forwards to the next decade which would be the 1970s. While we know little about this era in particular, we know that at some point during this portion of the show we might see Wanda’s pregnancy start here and develop further along during this specific episode. We expect this era might be inspired by The Brady Bunch & All in the Family.

    SHOT 3: 1980s

We eventually transition to the 1980s, where we see a standard 80s double knob TV, the color is finally present in the entirety of the room and the potted plant on the left changed. We know little about this era for the show but I predict this might be the part of the show where Wanda’s pregnancy is near her final trimester and she may give birth by the time we end our 80s tribute. I envision this era taking inspiration from Happy Days & The Golden Girls.

    SHOT 4: 1990s

The 1990s is the other era that’s been heavily teased in the teasers. We know from this era that we’re going to see an episode centered around Halloween. We also expect the twins to have been born by this point in the series. This is also the segment in the series where i expect things might start to unravel for our two main heroes. I am definitely sensing a heavy reference of Full House for this episode in particular.

SHOT 5: MULTIPLE ERAS (HIDDEN DETAILS)

This is more of a “blink and you’ll miss it moment” in the teaser, where the TV starts spiraling out of control between images and it showcases all the eras in the TV that we had already seen previously, except 2 shots in particular. The one on the left looks to be from the 90s, when Wanda and Vision’s kid have already been born and the one on the right bears a resemblance to when Wanda and Vision start seeing the world change around them from black and white to color.

You also take notice of a couple of things in those shots. Primarily, when the 90s era tries to go to the next era, as we mentioned before, the TV starts spiraling out of control between images and it showcases all the eras in the TV that we had already seen previously. But while it’s spiraling out of control, you notice a couple of key details in the surroundings that start to fade in, but are immediately pushed back and kept hidden. So, let’s look closer at the image and look at the things that stand out.

    You’ve got:

    • The Victorian Wallpaper and Rose Painting: That Victorian wallpaper and Rose painting resembles the wallpaper and painting from the image above on the right.  The one where Wanda and Vision start seeing the world change around them from black and white to color.

    • The weird lamp dangling above the TV: Notice that weird, teardrop lamp on top of the TV? Interesting lighting choice. Wanda Maximoff in particular has been known to have strange-looking lamps, particularly we can see them during the 1960s portion of the show, where we have a middle-eastern style lamp next to the front door. These styles of lamps also used to decorate Wanda’s room back in the Avengers Complex in Captain America: Civil War (2016). Fun detail no?

    SHOT 6: FINAL SHOT

The final shot in the tease happens after everything went haywire and it just goes back to normal, revealing the release date of the show and the title card. A fun little detail about this shot is if you notice on the top left corner, the wall starts to peel off, revealing tv static. Very intriguing. Perhaps the teaser as a whole represented a metaphor for what might happen in the series.

    BONUS: THE TVs

All of the TVs shown in the teaser are representative of their eras. But there was one TV that popped up for only about 5 frames before disappearing again.

What’s interesting about this tv? Well, it’s actually not the TV itself, but rather what it’s on. This old TV stand on wheels is something commonly seen in hospitals. Interestingly enough, Charles talked about WandaVision filming inside a hospital about a year ago. So I’d check up on that if you need a refresher.

Official Plot Synopsis: Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, “WandaVision” is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The show features the return of Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis & Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, as well as the introduction of new faces, such as Teyonah Parris as an adult Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as the nosey neighbor, Agnes.

WANDAVISION PREMIERES EXCLUSIVELY ON DISNEY+ ON JANUARY 15TH.

  • ‘WANDAVISION’: Vision’s ‘Secret Identity’

    ‘WANDAVISION’: Vision’s ‘Secret Identity’

Right now, we’re less than 2 months away from the debut of WandaVision (2021) on Disney+. I’m excited, you’re excited, we’re all excited. While working on my next Theory Thursday article, I was looking over some of the promo images from Entertainment Weekly and found something particularly interesting in one of them.

(L-R): Kathryn Hahn as Agnes, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision in Marvel Studios’ WANDAVISION. Photo by Chuck Zlotnick. ©Marvel Studios 2020. All Rights Reserved.

Anything interesting catch your attention (Besides the pineapple?) No? Let’s take a closer look then.

At the bottom right of the original image, you’ll notice Vision’s briefcase and the initials “T.D.”, engraved on top.

Now, I did my research on the briefcase and question found this Samsonite model.

A nearly exact model, except without the T.D. initials on top. Meaning that if this suitcase belongs to Vision, and he has those initials engraved onto the briefcase, it’s safe to assume that Vision has taken up a new alias if both he and Wanda are trying to live out their suburban lives undercover, without any ties to their previous lives. Vision in the comics is definitely no stranger to aliases in the comics. His most notable alias was Victor Shade.

SO, IF HE’S WEARING A DISGUISE AND HE HAS A NEW ALIAS, THEN WHAT DOES “T.D.” STAND FOR?

T.D. could mean many different names and it’s definitely not something ripped directly from the comics, though I believe I’ve zoned in on the possible first name for Vision’s new alias:

Why Thomas (Tom) D. you ask? Well, because of multiple connections Vision has to people with that name.

    Character Co-Creator: Roy Thomas

Roy Thomas is a comic book legend, mainly for being Stan Lee’s first successor as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics and is known for co-creating characters such as Vision, Ultron, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), etc. One could assume that the name pays homage to the man who created the character, but that’s not all.

    Comic Book Writer: Tom King

Tom King wrote one of the most fascinating stories about Vision in his comic series named after the character. And we know that the limited series will draw inspiration from King’s run, along with several other comic runs. So it could also be seen from the perspective of paying homage to a fantastic writer. And last but not least…

    Thomas Shepherd aka Speed

The reincarnated son of Wanda and Vision. We know that the “new” Maximoff twins are bound to appear in the show and most parents across multiple time periods tend to name their sons after the father, so it isn’t that far of a leap in logic to think that it’s possible that perhaps Vision being named Tom or Thomas could be a reference to his future “soon-to-be born-son” Tommy. Bit of a bootstrap paradox for you there. (Look it up).

WANDAVISION PREMIERES EXCLUSIVELY ON DISNEY+ ON JANUARY 15TH.
