‘TRANSFORMERS 7’ Adds Luna Lauren Velez

The cast of Paramount’s newest Transformers film is growing. Luna Lauren Velez has officially boarded the project, as confirmed by the actress herself.  The veteran performer, known for her roles in Into the Spider-Verse and Dexter, revealed the casting news during an interview with Comic Book Movie. While discussing her role in the upcoming action flick Rogue HostageVelez dropped the informative bomb that she’d also be appearing in the seventh installment of the Transformers franchise. She stated:

I’m doing Transformers 7 which I’m very excited about. I play Anthony Ramos’ mom in that film, so there’s some exciting stuff coming up.

As the conversation continued, the famed television actress added that being a part of the robot-centric film series was a brand new experience for her.

I have to confess that I haven’t seen any of the films, so to come in a project like this at this moment was really great. I’m excited about that. It’s going to be fun stuff.

Following the success of the 2018 prequel Bumblebee, Paramount Pictures has committed to continuing the franchise with Caple Jr, director of Creed II, joining the project. It will star upand-comers Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback in leading roles. The film is set to debut in 2022. It is still uncertain if they’ll reboot the franchise or if they will revisit what was started by Michael Bay. A few months ago, rumors pointed to it potentially exploring a live-action adaptation of Beast Wars. Hopefully, we’ll find out more in the near future.

  • RUMOR: ‘Kraven the Hunter’ to Face Off Against Chameleon

RUMOR: ‘Kraven the Hunter’ to Face Off Against Chameleon

The Spider-Man franchise continues to expand but not in the ways many expect. Sony has been quite eager about exploring new ventures by exploring individual stories surrounding the webhead’s vast amount of characters. Now, they aren’t necessarily connected to Tom Holland’s incarnation of the character, but we’ve already seen their work with Venom and the upcoming Morbius. Sony has now set its eyes on an adaptation of Kraven the Hunter‘s story with Aaron Taylor-Johnson cast in the titular role. It seems that wasn’t all, as Illuminerdi shared that the Chameleon, better known as the Russian master of disguise Dmitri Smerdyakov, will be a villain in the upcoming spin-off.

They couldn’t offer any details outside of his potential inclusion. They are currently looking for someone in their thirties to take on the villainous role. It is uncertain if he’ll have to contend with others or if he’ll be the sole adversary of the film. The character actually has some connections to fellow Russian, as he was his half-brother in the comics. So, they might explore this aspect in the upcoming film.

It is also unknown if he’ll have his iconic face mask and switch between them, or simply act as a mastermind in the background. It is most likely not connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe directly, but they might utilize the technology introduced in Captain America: The Winter Soldier that allowed someone to replace their face. They could also give him a unique visual to make the character stand out, especially if Sony might do their own thing with this spin-off. Whatever direction they end up taking, it’s going to be curious to see how they adapt these characters without their common foe.

  • Shemar Moore Joins ‘SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2’

Shemar Moore Joins ‘SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2’

The cast of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has added a Criminal Minds star to its ranks. Shemar Moore has confirmed his involvement with the video game sequel via a post on his Instagram. The veteran television actor did not include any information on who he might be playing, but the image he provided is enough to assume he’ll be taking a live-action role instead of voicing an animated character. He joins a cast that includes returning members James MarsdenTika Sumpter, and Parks and Rec breakout Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic. Jim Carrey is rumored to return as the villain Dr. Robotnik. There is also the rumor that Jason Mamoa will voice Knuckles the Echidna. Sonic’s long-time friend Tails is also returning after his brief appearance in a post-credit sequence, though there has been no word on whether or not Colleen O’Shaughnessey will return to the role.

Moore is best known for his work as a television police officer. He starred as behavioral analyst Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds for eleven years before leaving the show to lead CBS’ S.W.A.T. The actor is also no stranger to the world of geeks, having provided the voice of DC’s Cyborg in five separate animated films over the last decade. Known for his smooth, charming nature, Moore served as the host of the music-based television show Soul Train for almost five years. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be one of the highest-profile films in his career, and it’s set to release in April of 2022. Jeff Fowler will return to helm the project, which will follow Sonic and his human friends dealing with the destructive return of Carrey‘s Robotnik.

Orginal ‘Spider-Man’ Editor Bob Murawski Working on ‘Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness’

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness has added another familiar face to its production crew. During a recent interview with Vanity Fair’s Still Watching podcast, the film’s writer Michael Waldron casually revealed that Bob Murawski had boarded the project. The news is significant, as Murawski is a long-time collaborator with director Sam Raimi. The pair previously worked together on all three original Spider-Man films, as well as Oz: The Great and PowerfulArmy of Darkness, and Darkman.

Other notable credits for Murawski include Orson Welles‘ recently finished film The Other Side of the Wind and Kathryn Bigelow‘s Academy Award-winning The Hurt Locker. He joins a growing list of frequent Raimi partners working on Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated movie after composer Danny Elfman was confirmed to return earlier this yearBruce Campbell has been rumored to cameo, but his involvement has not been officially confirmed.

Raimi joined the production of Multiverse of Madness early last year after writer and director Scott Derrickson, who helmed the franchise’s first installment, left due to creative differences. The project marks Raimi‘s first comic book adaptation since 2007’s Spider-Man 3. The large-scale film is set to be one of Marvel’s most explosive entries in Phase 4.

  • Vin Diesel Teases Groot’s Return to Planet X in the MCU

Vin Diesel Teases Groot’s Return to Planet X in the MCU

Even after being delayed for quite some time, we still know very little about the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3‘s plot. We only know that director James Gunn will part ways with the franchise once he finishes his trilogy. Now, it seems that Vin Diesel, the voice of Groot, has confirmed his character’s homeworld will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point. He revealed the news in a recent video interview with ComicBook’s Brandon Davis, which he shared on Twitter. He references the plot development by pointing out it’s a story Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige is quite excited about in an upcoming project. However, he doesn’t outright confirm which one it might be, as the character is slated to appear in next year’s Thor: Love and Thunder, the Disney+ series I Am Groot, and, of course, Guardians of the Galaxy‘s third entry. Going by the interview and Davis‘s tweet, it seems likely he is referencing the next Guardians film.

In the comics, Planet X is the homeworld of Groot’s species, the Flora Colossi. The location was referenced in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film when it was listed on the Nova Corps’ prisoner profile for Groot. Interestingly, the planet was referred to as “Taluhnia” in the initial trailer for the movie, before being changed in the final product. If Diesel was indeed teasing a plot point for the next Guardians, it’s possible Gunn goes back to this alternate name as a way of branching out and exploring the planet’s culture. After all, the filmmaker does have a history of changing his character’s comic origins. Sadly, it may be a while until we know for sure.

  • ‘Stranger Things’: Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke and More Featured in New Season 4 Set Photos

‘Stranger Things’: Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke and More Featured in New Season 4 Set Photos

It’s crazy to think that the upcoming fourth season of Stranger Things has been teased all the way back in February of last year. In the mini-teaser titled “From Russia with love…” we got a glimpse of what happened after the events of the last season and got the dramatic reveal of Jim Hopper’s fate. Luckily, we got a short follow-up in early May that gave us a glimpse at Eleven’s upbringing before she made her grand escape. They offer us glimpses into what we can expect but the latest set photos offer a glimpse at

Sadly, we aren’t allowed to share the images from JustJared, but you can check them out by clicking here.

We can see Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Calex McLaughlin, and Maya Hawke preparing for some kind of battle. Joe Keery is wielding an ax alongside Natalia with a shotgun. They look like they went through quite some trouble, as these images give off an apocalyptic vibe. We know from the end of last season that the group has split. Perhaps the Upside Down found its way into reality and merged with it.

They certainly are collecting quite a few supplies. It’ll be interesting to see if they introduce a new major threat like the mind Flyer, or if they will have to take down an army of Demogorgons. Hopefully, we’ll get an official trailer in the upcoming months with a release date that’ll hint at what exactly will befall the little town of Hawkins.

A childhood favorite is finally making a return, as during the E3 Nintendo Direct they announced a brand new remake of the original two Advance Wars titles. Not just that, they are completely redoing the franchise in 3D with unique animations for the characters. Not just that, they are even remaking both original games from the Nintendo Gameboy. Sadly, it seems they aren’t focusing on the Nintendo DS’s Dual Strike that continued the franchise back in the day, but they might return to the franchise if this new installment proves to be successful.
