  • New ‘Ms. Marvel’ Promo Art Offers loser Look at Red Dagger’s Design

New ‘Ms. Marvel’ Promo Art Offers loser Look at Red Dagger’s Design

While we’re focused on that amazing fifth episode of Moon Knight, it still looks like promo art has found its way online for Ms. Marvel to add a little extra to the Marvel day. As shared by @CineGeekNews, some more promo art continues to put the focus on our titular hero Kamala Khan with a great visual inspired by the comics. There are also her drawings of Captain Marvel, Wasp, and Valkyrie that we saw in the initial trailer. Yet, there is one that stands out the most, it’s our first look at the MCU’s Red Dagger.

Aramis Knight joined the Disney+ series as the vigilante known as Red Dagger and we did get a tease of his look in the series during the first trailer, but it was a bit difficult to fully make out. Luckily, the new promo art not only confirms he’ll retain his superhero name but offers our best look at his design with the iconic red scarf and even his iconic daggers.

His design is quite faithful to the version we saw in the comics. We don’t know if his story will also follow a similar beat to the storyline that inspires the Disney+ series. They will definitely make some changes if her new abilities are anything to go by, but they are seemingly trying to keep the original spirit of the character alive. She’s a teenager and will probably struggle quite a bit with her new role, especially as she also has to somehow keep up with her school work and home responsibilities.

  • Oscar Isaac Continues to Tease Jake Lockley’s Arrival in ‘Moon Knight’

Oscar Isaac Continues to Tease Jake Lockley’s Arrival in ‘Moon Knight’

Ever since the first episode released of Moon Knight, we’ve been seeing many hints that a third personality is hiding. Steven and Marc have been our main focus so far, but the fourth episode of the Disney+ series gave us these yet with a mysterious sarcophagus potentially including the third personality, Jake Lockley. Oscar Isaac has been having fun with the idea and has been teasing his eventual arrival.

In a new interview with ComicBook.com, the actor continues to tease the personality and teases that perhaps the final two episodes might shed light on what exactly is going on with the constant teasing and when we might finally get the reveal of Jake Lockley and why he’s been hidden for so long.

I’d say that you’re right. That it’s definitely things are pointing towards the idea that it’s not just Steven and Marc in that system, that there’s possibly others. Yeah, that’s something that we discussed. Two episodes left to find out.

    Oscar Isaac

While he doesn’t confirm anything, it does seem likely that we’ll meet him at some point in the Disney+ series. With Marc currently stuck in the asylum–or his mind–the reveal can’t be too far off. It’ll be interesting to see how Moon Knight handles his introduction and if he might even tie into previous events, as there are enough hints that he has a role of some kind in this story. The only question remains after that. Will we get Oscar Isaac rocking that iconic moustache too?

  • ‘Love, Victor’ Heading to Disney+ After All

‘Love, Victor’ Heading to Disney+ After All

Disney+ is backtracking on Love, Victor, and will now stream the series starting with its upcoming third season. The service was originally set as the home of the LGBTQ romantic comedy when it was debuting in 2020 but found itself pushed to Hulu after Disney executives decided its exploration of teen sexuality and alcohol use weren’t the right fit for their brand.

Now, shortly after the company has begun to make a stand against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law, they will be bringing the queer love story back to their domain. The change will happen concurrently with the release of the show’s third and final season on June 15. Hulu President Joe Earley had the following to say regarding the announcement:

We are proud of ‘Love, Victor’ and are excited to bring it to the widest possible audience on June 15 by making the full series available on both Disney+ and Hulu to celebrate the final season and LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. In addition to highlighting this groundbreaking series, this will give subscribers a chance to sample more content that is available across our streaming services as we have done with titles like the Academy Award-winning ‘Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised),’ ‘Man in the Arena: Tom Brady’ and ‘black-ish.’

    Joe Early

The series is based on the hit film Love, Simon. It focuses on Victor, played by Michael Cimino, a new student at Creekwood High School juggling home life and questions about his sexual orientation. Nick Robinson, who played the titular character in the original movie, serves as a producer and the show’s narrator. Thus far, Love, Victor has been acclaimed by fans and critics alike, earning multiple GLAAD Media Awards and becoming the most-watched drama on Hulu during the week of its premiere. Hopefully, audiences are also able to enjoy the final season, on whichever streaming service they like.

  • Oscar Isaac Tried to Sneak in a Meme and the MCU’s First F-Bomb in ‘Moon Knight’

Oscar Isaac Tried to Sneak in a Meme and the MCU’s First F-Bomb in ‘Moon Knight’

Oscar Isaac has been quite excited with his first venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as he’s been sharing the fun he’s had bringing Moon Knight to life. It seems that he also tried to be a bit sneaky, such as getting a meme into the series. Not only that, but he also wanted to sneak an f-bomb, which would’ve been the MCU’s first. He goes on to share the story with ScreenRant, where he highlights that:

My brother and I, there’s this meme that we think is really, really funny. It’s this English kid that’s got a tie on his head. He’s rapping, and then just a punch comes out of nowhere and punches him and he goes, “Oh, f**k, I can’t believe you’ve done this!” A lot of people know what I’m talking about. And so I was like, “We’ve got to find an opportunity to do that.”

    Oscar Isaac

They were certainly all-in to bring it to life, as he did quite a few takes with the f-bomb being dropped. Sadly though, it seems that Disney’s censors for their family-friendly streaming service wouldn’t quite let that through.

And this seemed like the perfect time to do it. So I did it. I did a lot of takes where I actually say, “Oh, f**k” and I thought, in Disney, because it’s TV or whatever, that you get one F-bomb. But ultimately, not even one. We don’t even get the one, so we had to change it. But basically, that is just my homage to that.

    Oscar Isaac

While it’s a shame that they couldn’t get it in, it’s no surprise. The show is still pushing the PG-13 rating to its limit but we don’t know the exact regulations. One f-bomb is allowed per film release and streaming services do have their own regulations. We’ll probably see more adult content, especially with Deadpool becoming the MCU’s first R-rated project moving forward. Perhaps Moon Knight gets a chance at a higher rating and Isaac can drop his f-bomb.

  • Deborah Chow Teases Surprises in Disney+’s ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’

Deborah Chow Teases Surprises in Disney+’s ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’

The release of Obi-Wan Kenobi is just around the corner, and director Deborah Chow is just as excited as anyone else. After helming a pair of well-received episodes of The Mandalorian, the creative was promoted to full-time director of Ewan McGregor‘s big return to the Star Wars universe. She recently sat down with Total Film to discuss the upcoming project, and was naturally asked a variety of questions pertaining to possible spoilers.

One of these inquiries was about Liam Neeson‘s Qui-Gon Jinn, the Jedi Master who died protecting Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker at the end of Episode I – The Phantom Menace. the final moments of the prequel trilogy revealed to audiences that Jinn had actually become the first Jedi to perfect communication from beyond the grave, with Yoda hinting to Kenobi that he could continue to learn from his former teacher. Neeson came back to voice the character for cameos in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Chow was asked if that would also be the case for Kenobi. Her response was indirect but intriguing, to say the least:

Obi-Wan’s going on a journey. There’s going to be different people that come into his life. One of the things I was trying to do with this series was to have the legacy, and who is important in Obi-Wan’s life, and to also have some new characters. So it’s going to be a mixture of the two. But I do think there are some surprises to come. I hope.

    Deborah Chow

The answer doesn’t confirm anything specific, but it does leave the door open for some major anticipation about what’s to come. Many iconic Star Wars characters are returning for the Disney+ series, including Darth Vader and the Grand Inquisitor, so it’s not entirely impossible that Jinn could join them on the small screen.

  • ‘Moon Knight’ Episode 5 Primer

    ‘Moon Knight’ Episode 5 Primer

Episode 4 of Moon Knight, “The Tomb”, was illuminating to say the least. We learned so much, Including the fact that Ammut was trapped in Alexander The Great’s tomb, and Alexander once served as his avatar! Arthur really did a number on Marc, first revealing to Layla the Marc knew how her father died and then shooting Marc, which is when things REALLY got nuts. The last part of the episode took place inside a mental hospital where Marc and Steven were patients and Arthur was their…doctor? The big question in this episode is, is the hospital where Marc is taken in the afterlife or is this whole thing in Marc’s head? Like is he dead or did he make up all these scenarios?

In the hospital, we all the characters from the series return in different roles and more Easter eggs than we could count. There is also more evidence, maybe the best yet, of there being a third personality, when Marc gets Steven out of a tomb and then another tomb is seen, shaking as if someone on the inside is wanting to get out. Finally, the madness ends when Marc and Steven casually bump into a talking hippo. Not only does everything happening in the asylum causes Marc to call into question whether or not the events he’s experienced are real, but they also cause the audience to wonder the same thing.

    Arlyn’s Assumptions

Moon Knight Season 1 Episode 5 Release Date: Inside Steven/Marc's Mind Or The Othervoid? - OtakuKart

In the next episode I think that they will dive deeper into the whole hospital situation. There is still two episodes left so Marc can’t be dead…again…just yet! But without the help of Khonshu, how will Marc and Steven escape wherever it is they are? And even if they do, will it be in enough time to stop Harrow from freeing Ammut?

    The next episode comes tomorrow!

  • New ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Concept Art Teases an Empire Base

New ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Concept Art Teases an Empire Base

Obi-Wan Kenobi is only a few more weeks away from releasing. The next entry will see the return of Ewan McGregor in the iconic role from the Prequel trilogy. Total Film has been quite busy promoting the film with various articles teasing what the future has in store for us with the latest Disney+. Showrunner Deborah Chow has also debunked rumors that Darth Maul was ever part of the project. Now, Total Film (as shared by @starwarsstuff2) has released some new concept art that teases what the project has in store.

As we’re revisiting Tatooine shortly after The Book of Boba Fett‘s time on the desert planet, they aren’t revealing too much from the upcoming series. We do get a test of a mysterious vehicle that is a bit more Mad Max in design. We might also get to visit an Empire base going by the only non-desert location teased with the artwork. Of course, Obi-Wan is also getting a new look, which is heavily promoted in the artwork, and we have gotten a few teases from the first trailer.

They are still keeping quite a bit secretive. So, we’ll see just how many different planets Obi-Wan might end up visiting in the series. There are a lot of questions that might not get an answer until its release, especially with the teases of some curious surprises that the production may have in store for us. For now, we’ll have to wait and see what the May release has in store for us potentially.

  • RUMOR: Charlie Cox May Start Filming ‘Echo’ in May

RUMOR: Charlie Cox May Start Filming ‘Echo’ in May

Earlier this month, the costume designer for Echo accidentally revealed that Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox would reprise their roles in Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Of course, the fact that Kingpin and Daredevil will make their return in a larger role is an exciting prospect after they were slowly reintroduced into the mainline MCU. Production has only recently started and it did beg the question of when we might expect the actors to join the production. Luckily, a new rumor may have given us a hint.

As shared by Knight Edge Media, Daniel Richtman teased that Charlie Cox is scheduled to start production later in May. He couldn’t offer any details but it does look like he’ll definitely have a larger role in this series than he did in No Way Home, which was mostly just a cameo appearance. We don’t know if he already has a history with Echo and how they might set up some elements from the original Daredevil series, if at all. As productions can always change, there’s always a chance that something in their schedule may shift.

There are rumblings we might see him in another Disney+ series and that he also has his own on the way at some point in the future. It’ll be interesting to see if Echo may act as a set-up for the spinoff Disney+ series. It does seem like we will get a lot more from Charlie Cox, who was the flagship actor of the Netflix spinoffs and catapulted the character of Daredevil to new highs. Here’s hoping that he may become just as important to the MCU’s future.

  • ‘Secret Invasion’ Crew Merch Hints at the Arrival of the Skrull God

‘Secret Invasion’ Crew Merch Hints at the Arrival of the Skrull God

After a bunch of photos found their way online from the Secret Invasion set, things have gone a bit cold. Yet, Twitter user @DadandLad4 has seemingly shared a baseball cap from the Disney+ series’ production. While we’re still a bit puzzled about the mysterious owl with a clock, there’s Skrull writing on the side of the baseball cap. Our team quickly took the time to analyze what it might mean and it hints at a rather interesting comic tie-in.

The writing seemingly spells out “He Loves You.” While it seems rather strange at first, this small phrase actually has quite the comic history. It is commonly said by the Skrulls when they reference their Skrull God Kly’bn. He was actually an Eternal as the Celestials created him on the planet of Skrullos as well. What makes him important to Skrull lore is that he was the one that made a prophecy they’d find a new home. There’s an iconic moment from The Incredible Hercules #119 that references this iconic phrase, which was a tie-in to the Secret Invasion comic storyline.

So, it seems that we might get to explore more of Skrull’s history in the upcoming Disney+ series, which is a great showcase of how the franchise is starting to expand its mythology moving forward. The owl actually has Nick Fury’s eyepatch and the green color may be connected to the Skrulls. Yet, the owl and time might have a thematic connection throughout the series and might even tie into the Skrull God Kly’bn tease, who was the one to prophecies they’d find a new home planet.

  • Hayden Christensen Teases Darth Vader’s Future Beyond ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’

Hayden Christensen Teases Darth Vader’s Future Beyond ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’

Hayden Christensen is making his grand return to a galaxy far, far away in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and it appears he may be back for the long haul. The actor portrayed Anakin Skywalker in the latter two of George Lucas’ three prequel films, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. When he appears in Kenobi, it’ll be as the iconic villain Darth Vader, who Christensen only previously had a chance to play in a handful of scenes. In a recent interview with Total Film, the one-time leading man spoke about his on-screen transition from Jedi Knight to Sith Lord:

When George [Lucas] had brought me onto the prequels, it was to play Anakin. He gets knighted as Darth Vader towards the end, and for a couple of scenes I get to put the suit on. But my journey with the character was with Anakin Skywalker. But the character? He’s such a complex character. And now, getting to explore the mindset and the emotional state of Darth Vader, has been a lot of fun.

    Hayden Christensen

More importantly, Christensen continued talking to give a tease for his future with the franchise. There have been rumors that he’ll return to the Vader role for an appearance in the upcoming Ashoka series on Disney+, and while the actor wouldn’t reveal if this is true, he did hint that he may not be done playing Darth Vader:

The extent of this journey, I think, remains to be seen. But what a privilege to get to come back and do this, and to be a part of this project.

    Hayden Christensen

It certainly sounds like we might get a lot more of Vader moving forward, even if he may be mostly in the form of flashbacks. Yet, they are starting to expand the timeline with different projects. Who knows if they have plants o set some stories up through Obi-Wan Kenobi that would also see his return in a future project.
