  • ‘American Horror Story’ Spin-Off Set Photos Reveal the Return of Evan Peters’ Tate Langdon

‘American Horror Story’ Spin-Off Set Photos Reveal the Return of Evan Peters’ Tate Langdon

American Horror Story has been quite the hit for a long time. After nine seasons, it was bound to get some sort of spin-off. Last year, series creator, Ryan Murphy, announced the anthology series was in works at FX and would see self-contained stories taking around an hour each. The series would explore old and new locations. The first season would consist of sixteen episodes diving into “horror myths, legends, and lore” while also featuring familiar faces from AHS‘s past. With little to no casting details on the upcoming series, a set photo confirms the return of a fan favorite.

New set photos from the spin-off’s set, which is currently filming at the Rammstein Mansion. It is probably better known as the Murder House. The set photos offer our first confirmation that Evan Peters will return in the role of Tate Langdon, one of the many spirits that haunt the home. It’s currently unconfirmed as to who else from the original cast but Violet would make a lot of sense.

American Horror Stories is set to release on FX on Hulu but currently has no set release date and has yet to reveal an official cast. It’ll be interesting how many other storylines might get explored in the spin-off, as they seem less restrained with an overarching plot throughout the season. They could have a connecting theme, which is a staple of the franchise. We cannot wait to see what other familiar faces might make their grand return in the near future.

  • ‘Doom Patrol’ Finds Its Sisterhood of Dada

‘Doom Patrol’ Finds Its Sisterhood of Dada

For a while news on this upcoming season of Doom Patrol was scarce, and many began to fear the worst when we didn’t get an initial green light for the third season on HBO Max. Fans were clamoring for some sort of confirmation when the second season found fans on one mighty cliffhanger. The team was at the mercy of the Candlemaker, a foe who’d been casually fighting to break free from Dorothy’s imagination. The third season is now well into production, it looks like they’ve found their villains for this upcoming season.

Deadline is reporting that actors Micah Joe Parker, Wynn Everett, Miles Mussenden, Anita Kalathara, Gina Hiraizumi have joined the cast of the upcoming third season in recurring roles as members of the Sisterhood of Dada. Parker will play Malcolm, Everett will play the role of The Fog, Miles Mussenden as Frenzy, Anita Kalathar as Sleepwalk, and Gina Hiraizumi as The Quiz.

Doom Patrol third season has no set release date but will be made available through HBO Max. The season will feature the returns of Jovian Wade, Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Matt Bomer, Timothy Dalton, alongside newcomer Michelle Gomez as Madame Rogue. It is unknown if the Sisterhood of Dada will be the main antagonist throughout the season, or they might just give our unlikely heroes a temporary distraction. Alan Tudyk was a member of the comics’ Brotherhood of Dada, but there is no word if he might make a return.

  • ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’s Set Photos Tease a ‘Sonic Adventures 2’-Inspired Storyline

‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’s Set Photos Tease a ‘Sonic Adventures 2’-Inspired Storyline

When fans first got their look at Sonic the Hedgehog’s live-action film, the reactions were less than thrilled, with many fans begging for it to be redone. They wanted them to embrace the cartoonish aspects of the original design from the hit games. The studio quickly gave in and delayed the film to completely revamp Sonics’ design. This move was accepted with open arms by fans.

Now, the sequel is already underway with more iconic Sega characters joining. We recently got our first look at Knuckles alongside Sonic and Tails stand-ins through set photos. They offered our best look yet at the upcoming sequel. Luckily, more set photos have made their way online, giving us yet another look at the film and characters previously seen in Sonic Adventures 2.

Lined across the streets of the set are some pretty insane military vehicles that just happened to have the “G” logo on them. For those who aren’t familiar with it, this logo definitely represents the Guardian Units of Nations Aka G.U.N. They first appeared in Sonic Adventures 2. They are a worldwide military and law enforcement organization that’s run by a figure only known as the Commander. He is tasked with defending Earth from malicious threats like Dr. Robotnik. It can be assumed that G.U.N was formed following the events of the first film, where Sonic and Robotnik’s battled throughout every corner of the planet at super speed.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is currently set to release on April 8th, 2022 with director Jeff Fowler returning. James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and of course, Ben Schwartz, whose voice work on the previous film was widely praised by fans and critics alike, are returning in their respective roles. It’s currently unknown who will serve as the voice actor for Knuckles and if Colleen O’Shaughnessey will return to voice Tails following his brief appearance at the tail end of the first film. There is the rumor that Jason Momoa was offered the role of Knuckles. It’ll be interesting to see if the film will include elements from Sonic Adventure 2.

  • Drafting The ‘Armor Wars’ Rogue’s Gallery

Drafting The ‘Armor Wars’ Rogue’s Gallery

We still don’t know much about Marvel Studios Armor Wars. We only know that Don Cheadle reprises his role as War Machine, and the series would deal with the death of Tony Stark. His worst nightmare has finally arrived when his technology falls into the wrong hands. When Kevin Feige uttered that sentence, it opened up a world of possibilities. The character still features a lot of unexplored history within the Marvel comics, which opens up the doors to many of his rogue’s gallery making an appearance. So, we used the chance to figure out who exactly will be after his tech:

    Crimson Dynamo

Supervillain Origins: The Crimson Dynamo - YouTube

Crimson Dynamo has gone through multiple iterations. His first was Anton Vanko, who briefly appeared in Iron Man 2 as the father of Ivan Vanko. Anton since passed on, but that doesn’t mean Dynamo’s legacy ended there. His successor would a protege named Alexander, who took on the mantle after getting exiled. He even grew to hate his motherland and Tony Stark for what they did to the man he admired. The second entry of Iron Man did include some tributes to his character with Ivan Vanko building a Whiplash armor.

    The Beetle

Beetle (Origin) - Comic Basics -

While Abner Jenkins is sometimes known as a Spider-Man villain, the character has had many run-ins with Iron Man, especially during the first Armor Wars comic storyline. The original armor got destroyed by Iron Man. That didn’t stop Jenkins, as he got a new suit with some massive upgrades through Justin Hammer. He used stolen Stark Tech to upgrade the armor. Something many might remember him doing with the Wr Machine armor in Iron Man 2. Jenkins would fit well within the story considering his involvement in the comics, and it’s just a matter of rights considering his ties to Spider-Man.

    Detroit Steel

The Detroit Steel armor got piloted by the United States Air Force Lieutenant Doug Johnson III. He underwent surgical modifications to be able to function in the suit. At the time, Justine and Sasha Hammer had taken over Hammer Industries following the death of their grandfather. The two hated Stark and blamed him for Justin’s passing. They saw him as a roadblock in their path to selling Detroit Steele-inspired soldiers around the world. Tony Stark’s death in the MCU opens the door for Hammer industries to move along a similar path and introduce Detroit Steel to the public.

    The Tinkerer

Phineas Mason first appeared in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and worked alongside Vulture and Shocker. He was part of the crew as they stole Stark and Alien tech. His role was to rework it into weapons that they can sell on the black market. Tinkerer’s presence in Armor Wars would be quite the earnest addition when you look back at how previous Disney+ series brought back characters like Darcy, Jimmy, and Sharon Carter. In a story about stolen tech, Tinkerers’ expertise would be the obvious choice in reworking Stark Tech into weapons of mass destruction.

    Chemistro

Luke Cage Season 2: 5 Villains We Want To See

Curtis Carr developed an alchemy-based gun during his time at Mainstream Motors. It was able to transmute matter in an unknown process. It could even turn glass into the wood. Curtis got fired for his work, and his life’s work got confiscated, as he made it on the company’s time. He stole the gun and became Chemistro. Subsequently, he enacted his revenge against the company. Curtis would come to work with Iron Man and War Machine in a fight against the Wrecker. He even became the lead director at Stark prosthetics. Chemistro was no more until his brother, Calvin, stole the gun and began a life of crime, fighting against the likes of Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

While details on Armor Wars remain scarce, many fans are excited to see the return of Jim Rhodes as War Machine. It’ll offer a closer look at how much Rhodes’s life has changed during the blip and how life has changed for the veteran turned superhero. He will carry the heavy legacy of Tony on his back as he continues carrying the title of War Machine.

  • ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’s Thomas Kretschmann Joins ‘Indiana Jones 5’

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’s Thomas Kretschmann Joins ‘Indiana Jones 5’

The next installment in the Indiana Jones franchise is quickly gathering its uncanny cast to star alongside Harrison Ford. He returns to one of his most iconic roles for the first time since 2008’s Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skulls. Plot details for the upcoming film are being kept under wraps as the film will be the first in the series not directed by cinema icon, Steven Spielberg. Recently the project added Madds Mikkelsen alongside Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and it seems the project isn’t done adding to its cast just yet.

It’s being reported that German actor Thomas Kretschmann has joined the cast of the upcoming installment in an undisclosed role. Kretschmann is most known for his role as Baron Von Strucker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing briefly in the end credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and in Avengers: Age of Ultron. His run of the character was short-lived, ass he met his untimely demise at the hands of Ultron.

Indiana Jones 5 is currently set to release on July 29th, 2022, and will be directed by James Mangold alongside the return of John Williams, who will once again compose the score for the film, with Steven Spielberg remaining on the project as a producer.

  • Set Photos Offer First Look at Knuckles in ‘Sonic 2’

Set Photos Offer First Look at Knuckles in ‘Sonic 2’

The first Sonic film was quite the hot topic back when the first poster was released, and fans had a glimpse at the character’s silhouette before they got to see the real deal. What fans got was apparently not up to their standards as the reveal was met with immediate backlash on its more realistic approach to the popular hedgehog. It was announced soon after that the studio would be delaying the film and that they would be heading back to the drawing board to redesign the character. The new design was a hit, capturing an aesthetic that pleased fans of the popular franchise and would go on gross $300+ million at the box office, scoring an immediate greenlight on the sequel.

Towards the end of the credits of the first film, fans were met with the arrival of another fan-favorite character: Tails. Many began to wonder if we’d be seeing any other characters joining Sonic in the upcoming sequel and new set photos have indeed confirmed that Knuckles the Echidna is jumping into the fray. The character, like Sonic and Tails, is sporting another accurate look to his video game counterpart and is sure to bring some brute force with him in this one.

Sonic 2 is currently set to release on April 8th, 2022 with director Jeff Fowler back to helm the project. The cast for the upcoming film includes more returning talent such as James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Ben Schwartz. Its currently unknown if Jim Carrey will reprise his role as Dr. Robotnik in the sequel, and casting for Tails and Knuckles still remains under wraps. In Tail’s brief appearance at the end of the first film, the character was voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessy, who’s been voicing the character for quite some time now; it’s unknown if she will be reprising that role.

  • New ‘Shang-Chi’ Marvel Legends Leak Offers More Details on Awkwafina’s Katy

New ‘Shang-Chi’ Marvel Legends Leak Offers More Details on Awkwafina’s Katy

After months of clamoring from fans, the trailer for Marvel’s Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is finally here offering our first real look into the MCU’s world of martial arts. The film will see the big-screen debut of Simu Liu as the titular hero. He must face his past that he once ran away from and confront his father Wenwu, better known as the villainous Mandarin. Awkwafina will play the character Katy, who seems to be Shang-Chi’s good friend. A new toy leak has revealed a Target exclusive figure that will join their upcoming Marvel Legends line for Shang Chi. The figure in question is Awkwafina’s character Katy, whose description details that she is “Shang-Chi’s oldest friend, is free-spirited and fiercely loyal”. The toy teases a very different character from what we saw in the trailer.

Not much was known about Katy and this look is certainly a new one for her. It may hint at her character having a secret past that will be explored in the film. longside the figure, it seems that she comes with a Dijiang, a creature seen in previous leaks alongside Legos, and puzzled many fans. It’s unknown what the connection is to the character but quite possibly has a stronger connection to Awkwafina‘s Katy.

Marvel Studio’s Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is currently set to release in theaters on September 3rd, 2021 coming from director Destin Daniel Cretton. The film is set to star Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, Ronny Chieng, and Florian Munteanu.

  • How ‘The Flash’ Could Introduce Earth-2’s The Wonders of The World

How ‘The Flash’ Could Introduce Earth-2’s The Wonders of The World

The concept of a multiverse is incredible. It leads to limitless potential and allows new stories to get told with similar characters. In a way, the creative choices are endless, especially when it comes to having an ever-expanding array of worlds. The multiverse seems like DC’s primary focus for the time being, as we’re already seen new worlds blossom. They have already explored the concept through the Arrowverse. Now, the films are embracing it with the mainline DCEU and The Batman. I believe there’s room for another franchise in this ever-expanding IP, the exploration of Earth-2.

The current state of the DC Multiverse is a bit of a mess, to be honest. Some executives have said Earth-2 is the home of Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Yet, during the rebirth of the multiverse in CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event, Stargirl and the Justice Society of America’s home was given that title. Luckily, there is one film that can clear the air on this mystery. It is the upcoming The Flash film by Andy Muschietti. For a brief history lesson, 1961’s The Flash #123 hit spinner racks around the country and introduced the multiverse to the DC Universe. It saw Barry Allen and Jay Garrick meet for the first time. I can’t think of a better film to introduce the multiverse to the DCEU than The Flash.

On Earth-2 resides a team known as the Wonders of the World, an alternate version of the Justice League with a roster made up of Jay Garrick’s Flash, Alan Scott’s Green Lantern, Huntress, Val Zod, Thomas Wayne, Power Girl, and even a Red Tornado Android with the mind of Lois Lane. What first sparked this idea was the news of Micheal Keaton’s return to the cape and cowl, along with the recent reveal of Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El. There is also the recent news of a Val-Zod-focused film in development, which helped build the connection. While these castings could be a coincidence, Keaton filling the role of Thomas Wayne and Calle as Power-Girl would fit considerably well.

With the sudden eagerness to embrace the multiverse amongst their projects, introducing the Wonders would give them yet another franchise and world to play in. They could even take some more creative leaps with the characters. With the future of the Justice League still uncertain, the DCEU can rely on some of their other stronger teams, like the wonders and even the upcoming JSA, as they make their debut in Black Adam.

  • REPORT: ‘Doom Patrol’ Season 3 Finds its Dead Boy Detectives

REPORT: ‘Doom Patrol’ Season 3 Finds its Dead Boy Detectives

The third season of Doom Patrol is definitely one that fans have been clamoring for since last year. It will pick up there where we left our miserable band of “heroes.” At the end of the series the second season, they were quite literally in pieces and at the mercy of the Candlemaker. For those who weren’t aware, the second season met an abrupt end last year in March, as the pandemic had begun to cause almost if not all productions around the world to cease filming due to health concerns. Doom Patrol was no different, as its tenth episode got cut and left the series on one hell of a cliffhanger. Now that filming has been able to resume, it seems we’ve gotten another addition to Doom Manor, in the form of the Dead Boy Detectives.

The Direct has unveiled that actors Sebastian Croft and Ty Tenant have joined the upcoming season. They will be playing Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, who are better known as the Dead Boy Detectives. For those unfamiliar with the characters, they were created by Neil Gaiman. The pair are exactly what you think they are, undead boys who instead of moving into the afterlife, remain on Earth to solve the mysteries of the living. Doom Patrol‘s third season currently has no set release date and is still filming. The season will feature the return of everyone’s favorite moody science experiments including Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Jovian Wade, Matt Bomer, Timothy Dalton, and newcomer Michelle Gomez.

  • ‘Game of Thrones’ Pilou Asbaek Joins ‘Aquaman 2’

‘Game of Thrones’ Pilou Asbaek Joins ‘Aquaman 2’

With filming on the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s billion-dollar blockbuster looking to ramp up its production in June, we were bound to hear some news on it sooner than later. Plot details for the film have been kept under wraps and it’s unknown as to who or where we’ll see our new king of Atlantis off too next, but it seems that we have a new addition to the film. Deadline has unveiled that Game of Thrones actor Pilou Asbaek, best know for his role as Euron Greyjoy of the Iron Islands, will come to face former Khal Drogo, Jason Momoa, in the upcoming sequel for the film.

It’s unknown who Asbaek will be playing in the film, as they remain secretive. Just a few weeks ago, we reported on casting breakdowns for the sequel going around. One character in particular named Kore. The role was for an actor in the 40-50-year-old range and looked to be for a villain as he was described as “domineering and cunning,” which could be a perfect role for Asbaek. The role in question I believe to be that of Corum Rath, an Atlantean eco-terrorist who sought to bring the war to the surface world who sought to overthrow Arthur.

Aquaman 2 is currently set to release on December 16th, 2022 with James Wan returning too direct. The film will also feature the return of Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Willem Dafoe.
