‘The Flash’: Set Photos Offer First Look at Jordan Fischer as Impulse

The Flash has been a staple in the comic book community since it first premiered back in 2014. The series follows the story of Barry Allen as he works to save the city from all sorts of meta-human or otherworldly threats. For the past seven seasons, The Flash has explored the speed force in many ways. It has introduced different speedsters including Jay Garrick, Reverse-Flash, Zoom, Jesse Quick, Kid Flash, and even Barry’s daughter, XS. In the upcoming 150th episode, the series will introduce Bart Allen, the wildly rambunctious descendant of Barry and Iris. As such, he also goes by the appropriate name of Impulse. Luckily, it seems the first images of his costume have found their way online.

The character of Bart Allen will be played by Jordan Fisher. It looks like the suit is quite accurate, as it even sports the white and red color scheme with his iconic goggles. The series has taken a bit of departure with this interpretation of Bart, as he’s mostly known as the grandson of Barry. In the comics, he was from a doomed future and tried to make a new life. However, in this version of the character, he’ll be the second son of the couple alongside his sister Nora. Jessica Parker-Kennedy will reprise her role as XS in the upcoming 150th episode.

Noticeable in the background is yet another appearance of Godspeed, a character whose been recurring since he first made his debut. We were first introduced to the character as XS faced off against the mysterious speedster. It’s possible the pair have come from the future to help Barry uncover the truth behind their Godspeed problem, who constantly leaves duplicates behind.

  • RUMOR: Monica Rambeau May Appear in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

RUMOR: Monica Rambeau May Appear in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness will see the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme. He will be joined by Elizabeth Olsen, who has been recently embraced as the moniker of Scarlet Witch after the events of WandaVision. So far, we do know that they will be joined by Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez. Now, it seems a familiar face may be joining the sequel. In a report by Full Circle, insider Daniel Richtman has revealed that Monica Rambeau may have a role in the upcoming sequel.

Teyonah Parris introduced the world to an older Monica Rambeau, who was first seen as a kid in Captain Marvel. She returned in the first Disney+ series WandaVision. In it, she played a vital role in Wand’s journey to acceptance and even gained powers of her own. It’s unclear what role she’d be playing in the movie, or if she’d even be suited up as her alter ego, Photon. She is confirmed to return in the now retitled Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels.

Her addition does raise a few questions. It would hint at the involvement of SWORD in the upcoming film, but she may also become an emotional anchor for Wanda. The after-credit sequence hinted at her finding a way to bring her children back to life. So, it would make sense for a familiar face, who saw what she went through, could help her through whatever journey she might face. It’ll be interesting to see how it all comes together once the film premieres next March.

  • Hannah John-Kamen Will Become Millenium’s ‘Red Sonja’

Hannah John-Kamen Will Become Millenium’s ‘Red Sonja’

For a while now, Millenium Entertainment has been itching to get their Red Sonja reboot off the ground. They’ve faced multiple delays and issues with development since it was first announced. The film is finally beginning to find its footing with Joel Soloway set to direct the project, while also co-writing the script alongside Tasha Huo. The project has taken yet another leap forward as the project has found its leading lady. Ant-Man and The Wasp actress Hannah John-Kamen will lead the upcoming film as the titular hero, Red Sonja. Soloway gave the following statement:

Hannah is a very talented actress who we’ve been following for years and she IS Red Sonja, Her range, sensibilities, and strength are all qualities we have been looking for and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey together.

For those unfamiliar with the character, she was created by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor and first appeared in Marvel Comics’ Conan The Barbarian #23 back in 1973. Sonja lived with her family in the Western Hyrkanian Steppes, where a group of mercenaries would pillage and destroy Sonja’s homes. They’d end up killing her father, mother, and two brothers. In a final plea for help, the red goddess Scathach appeared, gifting her incredible abilities such as expert level swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat. It’ll be interesting to see how they adapt the character into live-action, as she has already been brought to the silver screen back in 1985.

  • WB Confirms its Search for A New Superman

WB Confirms its Search for A New Superman

The future of Kal-El in the DC Universe has been up in the air for some time now. The last time we officially saw him was at the tail end of Shazam, in which a body double donned the cape for the brief cameo appearance. Fans have been clamoring for another film in the Superman franchise, With Henry Cavill back in the role and continuing where they left off in  Man of Steel. It seems now that the studio has another idea, and wishes to move in a different direction with the character.

A while back it was reported that author Ta-Nehisi Coates was set to write the script for the next Superman film, with J.J. Abrams producing on the project. With this news came word that the studio was interested in the idea of having a Black actor pick up the cape and crest as the next Man of Steel. A recent report from The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed this news and adds that the studio is looking for someone to star and direct. Details from sources close to the project say that Coates is developing a story that would see Kal-El coming from Krypton while also possibly being a 20th century period piece. Coates isn’t expected to turn in his script until December, so it could be a while before we hear any news on who will star or direct the project.

The film could be looking to tell the story of Calvin Ellis, who also happens to go by Kal-El, sent to earth as the world of Krypton imploded in on itself. This version of Superman is also the president of the United States on his earth, having been based on former president Barack Obama.

The next Superman film is still in very early development, and will reportedly follow the same route as The Batman as it’s reportedly not set within the main continuity of the overall franchise.

First ‘The Flash’ Set Photos Reveal ‘Batman 1989’s Wayne Manor

After years of delays and rewrites, production on The Flash has finally begun. It has lost quite a few directors and writers along the way. It wasn’t until the film finally found its footing with writer Christina Hodson and director Andy Muschietti that it would finally get the ball rolling. It is set to feature the return of Ezra Miller‘s Barry Allen, as he begins to further understand his abilities and connection to the speed force. This newfound understanding would lead to the hero unraveling the multiverse. On the journey, the Flash is set to team up with one of the most iconic characters in comic book film history, Michael Keaton’s Batman. Luckily, the first set of photos have found their way online by @DCverso1 revealing an iconic manor.

These set photos reveal the iconic Wayne Manor from the 1989 film. It seems they are once again filming at the Knebworth House in Hertfordshire. It is uncertain if this is purely for an exterior shot, but Warner Bros.’s presence is certainly eye-catching. The film is currently set to release in November of 2022. We’ve known for a while that Michael Keaton would make a return in the titular role for quite some time. Ben Affleck will also make his return in the upcoming film after reshooting some sequences for HBO Max’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League. It’ll be interesting to see if we get to revisit any other familiar Batman locations, such as Batman Begins‘ Wollaton Hall in Nottingham as Barry travels through the multiverse.

‘Borderlands’ Finds Its Mad Moxxi and Sir Hammerlock

Adaptions of popular video game franchises have always been quite a hot topic. They always end up in one of two categories. However, in recent years these adaptations have become increasingly better with films like Detective Pikachu and Mortal Kombat breaking the mold. These projects managed to give the fans of the franchises a fun time seeing these projects adapted in live-action. Next up on the block is the ever-popular franchise Borderlands. The franchise tells the tales of vault hunters, who take on the full force of Hyperion and are after the riches that lie below the surface of Pandora. • New ‘American Horror Story’ Spin-Off Set Video Reveals Cast Members and a Familiar Rubber Man Suit

New ‘American Horror Story’ Spin-Off Set Video Reveals Cast Members and a Familiar Rubber Man Suit

American Horror Story has always been one of TV’s most curious properties. Its potential in rebooting the storyline each season with a new set of cast members was the perfect recipe for a never-ending pool of potential. The show is now entering its tenth season, and it won’t be alone. It wasn’t until early last year that series creator Ryan Murphy announced a spin-off titled American Horror Stories would enter production. The series would kick the anthology premise into overdrive as each episode is its own self-contained story. It would see the return of old and new characters. We’ve received little to no casting on the project, aside from setting pics that revealed the return of Evan Peters Tate Langdon, but more footage from the set has revealed a few new cast members.

The footage from the set, currently filming at Rammstein manor, better known as the Murder House from the first season, has revealed actresses Sierra McCormickKaia GerberParis Jackson, and Ashley Carter. Plot details for this episode seem to revolve around Halloween if we go by the set decoration. The actresses also seem to be in costume to celebrate the season. We have to highlight that McCormick‘s character is wearing the infamous Rubber Man suit. It got previously worn by Tate Langdon in the first season. American Horror Stories currently has no set release date and has only just begun production, so it may be a while before we get yet another return to the murder house. It’s unclear if these actresses will be returning for further episodes as well.
