‘Ms. Marvel’ Episode Titles Have Seemingly Leaked

It’s almost frustrating to think that we would have gotten Ms. Marvel last year if things turned out as originally planned. The show was one of the Disney+ shows to film early, only for it to be delayed due to uncontrollable circumstances. Currently, the show is undergoing a round of reshoots that hint at key story points in the season. Beyond that, there’s not much information known about the season arc. However, a posting on TV Time seemingly has the episode titles of Ms. Marvel listed, which may give us a sense of what’s going on.

The first episode is aptly titled Kamala Khan: Embiggen! which may dispel those worrying rumors that her iconic embiggening powers would be altered for the show. Lockin’ Jaws is a reference to everyone’s favorite teleporting mutt, Lockjaw. The Woman I Look Up To reads like a Carol Danvers-centric episode, highlighting Kamala’s admiration for the character. My Faith is evidently about Kamala’s Islamic faith, a crucial aspect of the character.

It’s hard to pinpoint just how true these titles are given the inaccuracy of the countdown listen. Some of them undeniably sound suspicious. Based on the countdown, the first episode seems to be dropping on May 13th, which is a Friday. The Marvel shows on Disney+ usually drop on Wednesdays, which rules out certain details of this supposed leak.

  • New ‘Ms. Marvel’ Set Photos Tease a ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Connection

New ‘Ms. Marvel’ Set Photos Tease a ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Connection

It looks like set photos have slowly found their way online from the Ms. Marvel reshoots, which offer a curious update on what we can expect from the Disney+ series. What stands out is that these photos not only include Iman Vellani in the costume that was briefly teased in the initial Disney+ Day trailer, but the fact she is seemingly chased down by a very familiar-looking drone to Spider-Man fans.

Spider-Man: Far From Home viewers might instantly recognize the drone that Mysterio used to pin everything on Peter Parker. With the help of EDITH, these Stark Tech drones ended up causing a lot of damage to London Bridge. That wasn’t the last we saw of them, as they would eventually show up in No Way Home as the government seized the assets after Parker was blamed for Mysterio’s murder. So, there’s a chance that someone got their hand on it and repurposed You can check the images shared by @CosmicMMedia here:

It’s really interesting to see the drones make a return even if they aren’t the exact same that we saw back in No Way Home. Stark’s legacy might live on, but it opens up the question of who might be controlling them if they are chasing down Kamala. She may have her abilities already at this point. So, someone is out there trying to control the meta-human population. It’s not too dissimilar to Marvel’s Avengers plot, which also focused on the young Inhuman.

  • Official Japanese Marvel Site May Offer First Glimpse at Marvel Studios’ 2022 Disney+ Schedule

Official Japanese Marvel Site May Offer First Glimpse at Marvel Studios’ 2022 Disney+ Schedule

We’ve been trying to wrap our heads around what the schedule might look like for Marvel Studios’ release plans on Disney+ in 2022. We even made a conceptual timeline, which you can check out here. The latest reveal that we’ll get a Moon Knight trailer on Monday at least confirmed what we can expect early on, but we still know very little about the rest of the year. Luckily, the Japanese Marvel site may have offered our potential first glimpse at the 2022 release schedule.

What stands out is that Moon Knight is included ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is then followed by She-Hulk. That schedule makes sense given the six-episode structure, but what is a bit confusing is that between its release and that of Thor: Love and Thunder in July, we would get not one but three Disney+ series. In addition to She-Hulk, I Am Groot and the second season of What If…? are included. Of course, it may overlap given when the shows might release, but Ms. Marvel seemingly won’t release until the fourth Thor film hits theaters in July.

It seems a bit unrealistic we’d get three shows in the course of a few months, as 2021 was quite spread out. Plus, there are also quite a few Star Wars series that is aiming a release next year Also, if this is a potential “release schedule” it does make you wonder why Secret Invasion is set ahead of November’s release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but is the only one listed without a release date. Plus, it would make sense for that series to release around The Marvels and it might be quite a lot if they release six series over the course of a year.

It actually makes you wonder just how big a project I Am Groot might be, as it could be closer to Disney+’s classic shorts. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s more an Olaf Presents-type series that consists of a few smaller segments. So, that would make its release more fitting but What If…? and She-Hulk within around two months seems like a lot. Perhaps they are trying out a new strategy this year, but we won’t know until we get a clearer release date.

  • RUMOR: Pakistani Actress Mehwish Hayat May Have a Role in ‘Ms. Marvel’

RUMOR: Pakistani Actress Mehwish Hayat May Have a Role in ‘Ms. Marvel’

As fans wait for a release date for Ms. Marvel (and the rest of Marvel Studios 2022 Disney Plus slate), it seems another member of the cast may have been discovered. Actress Mehwish Hayat, described as one of Pakistan’s leading actresses in her IMDB profile, seems to have joined the cast of the series alongside fellow Pakistani actors Fawad Khan and Nimra Bucha.

The rumor comes way of the Express Tribune, which clearly stated that the casting is not confirmed at this point. According to the Tribune, they were able to deduce that Hayat had a role in the series after first mistakenly believing that one her co-stars on Punjab Nahi Jaungi would be in Ms. Marvel. Once that was cleared up, they site made the connection to Hayat and went from there.

While Khan’s role in the series is unknown at the time, it’s been speculated that he might be playing one of the villains of the series, the Clan Destine, so it’s possible that Hayat may be joining him as one of the family.

  • Iman Vellani Spotted in Atlanta for Rumored ‘Ms.Marvel’ Reshoots

Iman Vellani Spotted in Atlanta for Rumored ‘Ms.Marvel’ Reshoots

Kamala Khan is set to make her live-action debut this year in Ms.Marvel, one of the next series set to hit Disney+. While we don’t have an exact release date for the series just yet, we know it’s set to premiere sometime this summer on the streamer. So far, it’s the only 2022 Disney+ released by Marvel Studios that have any release window. Recent rumors surrounding the series say it is set to undergo quite a bit of reshoots before its debut.

For now, it was mostly just a rumor making the rounds, but it seems the cast might be arriving, as star Iman Vellani has been spotted arriving in Atlanta. Instagram user epik_Ink2020, who confirmed multiple celebrity arrivals in Atlanta via his instagram account in the past, shared a new image with the actress confirming she’s in Georgia.

Atlanta Filming has also made a statement on her arrival after having teased the potential reshoots:

Her arrival does add some fuel to the rumors and it seems likely that they’ll start production on the series’ reshoots. A few months back, leaked promotional material revealed that Ms. Marvel no longer had her embiggening abilites and instead had been replaced with crystallized Green Lantern-like energy constructs. It is rumored she harnesses the power through the bangle she is seen wearing in the same image. This change has been quite controversial amongst fans as her Embiggening abilites played quite a pivotal role in her journey as a young pakistani girl growing up in the United States.

Ms.Marvel is still set to release this summer as of right now, but the extent of these reshoots could possibly affect the series release. It’s unknown just what the reshoots will change, or if these decisions were made prior to Vellani‘s filming on The Marvels, it’s unlikely her power set with be changed.

  • Disney+ Spain Update Indicates ‘Moon Knight’ Will Be Marvel’s First Streaming Release of 2022

Disney+ Spain Update Indicates ‘Moon Knight’ Will Be Marvel’s First Streaming Release of 2022

Marvel Studios is closing out its first year of live-action streaming content. While the series had some uneven moments, it’s hard to argue that the studio’s first foray into the world of streaming series wasn’t successful. WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Solider and Loki all featured great character work, introduced new characters and opened the door to new corners of the MCU. The studio’s final effort in year one, Hawkeye, has been similarly well-received and will close out the year with a Kingpin-sized bang.

Of course even as we’re still getting great content in 2021, fans are eagerly anticipating Marvel’s 2022 slate of streaming series. Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk are all sure things for the service as well as a Werewolf By Night project that could be the studio’s first made-for-Disney+ movie and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Even with all that going on, it’s possible that Secret Invasion could find a spot on the streaming service near the end of 2022 as well.

The studio has, however, been tight-lipped about WHEN we can expect which series, with Ms. Marvel being the only one to which they’ve assigned a time frame. While we wait on Disney’s 2022 press kit, an update by Disney+ Spain, shared on Twitter by Quid Vacuo, looks to give a little more insight on what to expect when.

The update, emailed to press yesterday, lists the three Marvel Studios projects in the order indicated above, meaning it’s likely that that the Oscar Isaac-led series should stream first, likely shortly after The Book of Boba Fett completes its run. While it is an official communication, it’s important to remember that the 2021 press preview kit indicated that Ms. Marvel would not only stream in 2021, but also stream before Hawkeye. Things can and do change all the time, a lesson fans have had to learn time and time again over the past 2 years.

Should this potential schedule hold, fans would have 3 streaming series, spanning 22 episodes (She-Hulk is said to have a 10-episode run) between February and September. Marvel Studios also has films slated for May (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), July (Thor: Love and Thunder) and November (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), the two holiday-themed events as stated above and a second season of What If…?, meaning fans have plenty of content to consume in 2022.

  • New ‘The Marvels’ Crew Merch Highlights the Main Trio

New ‘The Marvels’ Crew Merch Highlights the Main Trio

Not too long ago, we learned that production has wrapped on The Marvels. The Captain Marvel sequel will expand its cast in a new way, as it’s no longer just a story about Carol Danvers but also her new fellow Marvel’s, Iman Vellani‘s Kamala Khan and Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau. The official logo already teased the blend of all three icons and it seems that trend continues in the newly shared crew merch by prosthetic makeup artist Kate Wakefields on her Instagram page.

While it doesn’t reveal anything new, which sometimes can be the case such as She-Hulk‘s merch accidentally including the wording “Season 1.” This time around, it’s more a tease of our main trio and highlighting each individual characters’ logo.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CWsGHApK82X/

There have been rumors that the character of Blue Marvel is potentially being included in the production, which would be fitting given the sequel’s new naming. It might be quite the leak if he was included in crew merch, which has a tendency to find their way online at some point. So, they’d likely just focus on the three characters that have been officially announced.

  • Leaked ‘The Marvels’ Set Photos Reveal New Ms. Marvel Costume and Kree’s Return

Leaked ‘The Marvels’ Set Photos Reveal New Ms. Marvel Costume and Kree’s Return

Just the other day, it seemed like Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel sequel has finally wrapped production. We know very little about the project. During Disney’s Investors Day we found out that we’ll see the return of WandaVision‘s Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and future Ms. Marvel actress Iman Velani. With a title rework, The Marvels, we’ll see the trio tackle an unlikely threat that might tie into the Secret Invasion Disney+ series. Right after it ended production, set photos have found their way online with some interesting teases.

What sticks out first is Velani’s new costume. While it retains the classic elements that were already revealed in the Disney+ series promo, there are quite a few additional elements added. The red color is more pronounced in this version and she even has additional elements on her shoulders. The iconic “S” on her chest also looks different, as it’s closer to the version of the logo than the one she wears in the promo. What is the biggest change is that she replaced her sneakers with actual boots. She’s also joined by someone on a break playing a Kree soldier given his blue skin.

The Kree were expected to make a return, but it’s great to have a confirmation. If Secret Invasion explores the Skrulls storyline set up in Captain Marvel, we may also learn that Kree has planned an invasion of their own. We still don’t know how they might’ve changed Ms. Marvel’s abilities and how she ends up joining Carol on her adventure. The set might be a tease that the story will be an intergalactic adventure, which means we’ll get some fun reactions out of Kamala Khan.
