‘Daredevil’s Charlie Cox Knows “A Little Bit” About His And Vincent D’Onofrio’s MCU Future

It’s a renaissance for fans of the Netflix Daredevil series, as Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio finally made their return. Even better, they started interacting with the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe as they appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye. Of course, the first thing everyone had on their mind is when they might finally interact again, as you can’t just reintroduce both without their ongoing conflict making a grand return. Luckily, Charlie Cox has teased that he may know a “little bit” about what the future has in store for them:

Look, I don’t have any idea what anyone’s plans are at this stage, but I presume there’s more for us to do. I know a little bit — not a huge amount — but a little bit. I am imagining, I am hoping, that our worlds will collide again because the stuff we’ve done in the past was tremendous fun to do, and he’s such an incredible actor. We have to start every conversation with, ‘What do you know?’ because you have to be careful. It’s really exciting

    Charlie Cox

He’s quite a tease, but there do seem to be big plans for the character in the MCU’s future. It’s not a surprise given just how popular Cox‘s run made the character, especially with the Daredevil series being one of the streaming service’s biggest jumping-off points to establish itself with strong storytelling. We still don’t know how they might tackle the continuation of their story, especially with how iconic the last confrontation is during the finale of the third season. So, we’ll see if their eventual reunion might clear up what exactly happened since.

  • Charlie Cox Reveals a Cut 2003 ‘Daredevil Reference From ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Charlie Cox Reveals a Cut 2003 ‘Daredevil Reference From ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

Spider-Man: No Way Home saw the big return of Charlie Cox in the role of Matt Murdock. It was an exhilarating moment for many, as his time on the Netflix series redefined some of our expectations from what it means to watch a Marvel TV show. His return was met with a lot of love, and it seems that they even wanted to include a reference to 2003’s Daredevil film featuring Ben Affleck. The reasoning was quite simple, Jon Favreau who takes on the role of Happy Hogan in the MCU once played Murdock’s partner-in-crime, Foggy Nelson. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed one of their shots included a cute reference to the actor’s time as the character.

I don’t think they used it, but we added a little Easter egg where he goes, ‘Yeah, I’m a little foggy on how that happened’ or something. That was a cool moment for me to meet him and chat about all that stuff.

    Charlie Cox

I’m sad it didn’t make it into the film, but the scene already had some great moments that it would be probably get lost in the shuffle. Plus, there’s always a chance to revisit it in the future, as it would be great for Favreau to meet the new incarnation of Foggy Nelson, which might once again be Elden Henson. I would love to see the confrontation between the two, especially as they have some unconventional nicknames with Foggy and Happy – one can dream.

  • New ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ Super Bowl Teaser Reveals First Look at Death Egg Robot

New ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ Super Bowl Teaser Reveals First Look at Death Egg Robot

A new short teaser has dropped ahead of the Super Bowl for the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which gave us quite a few new scenes from the sequel. Most of the trailer focuses primarily on offering more from Idris Elba‘s Knuckles the Echidna but there’s one major reveal that came out of nowhere. We did get a tease that Sonic and Tails are flying towards something but it wasn’t until now that it turns out it is the Death Egg Robot. He’s quite a bit larger than what he was in the games, but the design seems to stick closely to what we’ve seen in the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 game that will inspire parts of the game’s story – most notably Tails inclusion. You can check it out in all its glory here from the TV sot:

    Image

That design is insane, especially in how well it was translated into live-action. He even still has the pointy carrot-like nose and the same design he had on his shoulders from the original game. There are naturally some changes, such as the lack of his glasses but they might’ve wanted to give the giant robot a chance to emote with his eyes. We don’t see the entire body, but it does look like it’s quite a massive take on the iconic robot design. It’s also great to see Dr. Robotnik move away from his white, Apple-inspired design to embrace the more colorful takes from the games.

  • ‘Daredevil’ and Other Marvel Shows May Be Leaving Netflix Soon

‘Daredevil’ and Other Marvel Shows May Be Leaving Netflix Soon

Is Marvel’s era on Netflix ending? In a rather curious observation, many are reporting that the original Netflix shows based on Marvel properties, such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and more are seemingly going to leave the platform by the end of the month. Some eagle-eyed viewers noticed that when they start a new episode it includes a “The show is available until” marker in the top left corner. It seems that the series might be leaving the service soon.

However, there have been different dates noted such as the 1st of March and our own test including the 28th of February. As such, there’s a chance it might be a bug but its inclusion only on the Marvel shows is curious. Here’s a screenshot when we checked out an episode of Daredevil on the German/Austrian account that includes the February date. the only oddity was how it popped up briefly and quickly vanished.

@BRMarvel also shared screenshots that were shared from Europe and Latin America further hinting that the series won’t be available in those locations.

The timing of course stands out as Daredevil actors Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio recently made their return in the roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Disney+’s Hawkeye series respectively. So, if they do leave the service there’s a chance that they could find their home on Disney+. What makes that stand out is that the locations they are missing offer the Starz branding, where more adult content is offered to subscribers.

So, they could become original productions if Marvel is trying to resurrect the franchises, especially with rumors that Daredevil is getting a new project over at Marvel Studios. Of course, there’s a chance this is also simply a bug on the side of Netflix, but we haven’t seen it appear with other original shows. We’ll have to see if an official announcement follows shortly.

  • Bob Chapek Hints That ‘She-Hulk’ Won’t Release Until After ‘Ms. Marvel’

Bob Chapek Hints That ‘She-Hulk’ Won’t Release Until After ‘Ms. Marvel’

There have been some interesting small mentions from Disney’s Earnings Call that give us a clearer hint on what we can expect from Marvel Studios’ planned 2022 Disney+ release schedule. Not only did we uncover when exactly we can expect their next cinematic release to hit the streaming service, but we also got a hint at when we can expect the other series. So far, Moon Knight’s March 30th release is the only one confirmed, but it looks like we have a clearer picture of the future.

At one point during the call, he revealed that She-Hulk won’t release until after Ms. Marvel hit the streaming service. It further confirms the Marvel Japan schedule that leaked back in late January where we also saw She-Hulk as the last Disney+ release for the year. There was no mention of the animated project I Am Groot, but it seems very likely that this was the intended schedule, especially as it follows 2021’s schedule.

Marvel Studios may be focusing on releasing three live-action shows a year with an animated shortly after the summer. So, we might expect I Am Groot around the same release window that What If…? had. Of course, it won’t be the exact same structure especially as She-Hulk isn’t a holiday-themed project. So, it may release in the early Fall rather than closer to the Holidays. Plus, there’s still the question if we might expect The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special this year, which makes sense given the release of the third film in 2023. Still, it’s great to have a clearer picture of what to expect moving forward.

  • Disney+ to Add ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ This Summer

Disney+ to Add ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ This Summer

It seems we may have missed a little detail from yesterday’s Disney Earning all. while most o our focus was primarily on the impressive growth that Disney+ had in the last quarter of 2021. Yet, there was also a brief mention of the fact by Disney CEO that Bob Chapek confirmed the upcoming release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will land on Disney+ in the summer. Of course, the film won’t release until May of this year but it’s great to have a confirmation that it will release on the streaming service in a similar time window that we saw with Eternals or Shang-Chi. The confirmation was shared by @azalben on Twitter.

    https://twitter.com/azalben/status/1491528514788544513?s=21

Disney has generally focused on shortening the release window between their projects, as they are not only trying to bank on the box office success but also growing their internal streaming service. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will likely be filled to the brim with easter eggs and Disney+ will be the best place to start looking for what one might’ve missed while watching it in theaters.

Disney+ has become the home for all of Disney’s IPs but during the Earnings Call, Chapek hinted that they want to also include the Spider-Man films, but Sony’s dealings are going to keep them from doing so. We know Spider-Man: No Way Home is heading to Starz first and Sony does have a deal that their projects will eventually land on Disney+, but there’s still no clear time window when we can expect it. So, for now, we’ll have to wait for further confirmation.

  • Zoro Has Been Found as Mackenyu Joins ‘One Piece’ Production

Zoro Has Been Found as Mackenyu Joins ‘One Piece’ Production

Ever since the cast arrived in South Africa to film Netflix’s live-action adaptation of One Piece, there was an ongoing joke that Zoro actor Mackenyu was seemingly absent. The actor is mostly quiet on his Social Media, and it led to a funny running gag with the cast that he was just in character, as Zoro is famous for getting lost. Future Luffy actor Inaki Godoy even shared images of him going on the hunt to find the actor which led to a viral joke under the hashtag #FindingZoro. After a long bout of silence, it seems that Mackenyu has finally joined the production as he joins the rest with an image of his seat.

In the comments, you can see the rest of the cast having their fun, such as Emily Rudd stating “oh so u found your way” to poke fun at his absence. She was the first of the core cast to share a photo from the set, as it started last week. Mackenyu only joining this week is curious as it opens up the question if they are starting production on his part in the Romance Dawn arc.

There have been theories he’s been avoiding any photos due to having dyed his hair green to bring Zoro to life, but there was one image of him training the three-sword style. We’re still waiting for any announcements of the supporting cast, especially for big-name characters like Gol D. Roger, Shanks, or Mihawk that have small yet essential roles in the East Blue Arc. They might have not started work with them and their announcements might follow once they start work involving the characters.

  • REPORT: Secret ‘Star Wars’ Eyeing a June Production Start

REPORT: Secret ‘Star Wars’ Eyeing a June Production Start

Lucasfilm has been quite busy preparing various projects to expand its Star Wars universe. It looks like we can add one more to the list, as Bespin Bulletin has shared the news on a secret project with the codename “Grammar Rodeo” that is seemingly preparing to start production sometime in June. They inquired with their sources if this is potentially one of the previously announced projects The Acolyte or Lando, but it doesn’t seem to be the case. Yet, there is a recent report that seems the most fitting.

A week ago we learned about a potential series based in the High Republic era that will release on Disney+. Cinelinx’s Jordan Maison shared that the series was going to be the Star Wars equivalent to Netflix’s Stranger Things. Our own sources have hinted that this project is currently casting someone between the age of ten to twelve, which might be a hint that these projects are connected. We also heard that the production would end in December, which is the usual timeline for these productions.

There’s a lot of potential to explore a storyline during the High Republic, but if they are taking a route similar to Stranger Things, we might join a group of young pre-teens as they uncover the mystery surrounding the Jedi of that timeline. There’s still a chance that this may end up being a mother project like the leaked Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, but there were hints that this might be a children’s animated series. So, if it starts production in June we might get an announcement sooner rather than later.

  • Robert Pattinson Tried on All Former Batman Suits Except One

Robert Pattinson Tried on All Former Batman Suits Except One

Fandango has just dropped an exclusive interview with the cast of The Batman, as they shared some insights into what to expect from the film. We’re only a few more weeks away and the tickets are finally up for sale. During the interview, the cast is asked who their favorite incarnation of Batman was, and got a surprising reveal from its main star Robert Pattinson, who got a chance to actually wear most of the suits from the former films.

I weirdly got to try on every single Batman outfit for my screen test to see actually which Batman I was. […] The only person who had a large enough head to fit into the cowl was Clooney. I did not realize everyone else had quite small heads. So you can judge it, the most important thing is the cowl, but his suit I could not fit into.

    Robert Pattinson

He does reveal that there was one exception, as he didn’t have the chance to try on Adam West‘s costume, but his costume probably would break at this point if someone would try to put it on. It’s kind of a great idea to let Pattison try on the costumes to get a feeling for which one fits him best. It’s funny to think that only George Clooney‘s cowl fit his head. Sadly, we might not get to see the photos of him wearing the costumes but there’s always a chance the blu-ray release, later on, might include it.
