Mortal Kombat is getting a new cinematic adaptation since 1997’s Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. This film is the result of Kevin Tancharoen once pitching a film to Warner Bros. Pictures in 2010. It wasn’t until 2015 that the film would enter production. Now, the film is slated to release in early 2021 with a confirmed R-rating.
