TBD: METAL GEAR SOLID
Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts joined the production in 2017. Columbia Pictures is producing the film with Jay Basu attached as the screenplay writer. It is uncertain if and in what capacity Hideo Kojima is involved with the project after his studio split from Konami in 2015. They still own the rights to the franchise that he created.
The first casting announcement came in December 2020 when Oscar Isaac signed onto the project play Solid Snake.
